Seeing as it's been 6 years since I last reviewed Apple, it's time for an update. Nail salons are so hit or miss and everyone has different expectations for their service. We almost didn't come here because my mom didn't think it would be good, well, we were so blown away by the level of service and overall experience. We just needed a basic pedicure, and they have a $32 option which looked to be bare bones, however, this to us felt like an extraordinary spa experience. My first time here was today, it's a cheaper version of quality compared to the same price as other places. I recommend Soliel Nails in Papillion I came in asking for a round pink hombre. I showed a picture and she started doing it It's more white than pink, and more almond than round So it's not what I asked for but the same price that I'm used to She also used a nail file on my cuticles couple times which I'm not used to so a bit painful! read more

She has never complained even though several times I have tried to get her to go elsewhere. After this last time where you can clearly see in the pics the disregard to my wife's safety I need to step up on her behalf. I've been here a few times for pedicures. Service is quick, friendly & a few bucks cheaper than other nail salons. I had a picture on my phone of a hand painted design I wanted similar, but instead got something that barely resembled it. Oh well, I wasn't going to complain because I was on a tight schedule. There was an accident from a lady who was getting a manicure & needed to wash her hands (?) She walked thru the pedicure area & she slipped & fell on her butt/back. I was afraid she'd really hurt herself, but she said she was fine, just embarrassed. She had a hard time getting up & blamed it on her slick shoes. On the recommendation of my daughter's voice teacher, we stopped in at Apple Nail & Spa. This was the first pedicure for my daughter. She is already planning her next appointment. The service was quick and good. The color selections are wide and vast. The people who work here are nice and helped make my daughter's first pedicure a memorable event. It is clean with disposable liners for each basin. As our pedicures progressed we were able to chat with the others around us and shared book recommendations, vacation locations and some words on Star Wars. Star Wars! I tell you that's enough to bring me back. Will update later about the pedicures and their lasting power. Update Sept 2017. Well, I went back. I listened to people And gave them another shot. This time my daughter's pedicure has done well. Now it is my dip powder manicure that is not a success. I went with the dip Powder because people said it would last for 4 to 6 weeks. Well, I am at one week and three days and the dip is starting to come off my nails. This was never t worth the $40 I spent. Don't fall into the same trap I did. THIS PLACE LEFT ME DISFUGURED. I have been coming to this nail salon regularly for over 10 years and have always had great experiences. But my last 2 visits made me never want to return again. I came in Tuesday afternoon 9/27 around 3pm and got a Shellac pedicure from a guy named Andy. Andy was very nice, but after he removed the parrafin wax from my feet, I noticed all the nail polish had melted! Anyone who knows anything about nails knows that Shellac doesn't do this. I asked him if he was sure he was using Shellac nail polish and he INSISTED yes he was. He drilled the nail polish off my nails and re-painted them, only to find they had smudged again. He drilled my nails down a 2nd time and re-painted them only to have it happen again. After this happened 3 or 4 times, the lady next to him finally told him that he wasn't using Shellac nail polish (duh!) and that's why that was happening. He finally got the Shellac version of the polish and quickly painted my nails for the 5th time. I was there nearly 3 hours and wasn't even offered a discount! On top of that, I took a closer look at my toes after I left and they were completely ruined!!! My toe nails had been drilled down 5 times into almost nothing, my nails were chipped and ruined, the polish was a MESS and they immediately began cracking!!! Typically my Shellac pedicures last about 6 weeks and this time they were IMMEDIATELY RUINED. I called the salon to report this situation, and not only did they refuse to offer me a discount or to remedy the situation, they said they couldn't do anything and then tried to blame ME for picking the wrong polish! I didn't even pick the polish. HE DID. They refused to take any responsibility and they will lose a good tipping regular customer forever. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! read more

