After perusing the selection here on Oxford Street, I have to say that I don't think it really is any different in the UK. That being said, the store was very clean and the limited staff interaction that we had was pleasant. I hadn't come across an H&M with self-checkout before and I was intrigued. Imagine how bummed I was when it gave me a bizarre warning after scanning my one and only item and I had to wait for a clerk to come over. She explained that it does random checks and I was "lucky" enough to get selected. That minor delaying mishap out of the way, it was an overall pleasant experience.

It was priced at £9.99, and as they are currently doing a promotion I received 30% off! That's the kind of maths I like to do! You can also get chunky jumpers, comfy jeans, hats, wallets and bags. Finally, I saw past the squareness of it all on an early June day, and made my way in to the quaint boutique. Here's the skinny -- everything is a bit boxy. It's not quite as "shoreditch" as the window displays would have you believe, though. The upside to this particular cut and style is that it fits a wider range of people (pun intended? no). For me though personally, not very flattering so I skipped on most of the items I adored on the racks. but did end up with one very lovely summery dress that will be very nice for work, chiming in at £78. It's flowy, not boxy -- big difference! However ACCESSORIES. This is where it's at in the Relax Garden, my dears. Earrings, necklaces, scarves, sunglasses...all very inexpensive. I snagged a gorgeous pair of triangle earrings, a summer scarf, a headband (we'll see how that goes) and was truly delighted at the options. It's a very small shop. The women are friendly and somewhat over involved in the experience. I am sure they are happy to help, but I do prefer a bit more space. I am sure if I had just told them that they would've left me to it. They've been open 10 years. They are doing something right! The clothes are well made and not nearly as expensive as I had anticipated. If you are shopping in or around Shoreditch High Street, make sure to give this one a go, it'll be worth it for the accessories and perhaps you are the perfect person for that square fit boxy look -- then it's a goldmine.

Everyone knows that Japanese people are unquestionably the best dressers in the world, so Japanese designers are generally a safe bet. I like this store because it looks very expensive, but isn't. They stock an interesting selection of garment designs in great colours and fabrics. They also have some beautiful leather bags and very cool jewellery. My favourite piece in the shop this season is a bright orange, button up jersey vest. Every time I have been in here the staff have been friendly and welcoming, happy to give what seem like genuine opinions on the outfits I choose and in return, I usually pick something temporarily wardrobe and life changing for about £50. It's around the same price as Topshop but with the added bonus of knowing you probably won't walk into a party wearing the same dress as everybody else.
