What an incredibly special place!
I fully admit I came to attend Catholic Family Land (also known as Holy Family Fest full of skepticism. Everything everyone said about the experience seemed too good to be true. Were we really going to have such a fun and memorable time that we couldn't wait to come back? Make lasting memories better than any beach or similar vacation? Were we really going to make potentially lasting connections? The answer was a resounding yes.
The day is structured with Mass in the morning followed by speakers/programming for all levels and ages. Then there is a considerable amount of free time (with plenty of structured and unstructured activities available). Then there is a communal evening activity like Rosary or dance party..
There is so much to do and you are completely immersed in a Catholic bubble (in a good way).
We stayed in the cinder block cabins. They had four bunks, a fridge, microwave and table. They don't have heat or ac, but being the summer you can manage that with fans or blankets.
They have a variety of accommodations ranging from non hook up tent sites to air conditioned cabins.
If you are Catholic, definitely consider taking a family vacation here. read more
