Either they don't pick up the phone, never call back or always have some excuse as to why the check isn't ready. My husband finally got through to some man via phone call after calling literally 9 times, and was told that he can come pick up the check today to which my husband confirmed the time, etc and took off work early in order to get to the camp office on time. Once there, he was told that the check was mailed back to the "other" office and when my husband asked why they couldn't call him or at least not confirm the pickup today and perhaps not tell him that the check is ready; both the supervisor and the man looked perplexed. Mind you, this has been one of our many, many, many attempts in trying to get our rightful money back and they always have some excuse. Please, take your child somewhere else! We just moved from NYC so we do have experience with various camps and this camp hires barely-there looking teens with no experience who only know how to harass the parents if their child jumped too high and immediately have the child picked up cause the workers don't want to do anything and it clearly shows! It may seem like a good idea cause of the price but you get what you pay for, if not a lot less so save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else where your child can get a decent experience.

My oldest, preteen, especially enjoys meeting new friends from other area schools and likes being here instead of stuck at home. We miss being able to do camps here for the kids.

This review pertains directly to the adult mens basketball league, run by League Lineup which has…read moretheir games at this facility (they don't have their own yelp page for obvious reasons). I had to find a way to post a review of the league because it is without question, the WORST experience I've ever had in a rec basketball league (and I've played in most in the SD area). They are without doubt the worst run league in San Diego county. The officiating is consistently awful - in multiple cases we had to explain the rules TO THE OFFICIAL. What's worse, they show clear favoritism to those in the league (same 2 teams every season) where the officials have personal relationships with some of the players, and ZERO consistency from week to week, or from team to team in terms of how they call the game. Im not usually one to complain about bad officiating, but with these guys it's sooo atrocious that it almost has to be intentional. I've seen plenty of poorly officiated games and leagues before, but I've never before felt cheated as I did after one season in this league. These guys are incompetent and I would highly recommend that those seeking a good adult mens basketball league seek elsewhere. I know for myself I will never again give them a single red cent of my money. If I could give a zero star review I would.

Not a well run club. Little to no communication on events, sports season timing, what new, etc,…read more You can leave a message but they never get back to you. They never have the information you need at the time if you do get a hold of them. Lots of potential here just need some leadership.

Highly reccomend for anyone wanted their child enjoying their time with other great ones . My son doesn't go to school in santee so he gets to be around multiple little league players and friends from his own and elsewhere . I highly reccomend and continue to do so to all friends and family .

This program is a great alternative to other after school programs that I've used and considered…read moreover my 15+ years of being a Santee dad. The newer building has great amenities like a full basketball court gym and many different rooms for kids to quietly study, watch movies or do crafts. Unlike Project SAFE there's plenty of air conditioned building space where my kids don't spend the summers outside drenched in sweat. The yearly membership charge is nominal and they work with the Santee school district to offer bus transportation from school (at a cost directly from the district). There is a bit of 'you get what you pay for' with thin offerings of administration and old school paper enrollment. YMCA and Project SAFE charge thousands of more per year for similar after school and summer school programs so I'm fine with the trade-off. Regardless, my kids really like the staff, their time there and are excited to go after school. The Boys and Girls Club of Santee hold the safety of the kids paramount with their policies and practice.
