Macy's had some signage advertising Christmas in July, but I didn't have to step into Macy's for that Christmas in July shopping feeling; I simply ventured into the Apple Store on a weekend. All the shoppers/Apple owners in there will have you thinking December 25th is only mere days away. Man, what crowds. Go weekdays if you can. Definitely make a reservation for the Genius Bar beforehand if you need device issues addressed. It seems like you can reserve up to a week ahead of your desired time; same-day appointments aren't really an option online. Walk-ins aren't really encouraged. It's not clear what you're supposed to do when you get to the store. How do you check in? After asking someone, I was directed to a specific guy who checked me in and then told me to seat myself at a particular table. My genius eventually came around, and he was very polite and easygoing and didn't make me feel stupid so that was good. I got my issue fixed (probably could've been done cheaper elsewhere, but hey, it's Apple) and was able to pick up my gadget a little over and hour later. Shopping in the mall helped to kill time. If you need to charge your phone, there are some extra chargers at the phone display in the front of the store that you can use. read more

This review is for Apple in general. Will anyone join me in a class action suit against Apple? The reason: when you agree to a download of an app you are at the same time agreeing to a purchase. These should be I'm either separate agreements or a two part agreement. First part should be agree to try the app. Then second part a confirmation that you want to purchase the app. Otherwise even though you only want to try an app you are actually buying it if you don't get back in time to cancel the automatic subscription! That happened to me and I am on a fixed income. $100 means a lot to me. When I originally tried the app I went right back in and cancelled it. And today to my surprise they took $100 from my account. This experience was so frustrating. I went to the Apple Store to replace my AirPods. Initially when I walked into the Apple Store they told me I had to make an appointment and that I cannot just buy one airpod. I made an appointment for two days later. The day came they escorted me to the Apple bar. Shortly after a gentleman came over and we started the process to purchase a new AirPod. Everything was pretty standard. The AirPods cost $70. Next, he made an attempt to connect my AirPods to my phone. He said my AirPod was dead so he would give it a second to charge and he put my case on the charger. Then he went to the back and disappeared for the remainder of my time there. I assumed that they were changing shifts because it was a lot of new faces and it seem like the staff were trying to get acclimated to what was going on. After about 15 to 20 minutes of sitting there waiting for someone to connect my AirPods to my iPhone I decided to connect my AirPods myself and leave. It should also be noted, that both the case and my AirPods were greater than 80% so they were never dead to begin with. The most frustrating part about this experience was having to make an appointment when no one helped me through the complete process. I could've easily connected my AirPods myself and purchase my AirPods two days earlier. But instead I was forced to make an appointment to receive horrible customer service and add delay to what I needed. Overall I will probably be back to the Apple Store because it is a necessity because I am an Apple user however I was not satisfied with the customer service that I received out of this store. read more

Had a pickup placed. My boyfriend went to go pick it up, as it was HIS phone. They said he couldn't get it bc it had my name (carrier). Okay, cool. I added him as an authorized user AND went with him to give them the okay to give it to him. They said cool, come back at appt time. I couldn't make it bc I had work and so he went to get HIS phone. The manager and staff were rude as shit- even though we spoke to both AppleCare and Sprint and both gave us the okay that he could get the phone. He goes and waits for three more hours after explaining to the manager and getting the okay. All in all, y'all suck. Y'all secret shoppers probably tell y'all that y'all suck all the time. Bc you do. To everyone reading this review and to Apple Inc management and C-Suite that may stumble upon this review, let it be known loud and clear: there is a cancer festering in the customer service at this location. Rude, abysmal customer service with zero accountability from its employees and store managers. I went in for an issue with my iPhone SE. After speaking to a representative who suddenly ended his shift on me without any explanation, an abrasive woman with a bandana and dreads that goes by the name Adrienne was very abrasive to me. Completely uncalled for. I asked to speak to her manager and her response was "I'm the store lead." I asked to speak the manager again and she brought a woman named Ashley who was not as abrasive but did not sympathize with my needs and offered no solutions. I later find out that she was a Sales Manager and not a Genius Bar manager. I finally find the Genius Bar manager named Marcus, who was wearing admittedly trendy sunglasses. I told him that there were a few reps that worked here that were abrasive with their customers. His response was "Some are. Some aren't. It is what it is. It depends on the day and the situation." This absolutely floored me and it was here that I finally realized how pervasive this cancer was in this location. Not only were employees abrasive but management had a "meh" attitude about it. Which is absolutely insane to me. Apple is a $900B company and spends billions per year and has 150k employees around the world making sure the Apple Brand remains the #1 brand in the world. Its customer service is synonymous with perfection. And here are these yahoos, including management, toppling this brand from its perch with complete disregard to the billions of combined man hours that have worked to make Apple the worlds most valuable company. And this isn't just some Apple store in the middle of nowhere Alabama. This is Atlanta Lenox, arguably the most important store in the southeast USA. And it gets worse. After reaching out to Apple support on the phone, I was contacted by the lead store manager of Apple (I think his name is John, not Devin-he was sincere). I told him everything I experienced and that Apple, as the world's most valuable company, should be striving for perfection. His response was "I won't say we're perfect, and I won't even say we're striving for perfection..." That floored me even more. Apple is nearly synonymous with perfection. And lead store management refuses to acknowledge the basic principles of the #1 tech company in the world. To the Apple DM, RM, VP of USA Sales, COO, and Tim Cook, you need to visit this store yourself as an undercover to really witness the shitshow of customer service that is happening here that's ruining the brand you all at Cupertino are working so hard to keep #1. Genius bar there is really great, the staff does not have the "I'm a mac guy" air, of course if they did it would be completely ok. I have to say it was with a fair amount of trepidation that I ventured to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store at Lenox today. I've never had great experiences there- mostly because it seems like they are Always Busy and it's just kinda chaotic, and I'm not much of an Apple product user beyond my ipad. And the boy had some recent nightmare experiences, so . . . But my new boss needed her phone reset (wiped) so she could donate it to a client dealing with some serious health issues, so make an appointment with Apple I did. Online, easy peasy. I even had to reschedule and again, no problem. I arrived early today - about 1:45 for my 2:10 appointment, expecting to have to wait. The store was indeed full and bustling as usual but a very nice associate, Jesse, approached me and found my reservation. All told, I was done about the time my appointment would have just been starting as scheduled. Nice! This isn't a place I'll likely find myself often, but it was efficiently run today and everyone was friendly. I've definitely wanted to jump out a window at T-Mobile way more than any anticipated frustration with Apple was warranted, at least today! read more

