THIS REVIEW IS STRICTLY BASED ON THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PROVIDED AS THEY DID NOT PERFORMSERVICE REPAIR ON VEHICLE I called the day prior to ask for his labor charge as I had gotten a quote from a previous shop whose labor charge was high, arriving in the morning, they give me a quote and it comes out higher than the first shop due to the fact that he is up charging astronomically on the parts he went from $600 for just left axel an no sway bar to $1000 for 1 axel and sway bars . MOOG sway bar links that are on the manufacturers website for $36-$50 per bar and on Amazon for $30 per bar for the exact manufacturer MOOG model number , He looks me dead in my face and proceeds to tell me he is charging $100 per bar. I don't want to even imagine what he was charging me per axle and struts, I then ask him if I buy the parts that he is going to buy, can I bring them in and he repairs the car he proceeds to tell me "no they put on quality parts Not over-the-counter" so because I would like to save $400-$600 on parts and buy the same exact parts from the manufacturers website and bring them into you they are not " Quality parts". They advertise "price match " but not once did he say if I found The exact same parts and manufacturer for a lower price would he match the price, they think because they advertise in the shop they are a "dealer alternative shop" that they can charge you an arm and a leg on aftermarket parts . It's crazy how I read the the reviews and one guy says he paid for your "premium parts" and he said they parts did not hold up to the "premium status " so do you really buy "quality " or "premium " parts as you say?????? He was not the only one fooled by that line. I understand yall running a business, but prices like that for parts are wild , i literally brought all the parts needed (MOOG) like he said for the axel and sway link and the struts for $400. "Quality parts" not a DIY but I am now thanks . I saved well over $900 talking to you people read more

The owner of this business is not customer friendly The shop hours were posted and to close at 530 I arrived with a flat tire at 445 He told me he wouldn't patch the tire because they were closing early I asked if there was another tire shop and he said yes but refused to call them for me My mom was with me She had done business at the shop prior He looked her up on the computer and saw she was in the shop I am from out of town I have never experienced an owner treating a return customer this way Such poor business ethics!!!!! I have told people about the service I received and they are telling more people I hope he goes out of business! I've been using Apex for the better part of a decade and they are still the best and most trustworthy auto shop I've ever used. I recently had a flat tire, so I put on the spare, threw the flat in my car, and dropped it off at Apex. Unfortunately, I needed a new tire (I anticipated that due to where the puncture was). They didn't have it in stock but ordered it, got it in the following morning, and called me. I would give this place 10 stars if I could! They totally saved me a year ago when I was having transmission problems and I needed a quick fix before I traded my car in. Love the price, love the service, love the speed of repair - these guys were my heroes Now, I was headed out on a six hour round trip, and a protective plate was dangling from the bottom of my car. I've been here a total of 3 times. The first time was to get a hole in my tire plugged. The second time was for the same thing, but they discovered that one of my brake lights was out and was an additional $40, but that seemed suspicious since I had just gotten a brake light check while at Jiffylube an hour earlier while getting my oil changed. But maybe a weird coincidence who knows. The third time was for a mysterious squeaking noise under my hood that was only present when my A/C was on. Turns out the fan belt was completely melted and the estimated total was a little over $2,000, the reasoning being that parts of the melted off belt could've potentially be in the compressor and would require a whole system flush. Now I'm in my early 20's and just don't have that kind of money. I called my uncle about it and said I was being taken advantage of (and robbed) and the story I was told was complete horse shit. Only the belt needed to be changed. I drove up an hour to see him and he replaced it for $50. I've been hesitant to leave this review because I've thought to myself "What if my uncles wrong and one day my cars going to break down in the middle of nowhere because my compressor failed?" but this happened over 7 months ago and I've driven to and from Orlando several times since then (along with my regular driving and my work is somewhat far) as well as going through 2 separate moves and everything's been running smoothly. At that point the guy sounded put out, said he called and left me a message, which HE DID NOT call me, so lying already about the call, then did not want to work with me on making an appt where i could wait for the repair given i don't have a ride, and would not give me a ride. Everything about my experience with Apex with top notch. I was looking for a second opinion and quote after getting a list of things needed to be fixed on my car from another mechanic. I found Apex on Yelp and submitted a request for a quote. Wes called me back the same day and I was pleased with the initial customer service over the phone. I made my first visit to the shop and was already pleasantly surprised by the shop's clean and welcoming store front. Brian greeted me and after explaining my car issues and that I was looking for a 2nd opinion, he explained their apples to apples price matching guarantee. I made my appointment to have my car looked at and was able to get the work done the same day. Brian was able to match my other quote, give me a discount, and also explained exactly what I did and didn't urgently need to have repaired to help me make the right decision when it came down to the final cost. As soon as the inspection was completed I received, via text and email, a detailed inspection report with pictures, of the work they did and they also physically showed me one of the damaged parts. I do not know much about cars, but Brian explained everything so I would understand the repairs needed. It was a long day, but all made bearable because of their "VIP" lounge with comfy chairs, a tv and cable, coffee, and Wi-Fi; it was my temporary office for