    Awesome Food!
    Jennifer L.

The food was absolutely delicious! And I've tried quite a few Mexican restaurants in the area, but this one by far was the best experience. Service was awesome as well. I'm so glad we went there!

Sub standard tacos... Sub standard service and the tacos definitely lacked flavor and spice. Still on the hunt for traditional tacos that I am used to in LA. So let it be written... So let it be EATEN!!

We got the combo plate and each item was flavorful. Try the Al pastor! Best horchata we ever had. My daughter loved the tamales, too full for flan.... We'll try it next time.

    "Breakfast sausage" burrito...

I've had tacos from here before that were fine, but this morning my usual taco truck was closed so I decided to try a breakfast burrito from here... biggest mistake I think I have ever made. Literally ever. There were basically mashed potato's in my burrito, which I could probably get past, but I ordered a breakfast sausage burrito and there are literally hotdogs in it! I live a few blocks from this place and I'm so bummed I honestly will never go back. I'd rather drive to Mexico for a burrito then eat at this place. Day ruined.

BEEF nachoes and carne asada tacos and Lengua tacos.

This is by far one of the best hole in the walls that I've been to. The food portions are huge! There is a sassy Latina girl who works at the counter who has a very laid back attitude, the atmosphere is dim lit with wrestling on the tv and random stools to sit on. The menu is plastered on the right wall with worn pictures of the food items. If you come here at night you might question what you are doing in this neighborhood but the food IS worth it. They serve some pretty damn good Lengua tacos here. And they load them up! The beef nachoes are amazing, no no not your typical American bar food cheddar; they use Mexican cheese which even after cooling down still stretches and is just omg. The chef of this place feeds you like he feeds his kids. He didn't speak much English but was very nice. The homemade sauces here are dank! I tried not to take too many. For less than 16$ we got 6 tacos and nachoes. Run down: get tacos, get nachoes.

    Disappointing pollo asada.

Pollo asado. $12.99. Absolutely not worth it. Their other food has been decent. But this was some of the worst "chicken" I've ever had. Thinner & tougher than shoe leather. Super disappointing. Their pollo chimichanga for $7.99 was terrific. And my son liked his torta.

The best taco salad hands down that I have ever had . I recommend this place if you want some amazing Mexican food .

Burrito plate (carnitas) & Taco plate (pastor)

I've been reluctant to try any mexican food up here since moving from Texas. But thank GOODNESS we stopped by. It's a small, but quaint & cozy, hole in the wall taqueria with pastor & carnitas so delicious, you'll hear canción ranchera. Even the salsa was off the chain! Prices are perfect, service was so fast & friendly, & you know I always love that small-business taqueria vibe. Wash it down with a cold Jarritos, & you'll forget you're in the PNW. I'm elated to have a new Mexican food hookup at Antojitos!

It is the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable settling into. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, and the service was genuinely great throughout. We ordered the Quekas with vegan chorizo and black beans and they were SO good, honestly a standout. The chips and guac were also a hit, and I loved that the guac was actually cold. Such a small detail that makes a big difference. The Citrus Salad was super fresh, crisp, and delicious, which balanced everything out perfectly. I also tried the NA classic margarita and it was so refreshing. I loved the subtle touch of orange juice. Overall, such a lovely spot with amazing food, great vibes, and thoughtful details. Today my wife and I enjoyed scrumptious Tacotes, one chicken and one Bok Choy with house made salsa. Also, the Tetela de Requeson, maiz, beans and sprouting broccoli with a house made requeson - kind of like ricotta cheese - very beautifully plated and so delicious. Extra side of yummy and creamy black bean frijoles with sour cream, butter, tortillas. Instead of desert, the Mezcal, chile and lime was refreshing. Right now open for lunch Thursday through Sunday 10-3pm. No fixed menu, changes with what's fresh - the way chef Angel loves to cook respecting what is in season. Service and ambiance is friendly and knowledgeable about the food and its origin - another reason I love dining here so I learn about what I'm eating and how it was inspired. Yes, the food plated looks so good, I am inspired to dig in. There's a reason it was recognized early in its start by Eater, Portland Monthly and the Oregonian as one of the best restaurants in the city because foodies seek out and love to go where the food experience is special - especially the chef tasting menus in the past. Now I'm watchful and ready to go back and see what the chef Angel is serving up. What else is so special is Republica was a James Beard award nominee too!

The person at the counter taking our order was helpful, efficient, and their enthusiasm carried over into the dining portion of the visit. My rule of thumb is that if a place has Cochinita Pibil on the menu, then they can be counted on to do things right. My CP taco had just the right amount of spice to leave me with a pleasant, warm feeling inside, about a half hour after we left. The horchata was cool and soothing, even though it had a wonderful, over-the-top cinnamon flavor. Having tables with permanently assigned numbers, and having your table assigned at the time you place your order makes for a spectacularly efficient way of getting you settled, and getting your food to the table in short order. Their artwork adds to the joyous ambiance - photo tributes to entertainers makes it fun.

The food here is incredible. The calabazitas are amazing (sautéed zucchini, onions, corn, tomatoes,…read morepoblanos) as is the carnitas. The beans are very well seasoned and delicious. Chips come out fresh and warm. I was very impressed. The place is busy and packed, and the inside is pretty warm. We were luckily able to sit outside which was cooler than inside, even on a warm day. My little gripes are that you can't order a side of any of the proteins on its own, and you can't add a different kind of protein to a bowl, even though they have an option to add protein. The cost adds up pretty quickly - it was about $50 for two of us, for two bowls, two drinks, a taco, and chips, and we didn't really have leftovers. I actually think they charged us incorrectly (I asked to add chips to my bowl and they put it in as a side of chips instead). Overall, the food is delicious and I'm looking forward to going again!

By the time we left around 6 PM, the dinner rush had started and a line was forming at the door. The interior is well decorated, modern, and clean. The server was friendly and service was fast. We ordered the bowl, one with carnitas and other with avocado. Both were very tasty! You can tell that the ingredients were fresh, the carnitas were tender and well seasoned. They also had a mango hot sauce brought to the table in a bottle that is amazing. I drenched my bowl with the sauce for the extra kick and flavor. The bowls are very filling. We ended up boxing up half of our food to bring home and finish for a late dinner. Would definitely come again and try their hot sandwiches. Will have to look into whether they sell their mango hot sauce separately as well. I'd buy a bottle!
