But where to find one who'll come to your compound in the boonies? Well, it just so happens that there is a Chad for that job, and he runs Ground Werks Landscaping. I found Chad via referral by another crew that does brush clearing with hand and power tools. Our plot was just too big for their approach. Chad gave us a reasonable rate, worked around plants we wanted to keep (native sages and manzanita) and was fast to boot. This is the second year that we have had Ground Werks out, and we'll likely keep calling Chad when we need someone to help with brush clearing, mowing or general land maintenance. They also did quite a bit of cement work and built a patio cover. We recently had our slope cleaned up and everything was trimmed and fertilized. The 2 landscapers who did this work completed what we requested to perfection. Eddie did most of the trimming and another gentleman did most of the cleaning up. Unfortunately I didn't get his name.
