They have a car on the lot: 2006 HONDA ACCORD EX that is a DEATH TRAP! I returned it because it burned oil and was dangerous! There was a lawsuit settled by Honda due to this problem. They put it back on the lot next day! I am posting this review as Pt 1 as many people have urged me to warn the public about this specific car I bought and returned. Pt 2 will be a detailed account about my car buying experience. I bought this car 11/21, I left the dealership at night. My friend helped me pay for the car and SPECIFICALLY asked the saleslady if the oil had been changed recently and if it had oil now and all fluids had been topped off, she said "Yes" When I got home, I noticed the expired tags (MAY) & decided to check under the hood. The dipstick showed the car was BONE DRY! That is NOT a condition that happens overnight. Alarmed, I filled it with 4 qts as per manual. The next day, it was again dry within hours of driving less than 10 miles, no leaks(2+ qts) day after, by the 4th day it started smoking and by end of day, stalled COMPLETELY! Car had to be towed to dealership. Upon research I found that Honda settled a lawsuit because 2003-2013 models had this problem. Owner tried to imply it didn't and even tried to say that there was 4 QUARTS OVER! NO! My friend told me she would have the charges reversed(she lent me most of the money for it). I demanded a refund. In the meantime, to my shock, the owner put it back on the lot next day! I have been in a hurry to get a car cuz I work doing deliveries so didn't see that till yesterday and told friends who have insisted I warn people now and not wait for a complete review. This dealership is guilty of every sleazy, cheating, dirty trick used car dealerships are known for. That will be Pt 2 of my review. Very unsatisfied. I came here because it sounded like a great opportunity but since I drove off the lot with this Saab it's been nothing but trouble. Yes they have a 30 day warranty but who wants to keep having to drive back and forth having repair work completed. Since I got it a a week ago it's been nothing but 2-3 trips to the dealership from La Jolla to Oceanside. They never even offered to take care of my fuel because of the inconvenience. They fixed this part and still I'm smelling exhaust and now a security light comes on later that night, I hear a little knocking at the engine. They aren't willing to swap me out with anything just being forced to keep and pay on something I'm just frustrated with having. I feel they jerked me around since day one. Before they fixed a particular part it wasn't starting and I said to them the car isn't starting at times and I don't need this not starting when I go to work. They said bring it in when the part arrives. They could have swapped me out honesty. So again the car wouldn't and I couldn't open for my department and should have been at work 6:30 am but didn't get there until almost an hour later because Lyft and Uber drivers were far out at that time so I finally got the car started. I mentioned it to them and still no apology. It's been nothing but a pain. I just want another car or my money back but neither can happen. I'm no happy with my purchase at all and I dread driving the car. Ask yourself this question viewers. If you got a used car that was crap and only had a 30 day warranty and they fix a few things but still you just aren't happy and you have to smell exhaust and rattling would you want to keep that car? The car has a cracked widow at the bottom I mean come on. I've purchased better used cars in the past that cost lower than what I got from them and it ran like a champ. I waited a long time to write this review because I wanted to see how it all turned out. Now that I know, I can tell the whole story. My girl and I bought a Mitsubishi Lancer from ANYTIME 2BUY AUTO a few months back. It was not my idea, and I was skeptical about used car lots in general, but my girl wanted the car, so we went for it. Imagine my dismay when the car threw a warning light on our way home from the lot! "DAMN IT!!! I KNEW IT!!!" It looked like we could have a MAJOR PROBLEM. I was very upset to say the least, but we contacted ANYTIME 2BUY AUTO and they picked up the car and said they would see what was wrong. I remained skeptical! Even more so when they said they couldn't find the problem! So we went back to pick it up, and BOOM, same thing happened.... At this point, I wanted out of the deal, and I was considering my options, but John (the owner) assured us that the car was fine and that he would get to the bottom of it. I'm sure he could see that I wasn't happy, I wasn't exactly hiding it, but he remained helpful and courteous the whole time. He really bent over backwards to help us out, and the thing is that he really didn't have to do ANYTHING for us! We had already bought the car and driven it away, so he didn't have any obligations to us at that point, but he was just being cool about it. Very cool about it. Finally, we went back to pick it up again and he third time was the charm. It turns out that the problems we were having stemmed from the battery not being tied down properly. Imagine that! We took care of that and we haven't had any problems since. Now we are in the "full warranty" phase, and I'm feeling pretty good about it. If your looking for a car under $10K, this is a recommended place. It was the best used car place we found along Coast Hwy. Owner John and Frank "the Tank" dealt farily and didn't play games when negotiating price. Although they claim to provide out-sourced financing, it sounded like it would delay the transaction and a little hassle with their lenders. Its better to come in with your own financing. Reminder your buying from a dealer on Coast Hwy in Oceanside which caters to a different type of buyer than . . . say new car dealers selling used cars. These are auto auction cars that didn't meet the used/certified standards of new car dealerships. So always have the car checked out by a local mechanic first. One of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. Days after purchasing a car the car just stopped working. All the gages, computer chips where all not working. They fixed it but it took 2 1/2 weeks and gave me a car that had no gas and kept blowing my off and tel me to be patient. Mind you I bought the car and the first month I couldn't drive it, but they were very quick to call me for payment. After getting car back I took it to get oil change and the oil cap was sealed shut with high heat silicon even I know that is not right. So had to replace that as well as the timing belt.
