They suggested a drinking straw inside the weatherstripping to solve the problem. More emails & calls & eventually another service call to install heavier weatherstripping. They did not use a heavier product, but simply installed the same weatherstripping moving outwards slightly, leaving a bigger gap & more light shining thru. Poor installation, ignored emails, ineffective service visits & still no resolution. If Greyhawk resolves this issue properly I will be happy to update this review.

Even though we paid extra for one of the company's designers. You would think they would have foresight in where electric, lights and such would go. Multiple mistakes. They have misplaced them on each place they put them. The project started over a year ago. It was a garage, a room addition, and later I added a foyer/porch. I only did one change order for that. My joists sat for months growing mold. They were still put in my project, even with my protest. I forced the company owner to visit back in June. He told me he was embarrassed and would take care of me. He did NOT. This was the most expensive mistake I have ever made. The project was overpriced for what I have received. This project is over $150k, you'd think they could at least be nice to me. This should have been a 3 month long project. Some of the subs were good. Some weren't. I have been living in one bedroom during this entire project and haven't had a kitchen since June. My furniture has been in storage. Our social and family life has been on hold. We haven't been able to have our grandchildren here because of living in a construction zone. I wish I could give a better review.

I recently signed a…read morekitchen design/pre-construction agreement listing my $75K-85K target budget and paid a 10% deposit ($7,500) to be applied towards the remodel. Prior to signing, I shared all vendor quotes/plans and JLS agreed IN WRITING they can absolutely coordinate with my quartz fabricator. After securing my deposit, JLS presented a $106,000 proposal (25 to 42% above the budget range) including a quartz quote $10k higher than my quartz quotes. Despite earlier flexibility, JLS' reversal tactics made it clear that their "preferred" vendors actually mean "required" vendors. JLS' minimal cost breakdown and underwhelming renderings lacked transparency and financial responsibility. I requested a 50% deposit refund but JLS rejected this as non-refundable. I have since hired a new contractor based on the same remodel parameters and am fully on budget. Sharing to help other homeowners avoid similar experiences with JLS Remodeling Services.

Josh came to give me a quote which originally involved indoor concrete floors and a rubber gym floor. I since cancelled the concrete flooring with Josh and considered doing some tile in the area where the concrete was going to go. I found someone else to do the tile for much less and just wanted Josh to install the rubber floor inside a small room in my house. Josh was great and friendly this entire time. He agreed and sent me a bunch of samples and different types of floors to install. I picked one and he then sent me a contract. The contract required a 50% deposit, which I understand, but he wouldn't give me a start date for the project until receiving the deposit. I'm thinking that's why this project has never started. After months of an occasional email from him asking if I was ready to start, I was finally ready to get the floors installed. I asked for him to add a start and completion date in a new contract, the previous one was from months ago and had no dates. He said he would and now it's been a few more months of him telling me he will send a contract with the dates when he gets back to the office. I've posted a screenshot of the last email for records.
