-1 for service -1 for food = 2.5 stars if i could give half came to antigua and was met with pretty curt and mean service. the girl was moving pretty fast, made us feel kinda stupid as we were looking for a cheese bagel, and seemed like she wanted us out of there.... she rushed us to continue she conversation with the other workers... maybe some drama?? got 2 breakfast bagels with avocado and sausage and 2 coffees for $35. Bagels did not have any meat!! both of them! and our avocado is like 1 slice on a half. Was I just scammed out of $5 because each of those cost extra!! so got a veggie bagel for extra and did not hit my breakfast spot. coffee is mediocre for a $7 latte. asked for oat milk and got regular milk.... which also cost extra. The bagels were good but they don't display the bagel options. When I tried to ask them what options there where, she looked at me annoyed and like i was stupid. I bet the food/drink could have been great if they stopped gossiping and got our order correct ‍ they didn't want us to tip and didn't give us a receipt! the ambiance was cute. Looking at reviews, seems like quality really changes with who is serving you. won't be coming back bc they messed up our order and just felt like we were not welcomed.

Strolling down Taraval on a crisp Sunday morning, I noticed Antigua out of the corner of my eye. I had a good experience at their sister operation on Grand Avenue in South San Francisco a while back (review: https://bit.ly/40VVnKw) and thought I could pick up some caffeine here for my walk to the beach. What struck me about both locations is how low profile they are with no evidence of the self-aggrandizing approach other businesses might take to push their products. The downside though is that I keep forgetting they actually make food including a variety of breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and bagels. Looking dark and rather empty through the front window, the shop only had a little sandwich board just mentioning their food, and hey, had I known... But regardless, I was fine with their $4.50 Matcha Tea Latte, a satisfying elixir that hit my gullet with warm delight (photo: https://bit.ly/40RFLI0). I just think they could do a little more marketing. COFFEE - 4 stars...a well above average matcha latte AMBIANCE - 3 stars...clean but kinda dark and no one behind the counter when I first entered SERVICE - 3.5 stars...quietly efficient TOTAL - 4 stars...show off a little more, Antigua RELATED - Exploring the Sunset? WE LOVE IT! Attention and service were so good, Santiago helped us with lot of joy! He provided us with so many options of drinks. Food was really great, we ordered the club sandwich on a bagel and the taste was completely amazing!!!! For drinks we had iced chai latte, an iced coffee and fresh fruit smoothies and they were DELICIOUS!!!! We really enjoyed the time in the city and specially at this coffee shop!! I recommend it!!!

Small coffee shop in the inner sunset area. Pretty quick service. Got a speciality latte which was pretty good.

Its been a while, but one of the things I like to order from here is their breakfast burritos. This time, however, I just picked up a morning caffeine fix - Hazelnut latte (large = $5.16 including tax). Service is usually friendly and the coffee is good.

I came here Sunday morning to grab something to eat and sit for a bit. There isn't much seating space, but most people were taking their foods & drinks to go so I easily got a nice spot right in front of the window. It's a nice place to sit and read or people watch. Fried egg sandwich - this was so good!! It made me think of an In N Out burger, but with an egg so it's okay for breakfast. Matcha latte - I usually have either non sweetened or very lightly sweetened matcha, so in comparison this was way too sweet for me. depends on personal preference. There was only one person working, he was friendly and efficient. Overall a nice place to stop by for an easy breakfast if you're in the area!

Enjoyed all their authentic sandwiches and other items they serve. Good choices of rice dishes,…read morenoodles, spring rolls. They have all the choices of sandwiches made from what you would expect: Bbq pork, chicken, pate, sardines, tofu...call ahead and pick it up. Fast, friendly, conveniently close to the L Taraval bus line and SF Library. Affordable and very tasty. Sorry no photos but food is solid!

