I love the feel, smell, sight, everything about them. I love the weight of them in my hands, the sound of the pages turning, the places they take me, the people I meet within their pages, and the sadness I feel when the story is finished. While most books stores in Prague has a small selection of books, this is the place to go when I feel the need to really browse, pick up something other than the latest best seller in America or England, or a book by a Czech author that isn't Kundra or Kafka. The selection isn't as vast or as plentiful as even a lot of the independent bookstores in other places (The English Bookshop in Stockholm I am looking at you) it is still nice to have it around.

Neoluxor sells all sorts of books--novels, non-fiction, technical books, children's, you name it--and in a variety of languages as well. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, ready to help. They have a great selection of school books and study books as well here, as well as a rich variety of books in Czech language, guide books, cook books, wine books, Art books, books on Prague, Moleskine notebooks, children books ... This place is the best quality bookstore next to the neoluxor. It is diagnal from the large one on wenclas square and on the corner so easy to spot. Inside there are multiple czech sections, an english section, travel section, map section, notebook section, kids section and surprisingly a lot more. This place looks small from the outside but can hold a lot inside! The staff here is pretty average, if you need help though they barely speak english so best to know some czech/how to say what you want in czech for their help.

My…read morehusband and I went for brunch and walked in to the bookstore, greeted by shelves and walls full of books. Further back is the bar and café. We sat outside on the patio and a waiter quickly took our drink order. They have really fresh mimosa's and their lattes were tasty too. I ordered the eggs benedict and a waffle. Both were cooked to perfection, I was stuffed and needed to walk it all off after eating. So glad we found this place as we absolutely enjoy brunch and they didn't miss here!
