They can charge anything they want but don't advertise $1.99 any garment. I had used this place in the past to "freshen up" clothes. They were never good as a cleaner. I've come to this place maybe 5 times, this is the second time I've ended up with someone else's clothing which I then have to return. First time it was about 10 days later I was called they located the missing pair of pants...$160 pair of pants...not the end of the world if they weren't recovered...but a nuisance. First off, this place is filthy when you walk in. That should tell you something. Garbage cans and crap all over the floor... they can't even vacuum the place. Second, the price is certainly appealing, but I'm not sure they even truly clean all your clothes. It is very hit or miss. Sometimes I walk out thinking I got a great deal and other times my clothes are returned on a hanger just as wrinkled as I brought them there. Third, they have actually ruined at least two of my shirts. While I kept going back for a while because I thought the great price outweighed the cons, I now realize I was very wrong. I am outside at 7:03 and there are 10 employees inside. They won't open the door to let me pickup my dry cleaning. This place is awful. The staff is rude. I asked them about their sign that is on the building, which states "dirty by 9, clean by 4", yet they require 2 days to return your clothes. My husband used this place to dry clean two shirts and press two suits. He told me he had to pay cash upfront, and I was immediately suspicious. He was told to return two days later to pick up his items. When he did, the items were not ready. "Come back after 4." He did just that, and again the items were not ready. He went back two more times before his items were finally ready, and last night when he took the shirt out for a wedding, there was a huge new yellow stain on the front of the completely wrinkled shirt. There is also a stain on his brand new custom suit that he took there never before worn. I've never seen such terrible service and now understand why they force you to pay cash ahead of time. I brought my wife's white dress there with a bunch of other clothes in October. When I went to pick up the clothes everything was fine except the white dress, which was now covered in a big yellow stain. They told me to leave it there and they'll work on it to remove the stain. I go back 2 weeks later and they couldn't remove the stain. According to the ticket they are only liable for 10 times the cost of cleaning which comes out to $19.99. They wouldn't give it to me and said they'll try again. I call them in December to ask if the dress is done. They say yes so I go to pick it up. Most of the yellow stain is gone but there are now other black stains on it and there's a tag that says it was inspected and nothing else could be done without ruining the fabric. So I ask them to just give me the 19.99 for the dress. The lady goes back to speak to the manager and then comes back and tells me that she remembers the dress coming in with the yellow stain and there's nothing in the store that could have caused it and that there is nothing else she can do. Unbelievable!! It was only when I started raising my voice explaining that I did not bring he dress in that condition and that it was done at their store that another person came out and finally offered me a store credit. I don't understand why they would be willing to lose a customer over 20 bucks and try to blame the customer for their mistake. I had no problems or complaints with them until this incident. BEWARE, scam!! Most cloths that is being dropped off is not being dry cleaned. They are just washing it in an industrial machines. Hence the fact of why it's so cheap. I came in at 6:40, when they close at 7. They require upfront payment and cash only. I asked if I could run to the bank to get cash, but was not certain if I would make it back BY 7. I asked if they will let me in a couple of minutes after 7. "The Boss" (as the other employees call him) was "already pissed off" (as they informed me) and will likely not let me in a minute after 7. I wasn't asking for an extra 10 or 20...just a 5 minute grace period so I can go get cash for one of the very few businesses that is still cash only and requires upfront payment. And if it WAS so hard to give me 5 minutes...have some respect and talk to me like a human being, not like garbage...not asking a lot here. Meanwhile, the lady that "the boss" was working with kindly requested an extra clear, plastic cover for a nice leather jacket (a piece of plastic that probably costs a few pennies), and she was told no. Solomon claimed they are moth bites, while the pants are in the same closet with everything else I own, no moths, not other issues. Worse employees in state of NJ. The employees are arrogant and offensive. They advertise and big sign on door says 7 am to 7 pm but they almost always close the doors early. Today they locked the doors at 6:45 pm and stood right behind the doors ignoring 6 customers. And yes, there manager is there with them.