This store is racist. I came in today to book an appointment for repair /diagnostic on my AirPods. I purchased my AirPods from this same location in June 2020 and I purchased Apple Care. The Apple employee stated that I had to pay an out of pocket expense and he lied and said he was going to book an in store appointment and he only booked a call back! I had to call Apple support to find this out. Pretty confusing experience here a couple weeks ago. I stepped into one line to wait to get in the store. I was told that I needed an appointment and countered with, "I just need a replacement charger." I was sent to another identical looking line. Temps were taken, and I spoke with several more associates before gaining access to a sales associate within the store. This place is the worst. I've been to Apple stores before and if you get a chance to go anywhere else: pick another Apple store. So disorganized and some of them are flat out rude and/or abrasive. If, for some reason they can't help you (which is most of the time), they don't care, so what's the point. The lines are always long and the employees at the "Genius Bar" are no where near that. I'm really sorry but I hate going here. I refuse (unless it an emergency) to go here. Examples: 1. What the employees tell you vs what the customer service on the phone tells basically contradict each other and the customer service is willing to help but the employees are not. 2. They can't fix anything at all past the basics (which they do already with the phone customer service) 3. Getting answers takes for-e-ver y'all. Whhhhhhyyyyyyy 4. If you decide to get your phone fixed and it need to be sent out (to get repaired) but you're going out of town for a couple of weeks so you ask if they can ship it to the Apple store in the city you'll be at, they absolutely will not accommodate you, unless of course- you complain. Basically, calling in a complaint is the only way to get stuff done. Well that's sad and pathetic. It's not like that at most Apple stores but at this one it is. I don't bother coming here often because it's always packed. Unfortunately because I have an iPhone, AT&T always sends me here when I have issues with my phone. I came here Saturday because my phone was acting very strange but I didn't even make it past the entrance. My phone would hang when I try to unlock it and then restart itself 100% of the time. So I go to the store and the guy at the front entrance asks me what's wrong. He then just restarts my phone and hands it back to me and says its working now but if it breaks again come back Sunday because they're too busy today with tax free weekend. Of course, my phone breaks again after I leave the mall. So I just restored my phone myself when I got home and now it's working fine. The representatives here are useless. read more