the day and saved me 2 trips of having to leave and come back. We found Apex it's close to our house we wanted to try a small shop instead of the big automotive shops. Took the car in they had the car for several hours we told them about an on going issue . When we returned to the shop they had a list of issues that was wrong with the car. We started on the ongoing problem and a few others. They told us it would take all day and possibly part of the next day well they called us 4 hours later and said it's all done and everything is good. We picked up the car and they next day we had an engine light on and an oil burning smell. Took the car back the had it for a most of the day and then called us late in the day to tell us the found one of our fans was unplugged and surprise an oil leak. The called 4 hours later said it was done then they charged us another 200 for fixing what was already done. They made up more stories about what else was wrong. This was the best auto issue related visit I've ever had. I got my tires at Costco and went to Apex Automotive based on other yelp reviews for an alignment. It turns out, you get a discount for this service if you get your tires from Costco! Stellar right??? That's not all. The service I received was outstanding. Anthony and Bryan were super friendly and courteous. Anthony even went as far as to explain how an alignment is conducted and what all the numbers mean. Having an older Mini Cooper, I appreciate the time and care this company showed me while I was there. These guys are honest, and they've saved me from the evil clutches of my dealership more than once. They also offer a two year warranty on all work they do (unless I'm mistaken). For example, my heater stopped working. Not a HUGE deal in Florida by any means, but a few days later, my check engine light came on, and I worried that I had an expensive problem on my hands. Turns out, when I went to get an oil change at Jiffy Lube a month prior, they forgot to put the cap back on, and an air pocket was formed that caused the issue. The total damage was only $70. They also resurrected my AC previously at a reasonable price, after my dealership, after having religiously gone to them and did every little maintenance thing they suggested for over a year, managed to not point out to me or notice that there were several leaks occurring that were destroying my AC. At that point, I decided I was done with them, and Apex fixed the issue for substantially less. I'm sticking with Apex for the foreseeable future. read more

I don't leave a review for this type of business after just one visit. I think it's not a fair evaluation. So, after three or four visits to Apex, I think I can make a fair review. I would highly recommend these guys for your auto needs. Worth the drive if you can arrange it. After our latest need for service, Brian called a few days later to check on our satisfaction. Actually, I said, my son is complaining a little about his new brakes. Brian said bring it in and they will check it out. We did, of course, and they quickly determined the minor issue, unrelated to the earlier repair work. They took care of it quickly with no additional charge. I have a lot of respect for these guys. When I arrived, I explained to Joey that my "check engine" light was on and gave him some history of my car issues. He set aside what he was working on and grabbed his computer and came outside with me right at that very moment to help me diagnose the issues I was having with my car. They did a full inspection, and told me a few other things I needed to get changed. They were friendly and pretty reasonable with pricing. Make sure to call and set up and appointment! So Brian gives me a quote for a bunch of service. I ask him if he can do any better on the price. He said he has NO wiggle room at all. So I get a better quote from a competitor & go to pick up my Jeep. Brian has the nerve to tell me ha has a price matching plan that will match any competitors price. I needed a inspection for palm beach county done for my business, I found these guys here on yelp and gave them a call, the phone was answered quickly and friendly, mind you I had called all over town and apex was the first to say they could do the inspection, They was asked if I wanted to bring my car in later that day, but I couldn't adjust my schedule to get in at the time I was quoted, so I asked what time was available the following day? They said if I was a early bird I could bring in a 8, perfect that worked for me. When I arrived I was greeted at the front desk with smile, and some small talk while I gave him the info on my car, then he told me they are getting right on it, and I could wait in the lounge, which was the nicest lounge that I've ever waited in at auto shop, with great coffee to boot! I brought my Mazda to Apex because of some rattling and clunking noises that were getting worse and worse. I had already brought the car to two other mechanics (both of which had good reviews on yelp...) who weren't really sure what the problem was and would give me a laundry list of possible causes. Apex diagnosed the two noises the same day I brought it in. One turned out to be a potentially bad safety issue. The other they weren't entirely certain on, but said if they turned out to be wrong they wouldn't charge me the price of the parts they put in until it was fixed. The also did a full inspection of the car, which I didn't even ask for, but they sent the results in an email report that included pictures of each item so you could be sure they weren't jerking you around. For me this was great because I don't know much about cars, but my father who lives out of state does. So I forwarded the results to him and he looked it over. There were a couple of additional smaller issues that I declined to get repaired but at least I know about them now. They were eventually able to track down parts that were cheaper than the original estimate, which saved me a $150 or so. They also offered to pay for a rental car for a day if I needed. When I picked up the car, it was running like new, honestly better than the day I bought it - they even got it washed it for me! The work also came with a 2-year warranty, which I've never seen anywhere else. All in all, they seemed far more knowledgeable than a lot of other mechanics I've been to. Anthony was who I talked to the most and he was really good about talking over repair options with me and making sure I was satisfied with the work. Very happy I went there! read more
