if i could give them a -10000000 i would. their customer service is appalling, the mangers have no balls to fix the stuff ups of their staff. my daughters phone was sent away and it took almost a week for the phone to reach their "secret depot" where repairs are carried out. it should have taken a week for the repair, no communciation from store, you try and call and they don't answer. ruby - you are disgusting and rob and george your managerial skills are non exisitent. could have taken the phone to telstra and claimed warranty repair there but cannot because apple have sent the phone away to a secret depot location, still has not been fixed, still have no word as to when or what repairs would be carried out. sorry from the managers is just a word with no meaning. beware if you don't buy phone from apple store because their customer service is pretty shat. asked if i could collect phone but no, asked if i could pay for the courier to collect - no phone is 9 months old - but they refused to replace it there and then. in all my years of owning an apple i have never seen a more incompetent team and lack of customer service. mine is not the only bad review - so apple should look at this particular location and really clean it up. read more

I have so many apple products and now the support staff are useless. Nobody has a clue what to do and cannot repair or diagnose anything. "We just swap parts and hand back to the manufacturer" I'm told. Then went on to try and blame me for tampered with parts to make an excuse as to why they can't be bothered ordering in new parts to even diagnose a fault! Hopeless. read more

I am a huge apple fan. Almost all tech I own is apple. But the love affair has well and truly ended. I updated my three year old iPad with the latest ios as it would not let me use certain functions anymore without an update. My iPad bricked up straight after the update. It had the connect to iTunes symbol and nothing else. I tried everything but nothing worked to fix it. I went into the apple store and was told by a very rude and arrogant apple "genius" that "sometimes when you drive a car you think ever is fine and your car will work fine but then you drive it up a hill and suddenly it breaks down...." I'm not kidding that was his analogy. So my options he said were, buy a brand new iPad or pay $300 to replace by iPad. I argued that the correct analogy would be... you buy a car and it works perfectly then you find out that the company is only selling one type of gas/petrol for the car, you cannot choose any other gas. You fill up your car with this new gas and it destroys your car and you can't drive your car anymore... I said this would be the car companies responsibility to replace all the older model cars for free if their own new gas that is not optional destroys the cars... of course he got very frustrated with me and said... "do you want to pay for the replacement or buy a new iPad!!!!".... apparently only apple geniuses are allowed to make analogys in the apple store. I went online and did more digging... this is an epidemic with apple products, there are literally THOUSANDS of complaints about it in the apple forums. They create software updates that their older products cannot handle and it bricks them. Its not just older iPads but iPhones too. The iPad issue is just the tip of the iceberg. Long story short I went to CONSUMER AFFAIRS and NSW FAIR TRADING and GOT A REPLACEMENT IPAD FOR FREE because you cannot create software that's incompatible with your products that renders them useless and then expect the customer to just purchase newer products. We love Apple. Well I do anyway. I've been using Apple since the wiley old days at audio-production school back in the 90's when Apple was known for being the go-to choice for all things graphic-y and audio-y. Today of course they are a going concern globally, so what am I going to add here to the mix? Well, nothing really. Apple is Apple. They have hands down the greatest customer service I've ever ever ever ever experienced My service history with them goes back to roots I can barely remember and every step they have been with me, every step of the way and every step has been flawlessly customer service orientated (even the spat I had at a GM once over a repair schedule).. Broadway? not much to add to the equation. Knowledgable staff (of course), friendly, smiling, together, with it, and perfectly executed. Almost like... automatons. Hmmmmmm. Nahh. The staff are very personable. Of course, when the lovely young girl who served me said "Wow you smell nice" I melted. That wins every time for me, and she really wanted to know what cologne I was wearing (Bulgari of course). This was while she was expertly processing my iPad and other sundries into a sale. Bribery by scent? Yep! But whats to bribe? I've already listed the reasons why I like Apple and their Apple Stores. Broadway as you'd expect is no different from any other Apple Store. Bright, Well appointed, well serviced, and.... yep. Tick the boxes, you know what I mean. read more

If I could give the customer service no starts I would. I have had the worst customer service experience ever. Here I'm ready to purchase a Mac Pro and as I walk to the store I'm asked to go and wait near the Mac Pro table after several minutes a "customer service " person makes eye contact and says can I help.I attempt describe what I need but he is more interested in focusing on a movie he happens to be watching with his Prather customer service guy!! Phone display died with other issues was unable to turn on or get a proper diagnosis as the phone wasn't responding. Admitted I had a 3rd party screen replacement. They fix my phone and I call to ask how much it will cost - was told absolutely nothing as it was under warranty - just come in and collect it. Then I come in to pick it up and get told it will cost me 600 to collect it after being lied to over the phone. After being in the store for 30 min I get sent the receipt for 600 dollars 15 min into the second conversation with the staff members that have messed up in the first place (covering their asses cause they never sent me anything and just expected me to whip the money out of thin air). They don't honor their word. I originally asked them to not fix it if it was going to cost me anything. But they fixed it anyways. Then they offer to unfix my phone and send me on my merry way. After explaining my situation many times and being assured that it wasn't going to cost me anything I was then spoken to in a patronizing way and was not offered any good customer service at all but the workers to back track on their job and hand me back a broken phone that they had just fixed. After being asked what I wanted to do multiple times I told them I wanted them to honor what I was told over the phone. The conversation went around in circles because they messed up terribly and not even out of good will won't honor what they had told me over the phone. A complete joke Apple. 100% the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. read more

Was blown away by bad customer service actually. Usually my experience with apple stores has been amazing, but this time not. I was actually dealing with the manager directly, and he totally lied to me. When I asked him to show me, it turns out he was lying, then he actually lied again and said I must have misunderstood him. Don't waste your time here. My phone (iPhone 6s) had turned off one day despite being fully charged and was not responding when I plugged it into my home computer. Not having a phone for an entire day, I decided to try my luck at the Apple store, with the hope that someone would be able to assist me with a system reboot. I explained my situation to the greeter of the store and then again to the staff manning the Genius Bar before being told that I was to come back in 4 days time when I had an appointment. I thought the service was appalling especially considering that not having a functioning phone for 4 days is an unacceptable outcome. The staff did not try to assist me at all despite the fact that there were staff at the Genius bar who were available to assist. Will definitely not be returning to this Apple Store in future. read more

I was very impressed with the service provided by staff at the Apple Store Broadway NSW until I encountered a very rude, supercilious South African male. I made a special trip to the store for advice and he literally shooed me away after making sarcastic remarks about the assistance I was seeking. This person should not be allowed anywhere near customers. He really lets the team down. Other team members were very polite and helpful when I made my purchase two days previously. This is not my first Apple product, however it is my first experience at the Apple store. I will never visit the store again. read more

I can't /not/ give this store five stars, because the customer service is that unbelievable. Apple are pretty unbeatable in that arena. This particular store is conveniently located on the top floor of the Broadway shopping complex, and I stopped by because I happened to be passing and my iPhone charger cable had been playing up and I had it with me. I mean, I know it's a $26 cable but I am mindful of my pennies at the moment (read: heaps povo) so I figured I'd ask them to see if it was just dirt in the metal dooby or whatever. Turns out it was corrosion on the metal dooby (damn you April cyclone!!), and the bright young thing (all the staff are bright young things) who served me swapped it over on the spot free of charge even though it really wasn't Apple's problem, y'know? The store itself is super bright and super clean (in fact someone was cleaning the vast windows while I was there) and teeming with staff and punters, and while you might have to wait some time to get your needs seen to you will definitely not be lacking for attention in that time. read more
