Since I had already handled the cleanup myself, I declined their offer. I hope moving forward there's more attention to preparation and proper demo practices so situations like this can be avoided for other clients. I want to share my experience so others know what to expect. When the roofing work started, the lack of professionalism was obvious. There was little to no preparation--no tarps were laid down, and debris was scattered all over my yard. I recently had landscaping done, and it was frustrating to see roofing materials, nails, and trash . Even after the job was "completed," cleanup was incomplete. I'm still finding roofing debris in my backyard, on my grill, and even on my smoker. They also damaged my outdoor lamps and didn't bother to fix or properly replace them. To make matters worse, they left behind leftover materials, including a large box of nails and roofing liner. Oh and because they had little care for prep my dog's water/food bowls had material thrown on them. If I wasn't paying attention they would of ingested that stuff. As someone who grew up around roofing (my father is a roofer), I can say this level of carelessness is not normal--it's sloppy. While the roof itself may look fine at a glance, the overall experience and lack of respect for my property were disappointing. I would strongly encourage others to be cautious and ask detailed questions upfront before hiring this company.

When we chose them, they started the job when they said they would. They finished the job when they said they would. I was in the construction business, so I stopped in during the job. He showed me the bad wood before he replaced it and charged a very reasonable rate for the wood work. TLDR: Dehlinger Construction's poor inspection ability resulted in my original roof leak…read more(identified during a hurricane) not being repaired, only to find out during another hurricane that there was indeed still a leak. Two years ago, Hurricane Ian passed through the Orlando region. The ceiling and floor in my garage was soaked, which is why we called Dehlinger. Their inspector, Shannon, came out to the property after the hurricane and performed an inspection. In the attic above my garage, it looks as though Flex Seal was used (unknown to us as we had tenants in the property at the time) in a corner to stop some type of leak (see photos). The inspector, Shannon, identified a hole in the garage. Dehlinger sent repair technicians to my property and proceeded to fix the hole as well as replace multiple shingles on my roof. Fast forward 2 years and Hurricane Milton has passed. Another leak in the exact same area as the original leak happened which resulted in pieces of ceiling drywall falling in my garage. I called Dehlinger again and they sent a repair technician, Luke, to my property to assess. Luke verbally told me that the area where the Flex Seal is located was the cause of the leak and that the inspector, Shannon, did not correctly identify the leak two years ago, which resulted in the issue never being fixed. Luke also stated that he disagrees with the company as they should send employees who are going to complete the repairs to assess the damage rather than inspectors (who don't complete the repairs and actually do the work). Now, I'm no expert, but if I see Flex Seal sprayed onto a wall, chances are there is some sort of leak in that area. I truly don't believe you need to be an inspector or expert to make that assumption. But I hired the "experts" and here we are. Now, after calling Shannon (who was somewhat combative over the phone call), I was told that they would speak to their employee, Luke, in regard to some of the comments that were made when he was at my property and that the repair that they completed 2 years ago was indeed the cause of the original leak and that this was a new issue. She also stated that the warranty for their repair was for 6 months. Now, if there are 2 problems that caused the same leak, I would have liked to have had both repaired 2 years ago rather than having to deal with the same problem 2 years later. After the conversation, Shannon stated that she would talk to her Project/Site lead about the issue and get back to me with a resolution. I received an email from Drew Dehlinger (the owner) with no resolution, just stating that the company is currently at capacity and that if I need a repair ASAP, I should consider going to another company. It's a shame that a company, with many good reviews, does not stand by their work nor their core values. They are not reliable, as they did not fix (whether it was 2 leaks or 1) the original issue, and they do not have integrity as they do not stand by their work as they won't even consider fixing the issue. As Drew Dehlinger told me "If you need this repair handled asap I would recommend you go with another roofing vendor". Steer clear from this company people.

They took out my upper cabinets without my knowledge or authorization,only the bottom ones that had water damage were to be removed, the doors and drawers were to be saved , the cabinets rebuilt and my doors and drawers put on. but they tore out everything without even saying one word to me, they then tried to replace my semi custom cabinets with cheap basic off the floor store cabinets. I would have kept my slightly damaged semi custom cabinets before i would have had the cabinets they picked out put in my home! I had torn out those kind of cabinets when i remodeled my kitchen 4 1/2 yrs ago! A neighbor saw them load my cabinets on a black trailer and cart off my cabinets before i even knew they were torn out! They also took my 4 yr old granite countertop, sink, along with my cabinets and did not return them to me. I have worked with several contractors in the past and i never had such a bad experience as with Dehlinger. They acted like they could do what they wanted in my home and i didnt need to be told and had no say in the work they did.

If I had known so much wood was rotten over the detached garage I probably would have torn it down.

They told me my system was completely shot and that it would cost me 25K to repair. When we balked, they said they could cap it off so we could put in a gas or electric model. They said it would be $5,000 to close off the chimney and it would never function normally again. We called another group of chimney repair people. They said my system was in mint condition, raged at what these men tried to pull. My wife still wanted to install an electric. They did a professional cap for $225 and left it easily restorable to full function. DO HIRE THIS COMPANY.