Good ratio of meat to veggie and there's options to add extra veggie/meat if you'd like at a cost. I will say the portion size runs slightly smaller but it was perfect for me! Meat was very tender #20 bbq pork with egg roll: huge portions, though a good amount of it was noodle, tender and flavorful meat. The highlight is definitely the fried egg roll! I'm usually not a fan of egg rolls because I don't love things that're super fried but somehow the egg rolls were perfectly fried without being too overwhelming, and the stuffing had some nice spice flavor. Paired well with meat and noodles! Coffee: I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I had a few sips of their Vietnamese coffee and it was yummy! Not too sweet, not too strong. Service: extremely efficient especially with everything made to order. Our banh mi was out in less than three minutes! #20 took a bit longer but that's because they make everything to order. Still less than 10 minutes for it to cook. Seems to be a small mom and pop shop. Person taking our order Joseph was super sweet! Offered for us to call and order next time to go and didn't rush for us to pay at all. Keep in mind it's cash preferred but they have Venmo and zelle too. No credit cards accepted here. Ambiance: more of a grab and go place. They did have one table and a few chairs and we sat down to eat but I'd recommend getting to go and going out for a picnic. Price: good price point! Our food was $28 total. Will absolutely be back!

I've been here twice. First time I got a leg of lamb and more recently some double cut pork chops…read more I'm sure they are helpful if you ask questions but they were pretty busy both times I came in and it felt like you needed to know what you wanted for the most part. For the leg of lamb, I think most people get a whole leg of lamb. That was way too much for me and I think the butcher thought I was confused when I asked for less and asked me what I was doing with it. He ended up saying he could give me a half leg of lamb and I agreed. Thar was about 3 and a half pounds (bone included) which was the perfect amount. I seared it and then braised it and the meat fell off the bone. Delicious and the price was pretty good. I was cooking my first pork chop and decided to come here to get it. Their pork isn't labeled as Berkshire or Duroc or anything but that probably keeps the price down. For chops, they had boneless, bone in, and double cut (which was also bone in). I mentioned I wanted it to be about 2 inches thick and the butcher said to get the double cut.I got 2 beautiful thick pork chops for $6.99 a pound so about $18 total. The regular cut bone in pork chops were the same price though obviously smaller. I brined this overnight and reverse seared it and it was great. The chop was a loin chop- loin and then a tenderloin nugget- not a pure rib chop. Cooked really nicely and was tender which I think was partially the overnight brine and also their pork. They do sell some vegetables and grocery supplies if you want to just make a single stop. They also have a deli with some sandwiches that looked good and prepared foods. I was very focused on buying the things I came in for and getting on with my day both times but I would like to take a closer look in the future as it looked good. Solid butcher shop and clearly loved since it was busy both on a weekend and during the week. I'm sure I will be back.

This is probably the only place where the sandwiches don't taste like the store's essence…read more I mean, don't get me wrong, a store's essence from any given deli/liquor store definitely adds unique character to the sandwich and sometimes I want that in a sandwich. But when you want a sandwich that only tastes like its ingredients, Irving Subs is the spot. Their Dutch crunch is famous for being fresh and actually crunchy. Their lettuce is shredded but fresh and crispy. The salt content is just enough to bring out the flavors. And the overall composition of their sandwiches are very well proportioned. You're not getting skimped, but you're also not biting into a mouthful of a packet of deli meat. They definitely know what they are doing. Service is good and ambiance is a small humble shop on the corner of 12th Ave.

Ordered the Nearly Reuben on sliced sourdough, toasted, with house garlicky mayo and brown mustard…read moreon DoorDash. Double pastrami, horseradish, havarti, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, and pepperoncini. A lot going on, and it all came together. The horseradish and havarti gave it enough personality to stand apart from a standard pastrami sandwich, and the garlicky mayo tied everything together. The one casualty of DoorDash was sogginess by the time it arrived. That's not a knock on the sandwich, it's just the reality of ordering something like this for delivery. At $14.50 it's a hearty sandwich at a fair price. I'd recommend it, but eat in.
