High Desert Labradoodles produces one litter at a time, raising puppies in their home, with an incredible focus on their wellbeing, temperament and socialization. Dakota's philosophy and commitment to both the mother and puppies is unmatched. Each puppy, from birth through the careful matching process with each home, is gently and deliberately handled, loved and socialized. The puppies are loved on by her wonderful family, including her two daughters, which was a large bonus for our family. We were looking for a family dog, which Australian labradoodles are well known as, but being raised from day one around and handled by smaller hands was a wonderful asset. Dakota runs such an ethical, mindful business. She is wonderful and was happy to answer any questions I had before our puppy was born, in the eight weeks our puppy was in her care and even when we took our puppy home. Everywhere we go, our petite girl Granger (from Leo and Dory's litter), receives numerous compliments on her temperament, looks, and affectionate nature. I am constantly asked to give the name of our breeder and happily share High Desert Labradoodles name every time. Jada, as she is known today, has the most precious and special spirit you could possibly imagine. Each and every person she meets makes a remark as to how gentle, kind, and loving she is. Jada is the most gentle, sweet soul and we are so blessed to have her in our family. Just two years after our first visit with Jennifer at Black Oak French Bulldogs, we were prepared to welcome a second bully into our lives. This time, Singing Fawn, was the one hand-picked just for us. She is known as Isabel today or "Mother Earth" as we oftentimes refer to her as. This name comes from the fact that she is so calm, soothing, and connected to nature. She is exceptionally loving and gentle in disposition. Her favorite thing to do is be outside and just sit silently and rather calm to soak up all of her surroundings. Both girls, Jada and Isabel, are remarkably loving, connected to their family, and unlike any other dog (which we never refer to them as) we have ever known. We will never forget the experience and the friendship that has been formed with Jennifer Moon over the years. In addition to the wonderful dogs she creates- the care, love, dedication, and time she puts into them is unparalleled. French Bulldogs have become unbelievably popular in the last few years. But Jennifer was familiar and quite honestly far beyond genius in the way she nurtures and ensures that each and every one of her dogs has the most incredible foundation and life (long before they gained such popularity). She treats each of her dogs with the utmost care, love, and respect. I can tell you personally that this shines through in her dogs long after they've left their birthplace. I cannot say enough good things about our experiences over the years and am genuinely grateful to call Jennifer a good friend to this day. We had been looking to add a new addition to our family for quite sometime, but were extremely picky with not only what we were looking for, but also picky when it came to where we got our special pup. After scourning the net for what felt like months (realistically about 3 weeks), we came across Blackoak's via Yelp; THANK YOU YELP! We went to the website and KNEW, right then and there, this is the breeder we wanted to get our Frenchie from. Just looking at the website we got such a positive feeling, which was very comforting. Just navigate the website and you will see what I mean. These dogs are treated like royalty in each and every aspect of their lives. Blackoak's is dedicated to taking care of their animals!! We inquired about "Ten Bears" and got a very thorough response from Jennifer not even 24 hours later. I then called her; this really sold us! Just talking with Jennifer you can tell just how much love she has for each and every single pup. More importantly, she addressed every question we asked with sincerity, not just a pre-fabricated answer to shut us up. It was so reassuring that she cared to know who these pups went to and was adament about making sure they were going to a good home; not at all concered with the almighty $.
