AntiCafe, especially in contrast to most Italian cafes, sets out to do something different, to appeal to students and casual coffee drinker alike. If you simply want a place to step in out of the weather, you can pay for a coffee normally and drink it at the bar or tables inside at the front. Yet, if, like me and many other students, you are looking for a place to work for hours, you have come to the right place. AntiCafe allows you to pay for time spent at the cafe, offering a quiet workspace, coffee, and light snacks, as many as you wish to have. The WIFI functions properly and you can focus on what needs to be done, instead of whether or not the place will throw you out if you overstay your welcome. You simply take a ticket at the front as you walk in, take a seat at any of the tables behind the counter, and pay when you leave. Make sure to show your student ID too, as there is a discount offered for students. Otherwise, if you don't need to study, there are board games available to play with friends. Try this place out! read more
AntiCafé is a lovely establishment that saved my butt (more on that later), so I'm obviously biased, but here are some other reasons why AntiCafé is a great spot! AntiCafé is workspace/internet cafe that offers you unlimited refreshments, snacks, and WiFI in a comfortable atmosphere for working or relaxing. You pay per hour, with their no-stress system of paying when you leave, as opposed to a fixed set of time upfront when you first enter. Printer services are also offered at the cafe for 10 cents per color page. AntiCafé has really accessible hours (9/10am to 10pm) and is exceptionally easy to find (2 minute walk from San Giovanni Stazione on the A/red metro line, 3 stops away from Termini Stazione). The prices are extremely cheap and reasonable, and clearly laid out on their website (4€ first hour/3€ for next hour/14€ for the day; + several subscription options). There is also a student discount! The cafe itself is well lit, modern, cozy, and clean. If I wasn't in such a rush at the time I visited, I wouldn't loved to take a little break from the hustle and bustle of the city here. There is a variety of set-ups available within the cafe, from larger tables for groupwork, couches (with board games!) to lounge, or individual tables for those flying solo. How AntiCafé saved my day: as a first time Ryanair flier, I did not have the foresight to double check that their wild policies of charging for check-in/boarding pass printing at the airport. I knew that I could circumvent these charges by checking in online/via the App, and showing my electronic boarding pass at the airport. I did not double check that FCO (Fiumicino Airport) does not accept electronic boarding passes. In a mad dash to print out my boarding passes before my flight the next day, I found AntiCafé and made it in roughly 40 minutes before closing. The staff was wonderfully patient with the non-Italian-speaking me, and informed me that for the printing services I did not have to pay for my time (just for each page instead!). For their printing services, you must email your documents to the staff and they will print out your documents for you. As I flubbed around with my phone, suddenly forgetting how to technology in my frazzled state, the staff calmly helped me navigate the mobile website and get everything printed out for me accordingly. It was a refreshing experience compared to some other less pleasantly patient service experiences I've had in Italy. Really memorable for me, personally. All in all, a really neat spot with everything you could ever want from a workspace cafe! read more

Excellent go to place when you don't have anything on your itinerary and just want a place to relax, nap, sip coffee, use wifi, or do nothing whilst a/c keeps you cool. Our flight was departing at night and our check out time was at 11am so we needed a place to crash before taking Leonardo Express Train to the airport. AntiCafe served us well! $4 for the first hour, $3 every 15 mins after the second hour I believe and then $14 for whole day after 3hrs. Here are the perks you get: unlimited drinks (coffee, latte, mocha, juice, etc), and it's not instant coffee either, I'm talking about coffee bar style kind of coffee! If that's not awesome enough, you get unlimited snacks, lemon cake, variety of cereals, cookies galore, and etc.. free wifi and couch to relax as you munch and sip your coffee. Would definitely come here again! read more

My husband and I were thrilled to find this little piece of Rome! We needed to grab some breakfast and print our boarding passes. We snacked on fruit, cereal, and pastries, checked our emails, drank some cappuccinos, and got our boarding passes for under 8 euro, after our student discount. It was so pleasant and hospitable, we wished we had more time to spend enjoying the atmosphere. I love that they have books and board games available, too! The man staffing the front desk was so friendly and helpful, I wish I knew his name to especially commend him. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Italy! If you love unique coffee shops, make sure to stop here! read more

So rude. I can't count how many times or different places I've worked and enjoyed a coffee for hours on end, all over the world, without ever experiencing something a stupid as I did here. In order to walk through the front door I had to ask two smoking hipsters if they could please move. They were clearly too cool to move on their own. So once inside I waited and looked around at the front, waiting, and waiting, and finally asking someone, a random person, how this place works, how to log my time etc., the person actually worked here, and was so indifferent, it was absurd. I asked him how it all worked and he told me to read some dumb card on the table (no card on my table) he did hand me a couple of plastic key card thingys, so I took them and found a table (no stupid card). I then asked the same neat guy if I could have a cappuccino, he could barely manage a nod, but as long as I got my coffee, I didn't care. I never did receive the coffee, as this uber hipster dweeb was too busy talking to his buddy to manage the task. This was by far the dopiest waste of money and the most embarrassing opportunity to display one's uber hipsterism that I've ever experienced. They'll most definitely write some obnoxious response to this review, but unless you enjoy posers, I recommend you ignore their response and trust my review. read more

I discovered AntiCafé few days ago and now I love it! You can work, study, entertain yourself, read books, meet friends, play board games they have or even have a meeting! It's the perfect place to work in Rome! The atmosphere is relaxed, just like home; there are sofas with blankets, hot drinks and an unlimited self-serve buffet There are also plugs for your laptops everywhere! They provide you with free WiFi, a printer, a projector and other stuff in order to make your work easier and pleasant. You don't pay what you consume but the time you spend there (4€ for the first hour, 3€ for every hour after that). There are homemade cold drinks like lemonade, you can ask for coffees and hot chocolates or help yourself to tea. I have my English Tea and I could't ask for more! The staff are very friendly and they help you with anything you need! read more
