The Art Gallery Marletta is in the perfect meeting point between art and antiques, that is, between the Pitti Palace, the former residence of the Grand Duke and the King of Italy, and today a treasure chest of seven museums, and Via Maggio, a historic street of Florence chosen as a showcase for the most prestigious antiques from the nineteenth century through today.
The Gallery is located in the historic palace of Ridolfi Guidi, who hosted the illustrious pair of poets Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Robert Browning; English writers were among the first foreigners to settle in the city. Today, the palace hosts Casa Guidi a museum which recalls their life and works.
La Galleria d'Arte di cui Alessandro Marletta è titolare si trova nel perfetto punto di incontro tra arte e alto antiquariato, e cioè tra Palazzo Pitti, la residenza dei granduchi e del Re d'Italia oggi scrigno prezioso di ben 7 musei, e Via Maggio, strada storica di Firenze scelta come vetrina dai più prestigiosi antiquari dall'Ottocento fino ad oggi.
La sede della Galleria d'Arte è situata in un palazzo storico, il celebre palazzo Ridolfi Guidi che nell'Ottocento ospitò l'illustre coppia di poeti Elizabeth Barrett Browning e Robert Browning; i letterati inglesi furono tra i primi stranieri a stabilirsi in città e ad amarla, ora la casa museo del palazzo ne ricorda la vita e le opere.

The Gallery was founded in 1958 by Pino Marletta, an art and antique dealer and restorer whose passion and curiosity continues through his son Alexander. The search for quality and uniqueness of the works is the main goal of Alexander, the results of which are honored by national and international institutions that acquire works from the Gallery.
La Galleria è stata fondata nel 1958 grazie alla passione per l'arte del restauratore-antiquario Pino Marletta, che ha iniziato con l'aiuto del figlio Alessandro a restaurare e riportare all'antico splendore le vestigia della sede della Galleria, che oggi si presenta come splendida e antica cornice, carica di storia, luogo perfetto e spazioso per ospitare importanti opere d'arte.
