I was looking for a good firming face cream, and the pharmacist was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to explain the different Austrian skincare products, recommended an excellent face cream for my skin, and generously gave me several samples for both my face and body to try. The customer service was exceptional--friendly, knowledgeable, and never pushy. Learning about the pharmacy's rich history made the experience even more special. If you're visiting Vienna and appreciate quality skincare with outstanding personal service, I highly recommend stopping by. It was one of my favorite shopping experiences in the city!

It had rich wooden counter tops, brass and bronze fixtures, and a level of care and service like I've never experienced from most pharmacies! They had everything in Austrian, and the clerk wasn't the best with English, but we got the messages across with international sign language. Fortunately, chemical names of drugs apply internationally, and we got everything figured out. One of the other customers stepped in and helped when there was a bit of misunderstanding, but it all worked out! They had everything that we needed. The prices were nowhere near what you find at the local CVS or Walgreens. Parking is challenging, with only parking on the street.

Thanks for Google search I found DM - drogerie markt which was a few minutes away from my hotel; yet, out of sight. Similar to your local drug store, in my case CVS, DM sells cosmetics, healthcare items, household products, and healthy/convenient foods. Their layout looks more like an clutter-free, upscale bodega (corner store) than the layout of a pharmacy or CVS. However, the signage is quite similar (including the red letters in the company's name.) Almost every products' package is in German but, the items are recognizable. Die Dame wollte mir keine D3 Tropfen ohne Rezept verkaufen und meinte ich solle mir ein Rezept bei meinem Hausarzt verschreiben lassen. Da ich mir zu 100% sicher bin dass man für D3 Tropfen kein Rezept braucht finde ich es wirklich fürchterlich nicht über die Einnahme aufgeklärt zu werden. Ich würde Sie bitten die Dame besser aufzuklären damit so ein ähnlicher Fall wie bei mir heute nicht den anderen Kunden geschieht.