The Genius Bar did an incomplete job when it came to repairing my phones screen, and now I'm being forced to go back though the process of making an appointment that is days away only to arrive and be told to wait in line for 40 minutes to then hand over my phone for repair that will inevitably take another two hours for a simple fix that wouldn't even be an issue had the "Genius" that was repairing my phone been competent. You cant get in touch with anyone at the store because they have programmed it to hang up on you and 1800-MY-APPLE is no help because they have no way to contact store managers directly. I'm going to stop by the store tonight to see if maybe someone would have some compassion and try to work me in to resolve an issue that was caused by the store, but I really don't have much hope for that. I have only ever owned Apples for my home. My professional life has had me work on both PCs and Apples, and I maintain I'd just rather have the headache-free computer for my home. Well, my trusty, headache-free computer briefly fritzed the other day. Display issues. Yes, a headache, but the only one I've had in the six years I've owned this machine. So I made and appointment and took it the Apple store at Lenox, who confirmed my diagnosis that the MBPro needed a new logic board. The price to have it shipped off and fixed seemed reasonable, considering how much the logic board itself costs, but these guys did a lot more than they had promised. They had replaced the logic board, the entire upper display (the whole upper half of the shell), and the battery--all for the same cost. The only inconvenient down-side is: they wiped my hard-drive. I'm not sure if the OS is now the latest one or not, as I have to set up the machine from scratch. And I won't have time to do that until I get home this evening. Still, if it's the new OS, maybe that's not such a bad thing. Update: it wasn't the new OS. :-( BTW: do your backups early and often. I do mine daily. The next employee I talked to told me to talk to someone else. Apparently, no one in the Apple store knows how to fix an Apple Watch. Finally, the next person told me to call Apple support to send a label and to ship it from my house. I told him that I am already here and that I would like to do a "carry-in" and he gave me the longest sigh and told me he doesn't understand why I don't want to ship my watch from home. At that point, I understood that he doesn't care and that he doesn't understand that I drove from my house to the store and I don't want to waste my time anymore. My wife and I went to Apple store to get a new Apple XS max for her birthday. Trevor or Travis an associate was so rude, acting like we are wasting his time, condescending while we were asking about the features of the phone. When we said we would like to finance the phone, he had the audacity to question if we have good credit and he said people who have more than 700 score were being turn down by Apple, like we can't afford to buy the phone. We complained to the manager Jeffrey, and after we went back to the store to let Jeffrey know that we are buying the phone from T mobile were the associate and the manager were courteous and very helpful!!! I have a love-hate relationship with the Lenox mall Apple store. I love all Apple products, and the staff surely aims to please, but the bright artificial light, packed shelves and huge crowds usually send my claustrophobia into overdrive. On a recent trip to address my Powerbook's backlight failure, I was helped by Mike behind the Genius Bar. Mike is extremely knowledgeable, but he could not help me, as my technology was deemed obsolete. (My computer is - gasp - eight years old!) He thoughtfully suggested I purchase an external display to allow me to limp along with my ancient G4. He also provided good advice on purchasing a new computer, should I so desire. I like the Genius Bar, even if the appointment process can be a pain. Luckily, I have a dreaded PC for my day job, so I was able to go online and schedule an appointment without a problem. After I was finished at the Genius Bar, I found a helpful sales clerk, who steered me over to Copper, based on his expertise with the new Macs. Copper was also very helpful, but I didn't feel like I was in a position to make a decision at that moment. Plus, I could sense a panic attack coming on and I didn't have my husband or a trusted friend with me to keep me calm. So I hurriedly thanked Copper for his time and made a beeline for the parking garage. Then I checked Yelp for the nearest office supply store and headed over to Staples just down the road on Peachtree for that external display Mike recommended. I will be back, after I do my research and decide which new Mac to purchase. And next time, I won't go it alone. read more

Placed an order for pickup. Upon entering the store I showed my "Order Pickup" email. I was placed in a line to wait around 15 minutes. When someone from the Apple store came to help, I was told I was on the wrong floor and sent downstairs. After letting them know I was directed to the wrong line, they didn't care to resolve the problem or apologize. I went downstairs and waited another 15 minutes. I asked about the situation upstairs and again, the employees are just frustrated. There is an outdoor area right outside the store that seems more Covid safe, but customers are instead forced to wait inside the crowded mall. The mall itself is a hotspot if you are attempting to get Covid. It's crowded, about 50% wear a mask, and of those 50%, 10% actually put it over their nose and mouth. Ok so I'm not hip, slick or cool when it comes to gadgets. I am sure that's one of the reasons I've had my phone for so long! Five years later, I am back at Apple and ready to upgrade. The specialist was young enough to be my baby brother, nephew or son. Ugh. All the questions. All the products. All the choices. I just was over it before we even got started. To my surprise. . . This youthful looking Apple employee was the best for me. He was patient. He met me at my level of understanding. Didn't over sell me. Taught me how to use the phone. I left the store happy and confident and already using my new phone. It took maybe an hour? Traded in my old phone. Helped me pick out a case. I am so excited and thankful. I had an appointment at 4:15 for an iphone 6s battery replacement. I showed up early, around 3:30 and was told to wait until closer to my appointment time. After 4:15, I waited until 4:30 until a technician took my phone. They told me it would take 2 hours to get my battery replaced. I understand that they are really busy, but I just wish that it could have been a quicker process. I've had my battery replaced before in ~15 minutes. The good thing is that my battery life is amazing since getting it replaced though. read more

Has an appointment at the Perimeter store and the didn't have my item so the sent me to the Lenox store after calling do confirming item was in stock. Was item was confirmed I was then told I could just go over to Lenox give my name and ID and pick up item. I confirmed if the store would still be open was told yes. Went straight to Lenox and got to the door at 6:01 and was told the store was closed. Explained that I was told to come over from the other store for a pickup that they had called them about was told I'm sorry but we are closed. Great place, always busy and friendly workers. My appointment was to service 3 of my iPhones. David was very patient and professional, HOWEVER, the problem still occurs. My 6 plus touch screen does not always responds. Today I could not answer a call by touching. With the second phone, it would not charge at the Genius Bar. However when I returned home and plugged the phone in it charged. This phone does not hold a charge for long. I will have to make another appointment and return to the store. read more
