Best place to eat in Red Lake, and it's not that it's one of the only restaurants. They offer a one-of-a-kind style dining. The pizza is very much incredible and underpriced for what it's worth. The staff are friendly and offer many varieties. But it's more of a place to sit-down and sit-down only if it's not take-out. We have been here many times, but we went this night for a date night. I ordered the special which was a Tuna Steak first time I've seen it on the menu and it was cooked medium rare which was nice to see. My wife got the chicken ancieto which she gets a lot of the time. The garlic knots were good like they always are. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert which is unfortunate m because it has some of the best baking in town. We always enjoy the food here, the only thing that is a con here is the prices are high. But if you really want a special night out for dinner you really can't beat Antonio's. read more

I do agree that this is indeed the best place to eat in Red Lake however it is essentially the only place to eat in Red Lake. On my recent stint in Red Lake I ate at Antonio's twice. First. Take out Pizza & Salad. The pizza was in fact pretty good. I appreciated the use of quality ingredients however the requested 'Extra Sauce' appeared to be ignored. The sauce is excellent. The Greek salad was good and I like that all the dressings are made in house but it lacked character. Second. Eat-in Rib Dinner. Again the starter Caeser Salad was just ok and the dressing was bland. The Blueberry Chipotle ribs were delicious and extremely tender. Unfortunately it was hard to believe that there was any chipotle in the sauce at all. The garlic mushroom rice packed great flavour and the roasted peppers were a nice change from a typical veggie side. The homemade buns were perfectly soft and had a very tasty seasoning. For a Northern Ontario town, Antonio's would be "the restaurant" to go too, but not in a big urban area like Thunder Bay or Sudbury. I was in Red Lake for the week for work, and I decided to check out Antonio's for lunch. I ordered a "large poutine" for $7.50 (plus tax) and I got back what looked like a small sized McDonald's fries with shredded cheese and a light gravy put on top of it. I ended up paying $10.75 for a "large" poutine and a 500mL bottle of Nestlé Water. For that amount of money and what I got for it, it was not worth it. Customers shouldn't have to be paying more then what they're consuming. I could've gone down the street to Spud & Dog and ordered the same thing I got in Antonio's but with more portions and a little cheaper. Overall, I had a poor experience but the staff really tried, so for that, I give them a 2. read more

What used to be a "walk up," lunch only favourite for those who enjoy big sandwiches and a slice, now newly renovated sit down retaurant serving authentic Italian food. So I've been coming here off and on for years food is always good but recently I had an experience directly involving the owner and her super unprofessional conduct. I guess Lynn Aniceto The owner has never heard of the customer is always right. About a week ago I was in for dinner I paid my bill and didn't think twice. A day or two later I found out that the meal I paid for was double than it should have been. I phoned immediately to inquire what had happened. They told me to come in on Monday when she could get the reciepts​ for that day. She had forgot to do that at that point I showed her what I payed and what it was supposed to be. After a bit of difficulty almost like she was implying I was lying she finally gave me the 40 dollars the amount I had been overcharged. Then I get a call a few days later. I was busy and never returned the call. But I had found out what had gone on because of the other people I had dinner had told me that she had contacted them. So it turns out that by accident I had typed in 40 dollars instead of 4 for a tip. I guess she expected me to honor the 40 bucks as a tip which is nuts. Which I didn't fully find out till tonight. Who gives a tip more than their bill. So fast forward to tonight. I go in with some friends and the waitress says the owner wants to talk to me but she can't come out right now. So at the end of the meal but not after we pay she comes out to our table waiving a photo copy of what had happened she basically says this is what happened and that she wants the forty dollars back because she had paid out the tip to her employee. I was completely floored and getting very upset at this time. I could not believe the audacity of this woman. I continued to tell her how unprofessional this is and how it's pretty unprofessional for your staff not to notice that, that was obviously a mistake. She said well we've had people tip more than their meal. I was like highly unlikely and that's not something I would do. She kept pressing the issue that I was in the wrong finally I got up and made sure that everyone heard that I was unsatisfied on how she was handling this and that our problem was over forty dollars. I was so angry I pulled my wallet out slammed 40 dollars on the table and loudly stated here is your forty dollars and that I would tell everyone I know about this situation and that I would never step foot in that restaurant ever again. I meant what I said I will never step foot in this restaurant again. So go to this restaurant at your own risk. read more
