I like how cute this place is and I enjoyed going there. There were a few things that were disappointing. I went at 1:30 on a Friday and most of their breads and desserts were out. The only real option was the key lime tart, but I love key lime so I figured that would be okay even though I had really wanted a cannoli. The problem was the custard was great but the crust was too soft. I like having a flaky crust and it was just mushy. This is an adorable cafe, and they make all the breads in house, and you can tell the difference. I ordered the Hawaiian burger. It was divine; the onions were freshly caramelized and hot. The pineapple was caramelized and hot and the patty was juicy. And they load it with spring mix greens! I absolutely loved it, totally looking forward to coming again. This guys works so stinking hard! His artisan breads are best in the valley. So good that top restaurants around get their daily bread from him. His coffee selection is top notch. Very enjoyable. I stopped by with a friend and wasn't disappointed. I even bought some of the bread they sell to try and recreate the burger I ate for my family. Try is the key word here. I love the California Burger! The only down side is that they don't offer fries with the burger, just potato chips. My only suggestion would be to offer an alternate side other than potato chips. I really want to like this place, because it isn't like the overrated sandwich places/bakeries you see in Utah, where every mediocre sandwich comes slathered in mayo or a "secret sauce" (secret ingredient - mayo) and filled with mediocre ingredients. We stopped by last night on a whim and got their prosciutto panini. My kids got the kids' meal - turkey and cheese sandwich, juice box, cookie, and chips. We also picked up a few desserts to take home and sample. First of all, we ordered two prosciutto paninis and they only gave us one, so we had to wait for them to make another. It was delicious, even after sitting in the styrofoam box on the drive home and made me homesick for the east coast. Dessert: Ok-ok. The Tres Leche cake was ok, not the best we've had, didn't want more than one bite. Cappuccino cannoli - Ok, we could only take one bite. Wedding cookies - very good! We decided to get breakfast from there this morning (the paninis were that good!). My husband stopped there after dropping off my son at school and ordered the following: 1.Bacon, avocado, egg, and cheese sandwich 2. Ham and cheese croissant (for my daughter) 3. A prosciutto panini (yes, I wanted that again) 4. A cinnamon roll 5. A cappuccino What we actually got: 1. Bacon, avocado, egg, and cheese sandwich with ONE little slice of bacon and three thin slices of avocado on a sandwich that's about 8x6 inches. TOO MUCH black pepper. LOADS of spring mix. Not really a good thing. 2. Turkey and cheese croissant with loads of spring mix 3. No prosciutto panini, they let him know 15 minutes after ordering that they were out of prosciutto. 4. Two cannolis 5. Hot chocolate All of this took 40 minutes to make and my husband was late for his appointment with a student. My husband is never going back, ever again. I'm sad about the prosciutto panini, since this is the first time I've had something this good in Utah. At least I can make some at home. read more

My husband and I lament the lack of good cafes (and pubs- that's a different story) in Orem and when he found Antonella's I was kinda skeptical. Upon visiting, I was super impressed. Our sandwiches (chicken pesto and prosciutto panini) were perfect, the cappuccino was fresh, and the cake that we ordered to go- delicious! This place was sooo good! I one day noticed this little place as I was driving down state street and I decided to try it. Literally if you blink you could miss it. But I am so glad I stopped in. The soup was so yummy and the bread bowl that the soup came in was crusty on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Just like it should be. I live down the street and always saw the store so I decided to go inside and I'm glad I did. I ordered a Pugliese loaf and a cannolo and both were very good. The bread made me miss the years I lived in Italy but it was exactly like the quality found there. It was even still warm and fresh when I cut it at home! I will definitely be back for more. I went here for my birthday last week for lunch. It's a quaint little shop that you could miss if you weren't looking for it. Inside it's filled with delicious smells and a pleasing atmosphere. We were greeted with a warm smile by the owner, I believe. I ordered the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich. It came on artisan bread with red onions, tomatoes, and lettuce and other deliciousness. Wow!!! The beef sirloin burger was amazing. The wait was a little long but that's probably because they had to heat up the grill. There was no one there. Once the secret gets out, and I hope it does enough to keep this place in business, the grill will be nice and hot and the line will be out the door. Best cafe/bakery I have found in Utah Valley. It is a little ma and pop shop just off State and Center in Orem. They have the best bread for their sandwiches and burgers - which are amazing, go with the Hawaiian burger. They do load you up with onions and mayo, go lite if you aren't a big fan. Really great! You're missing out if you don't give this place a shot. Locally owned and operated, you can tell they take a lot of pride in their work. The atmosphere is intimate and relaxing, despite being off one of the busiest roads in Orem. The coffee is fantastic, really. Wow! If you like anything made fresh and with bread dough this is the place to go. I had the lemon chicken pizza and my husband had the Hawaiian burger. DELICIOUS!!! I also got 2 chocolate chip cookies for 2$ which I thought was a deal. It threw me a little at first because the cookies are made in the Italian style which is a little more crisp than a chewy American style chocolate chip cookie. If not for Yelp reviews I wouldn't have thought this would be a great place to eat. The decor is somewhat confusing but who cares when the food is great and the owner is so nice. I talked with the owner and he told me his father and grandfather were Italian . Lots of variety to the menu . Trust me you'll love it. read more
