Area 51 - Three out of 5 packs opened themselves when lifting the flap! Resealed.

I am truly sorry to have to do this because I was really hopeful for a decent store to buy pokemon…read morecards from. I bought 5 astral radiance boosters from this shop today - I noticed over 36 on display which should have been a red flag, because who opens more than a full booster box at a time to display, right? Then I ran my thumbnail across the top ridge of a pack, absolutely fine. Running my thumbnail across the bottom of a pack, I noticed the ridges are almost non-existent. They've been reheated and opened, checked for contents and put back. My wife also bought 5 and has a similar experience - in fact, one of the packs was already partially opened and all of them were FAR too easy to open. Our suspicious confirmed by purchasing a full astral radiance booster box and comparing. Note in the shop, they are also opening Build & Battle stadium deck boxes, obviously to find the decent promos/Gengar to resell online and flogging the crap off to unsuspecting parents looking to find something good for their kids. Sorry to say this is a business no collector should take seriously - because whatever you buy here the odds are stacked heavily out of your favour. P.S. I just lifted the flap on all of the packs and you can see from the picture what I have found. Anyone that has opened a fair few of these expansions knows in the later sets, they are more likely to be like fort knox to get into than fall apart in your hand! EDIT: After re-checking, three of the packs are open as in this photo. Can you really call this good business?

Do not buy Pokémon cards from here !!!!!…read more They are 100% resealed !! I went there the other day and got a few packs of cards. Went home and noticed something was off. The bumps on the package were flat and not bumpy, the rapping was loose and one was actually open. They said some things that were worrying they said they open the Build and battle boxes and are re sealing the and selling the cards, so they are probably getting the good cards and selling them on. I will not be going here again and I suggest of you do you check the card packs before you purchase.

Oh, Games Workshop…read more This shop is a gaming and hobby shop for all those people obsessed with fantasy and role playing, in all its guises. You can makes your own figures, paint them and create scenery. You can buy books on how to do just this, or just a good old plain fantasy book. But this shop is also so very much more. In the centre of the floor are tables where epic battles are fought and lost/won, where heroic deeds go on a few metre from the pavement. Oh, Games Workshop. How you suck in the lives of teenagers (and, admittedly, lots of adults too) and chew them up. Hours of role playing later, the little tykes will stagger out into the harsh sunlight and feel a staggering loss at there being no orcs or wizards on the high street. This is a shop and social club for all those people with a sense of miniature adventure.

Games Workshop offers a wide selection of figurines, accessories, and books for games of all sorts, including Warhammer, Lord of the Rings, and other specialist games. The range of stock here is impressive, and I'm sure if you're a gaming enthusiast, you'll be able to find what you're looking for.

I appreciate this place will only hold a small interest to the majority of people in Cardiff, but if you're a child of the 80s and resolutely deny the call to grow up that society places upon you, then this place is freaking ace-a-tron. So many memories are contained with its four dark walls. WWF figures, those tiny models of footballers with massive heads that rarely looked like the actual person, Simpson Figurines, Atari stuff, a Super Nintendo in the original Street Fighter II box that I received for Christmas when I was 9. There's a small section of girls toys, but really 80s Toy Shop is all about the boys. It's a tad pricey, but then this places saves you the time and effort of trawling eBay or trudging around boot sales. 80s Toy Shop is a must for any manboy between the ages of 21-40.

Many of the products are boxed and in excellent condition, and when there is something incomplete the staff will point it out to you. Some of September's new products include a Mego Spiderman 12" play figure for the boys out there, or an Anastasia 'Fantasy in Paris' for the girls - then there's a Nintendo Nes Console for any retro gaming geeks, complete with controller and power supply! Although they run an online shop as well as their store in Canton, it's better to drop into the shop if you can because their online shop doesn't always show all of the latest stock (although they do update it regularly).
