Was staying in Marquette for the week on a work trip, and tried out the Anytime Fitness in Marquette. Never been to a Anytime Fitness before but this place had everything you'll need! From free weights, cables, machines to cardio there nothing this gym doesn't offer. Highly recommend! read more

I was able to get several great workouts in during vacation, which made the experience even better! I have been going to Anytime Fitness for over three years. The management has changed several times and I believe the current managers and trainers are the best! The machines are well maintained, disinfectant wipes are always available, and the trainers are clearly identifiable with their shorts. The trainers are always willing to help you out with a machine or technique. I enjoy my workouts and the friendly atmosphere. read more

Definitely a scam! My wife and I paid up front for a year, it cost a couple thousand. Then after the year was up, they call to tell us our membership automatically renews, but our cards had expired, so we accumulated late fees, which they would waive if we pay for the last 2 months (which we didn't use). So even after we paid for a full year, they found a way to charge us for 2 extra months. Think twice before getting a membership here. read more

I have been a member of AF for over 2 years. It's a very nice gym with knowledgeable trainers and friendly members. Its a good place to train no matter what your fitness level. I started at AF after finishing chemo treatments in 1/2017. I started at the bottom of the fitness spectrum. Got some help from their trainers and now two years later i am in the best shape of my life and considering doing a bodybuilding show. I'm no spring chicken at 55 years old but I can now compete with the youngsters..lol Additionally I enjoy being able to use other AF locations when I travel. Lastly I would give a big thanks to their manager Cale Anderson who has had my back, been a huge help and given me very valuable training advice. read more

I'll start off by saying the manager, Cale Anderson, is a complete snake as my experience with that facility was less than delightful. Upon signing up, Cale told me I could cancel at anytime. A few months went by and the gym was too busy for me so I decided to try a new one. I asked to cancel my membership and he said he can't cancel "unless I'm moving to a location that doesn't have an Anytime Fitness within 30 miles." After months of being hassled by their staff I finally was forced to have my bank stop letting Anytime withdraw from my account. I also had 'phantom' withdrawals by anytime and when I confronted Cale about it he said it was a mistake... yeah okay. I've had many people tell me that Anytime has 'auto-renewed' their memberships without the customer's approval or even consultation. The personal trainers at the Marquette Anytime appear as if they don't workout and are far less knowledgable than many of the patrons. I was very annoyed with the continuous and tacky sales tactics they used to try to get me to sign up for group training. As if paying over $60 a month for an average at best facility wasn't enough. Not to mention I was in far superior physical shape than the entire training staff making that proposition laughable. Cale has a degree in exercise science but looks like he's never touched a weight in his life, let alone broke a sweat. For being a "fitness professional" his knowledge is far below unsatisfactory. The institution that gave him his degree should be punished and investigated for fraud. If you're looking for an over priced gym with an incompetent staff, look no further. read more

They set me up with a yearly contract for their Gym. When I went to try and make a change they refused to make any adjustment to my workout routine. Not worth the money, if you ask me. read more

I used to love going to this gym despite minor things like some treadmill issues or the remote not working, it since getting new staff members I hate going there. They pushed getting more people in to the point where they are almost at max capacity and it's not an entirely friendly environment. The people they got into the gym are mostly young men who clog up the weight room. Not to mention they hired a bunch of young people as trainers who aren't even certified nor have college degrees or even going to school. I'm still paying for my membership until my contracts up, but I switched to another gym. I pop in once in a while for extra cardio or to use the tanning bed, but that's it. I used to feel at home there, but the vibe has totally changed. read more

This Anytime Fitness location was brand new about a year and a half ago. Fortunately, I moved to the area just a few short months after they opened. Brand new building, brand new equipment, everything was brand new. I loved coming here after work especially being such a short distance from my apartment and from my workplace. I spent about 6 months in the area before I had to move away for a project for work. I was gone 9 months and when I came back some things had definitely changed here, not necessarily terrible changes, but changes nonetheless. I didn't recognize any of the staff that came to be familiar to me, every machine that I used upstairs there was something wrong with the TV (remote didn't work therefor you couldn't change the channel, the sound was stuck on low, and the another you couldn't turn the closed captioning off which drives me crazy), and the touchscreen on the virtual classroom didn't work for me. These things are not all the clubs fault though. It's not their fault that members cannot take care of expensive gym equipment that they are ultimately paying for. STUPID. I did like the addition of the complimentary cold water upstairs and the addition of rubber mats for your wet shoes and boots. The new staff is really friendly, especially Gary who was extremely helpful. I love Anytime Fitness and have been a member for 4+ years now - I don't think I will change that anytime soon either. read more
