Ernesto Garcia is a very good gardener. He worked wonders in our…read moreyard. He comes on time, seems to know just what a yard needs from trees, to flowers to veggies. He is thorough, honest, and professional. He transformed our yard of sand to one that needed very little water. he put in lavender, tea tree, rosemary.... he sweeps the patio, and picks up all the trash before he leaves. He planted a small orchard for us, lemons, oranges, plums and kept them all healthy. Hard worker and has a crew he can bring in if needed. I have never had a better gardener.! B White Cebada Cyn

However, when they stated they were qualified to install hardscape, the end result was a nightmare. The retaining wall was done completely wrong. I asked that one row be done all over because it dipped as much as 6 inches and was pitching forward. They also did not use the right size blocks, compact with roadfill, backfill with rocks, and even though they were made to do one row over, it will not pass code. When I explained this, Mr. Garcia stated because it was a home, that was not an issue. I was left with a very substandard, and structurally unsound retaining wall, that is uneven, pitches forward, and leaches dirt constantly. If all you need is mowing fine-use this company. But if you need anything else......save your money and the potential liability, and get a professional!!!!

This used to be in a much smaller location nearby. I thought that they had gone out of business,…read moreas when we were in town previously their space was emptied out. Hadn't realized that they'd expanded, added in vintage dealer spaces, and moved to a new place. Luckily, I found them online and realized that they had a new location. Dear Hubby and I had been staying in nearby Santa Maria and decided to drop in on our way south. It was worth the trip. I like that they have such a great variety of merchandise. The main front room is mostly spaces for local crafters / artisans with new or newer goods. Moving toward the back and side rooms, there are many booths for dealers with vintage / antique items. It's a browsers paradise! Couldn't resist picking up a sparkly pair of earrings, a "Farmhouse"-logo pillow, and some small succulents for a great price. Most everything seems fairly priced, actually. The woman minding the store (owner, perhaps?) was very friendly and helpful as we rounded up our purchases. I did ask about Mike's Birdhouses, which was one of the reasons that we'd stopped by. We'd previously purchased several of his charming rustic creations and were looking for more. Mike also operates a shop with model train supplies, but is only open a couple of days mid-week. The woman told us that she's reached out to him a number of times about him bringing in some of his birdhouses, but he hasn't made it happen yet. Still, it was enjoyable to see the different displays of goods. A lot of emphasis on Valentine's Day, which is coming soon. I'm sure they'll dive headfirst into Spring/Easter soon thereafter. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area.

Lots of local gifts and some vintage items. Cute shopping area with fun garden stuff.read more