One of the most painful manicure experiences I have had. My cuticles have never been so sore. Throughout the entire dip process, my cuticles continued to be cut and agitated by the nail sander. I've lived in Omaha for 5 years now and I still do not have a nail salon I visit regularly..I am always left disappointed by something each place I visit. Apple Nails is no exception. Tucked away in a busy little strip mall, I always pass by this place on my way to my fav teacher supply store. Met up with a friend to get out nails done around 12pm. Salon was mostly empty but they did our nails in separate rooms which I hate..if I go with someone, I want to sit near them so we can chat during the manicure But oh well. The tech who did my nails was quiet but efficient. I chose a neutral pink shellac. He used cleans tools but the jar of acrylic liquid was filthy, with gummy bits from past manicures dried up around the lip of the jar. And he had a giant blister/cut on the inside of his hands and did not wear gloves..while handling my bare hands and using tools that could easily get his germs on them. It was honestly kind of gross. My nails were done within 30 minutes, which I appreciated. What I did not appreciate is he charged me more than I was told-regular shellac with no designs/gems was supposed to be $40, but because he used special pink acrylic powder without telling me of the up charge, it was $52 before tip. Not cool, and honestly something I find to be a disturbingly common occurrence at almost every nail salon I have visited in Omaha. Wonderful deluxe pedi with Lam - I made an appointment instead of doing a walk-in. He spent over an hour massaging and scrubbing my feet/legs. Felt amazing!! Only negative was that the chair got to be super uncomfortable by the time I was done - but that might have more to do with me being 8 months pregnant ... overall great value for the price ($38 for a deluxe pedi with hot stones, wax, etc is pretty good in my book) read more

I've always liked this place for their prices. Today I had a pretty awful pedicure. The technician didn't allow my feet to soak before working on them, filed them one swipe, and what little cuticle clean-up she did was clipping to start and then tearing them downward. I have never had my cuticles treated like this. It was painful and I'm just hoping I don't have any issues from it. The salon is very dirty, and the tools were loose in a basket, no sign they've been cleaned. The "callous remover" that I paid extra for was her swiping the grater across my feet, no skin was removed. Paint job was thankfully OK but I had to tell her to go down to my cuticle, which still looks grown out since she never pushed them back! Will be finding a new place read more

There's little to no communication during services and you may often be left hanging when it comes to getting the service requested done. I've been going here for a little over a year, it was recommended by a friend. Needless to say I've gone numerous times, and I can hands down say that Sandy is amazing at her job. I've NEVER encountered any types of issues with my nails (I've gotten acrylic/solar/shellac) like lifting, breaking or the polish coming off, nails being too thick, etc. However, I've made appointments and I've had to wait for over 20 minutes to get my nails done or I've felt rushed because there is an overwhelming amount of people coming in. They're always busy bee's. I've also done shellac pedicures and they have been great as well, although I've had an experience where I've felt rushed and the gentlemen doing my toe nails looked/acted like he did not want to be at work. However, the work was executed properly and my toe nails held up for a long time. Updated review 01/29/18: I still continue going to Sandy for all my manicure needs, she's hands down the best nail tech I've encountered. It's awesome to have someone that knows how you like your nails without telling them, and her work continues to amaze me. The appointment issue has gotten better, yes you might wait a little but the wait is worth the end results. As far as pedicures I only schedule my pedicures with Nancy, she's amazing and makes you feel relaxed and not rushed. I will continue making the drive all the way from Bellevue, because it's worth it! read more

I was so disappointed in today's service. The lack of friendliness was very disappointing. My Dad usually goes to Nail Express and I thought I would "treat" him to my regular place. I like this place because they have plenty seats and I have never had to wait. The polish is well organized by color, which I love. But the chick next to me was on FaceTime with her gf throwing f bombs back and forth disturbing the entire room. The pedicurists said nothing to make us feel welcome, therefore, a tip would not be provided. Tips are for going above and beyond . They didn't ask if I wanted callous treatment, a design or anything. If you want continued customers, you may want to step up the service. Came here again, months later, hoping they would want another chance. Not a single technician with a smile or communication with their clients. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. made an appointment for 1:30pm. guy starts my nails at 1:50pm. at 1:55pm, he said he has a 2 o'clock appointment. He made me wait in the lobby for 30 MINUTES. At 2:25pm another lady finally starts to "finish" my nails. 5 minutes later there's a walk-in appointment for eyebrows, the nail lady gets up and leaves saying she'll be right back. I wait 10 minutes still nothing. Keep in mind my appointment was for 1:30pm and it is now 3pm and they were just starting. I tried to ask the manager what was going on "oh everyone's on vacation" well maybe you should let those walk ins know instead of making someone who had an appointment wait over 2 hours. I used to love going here with friends but I'm so fed up I didn't get an apology ONCE I'll never go back. Completely blown away by how awesome this place is! First time I've ever been here and sandy got me in day of after I frantically called a few hours before hand bc of an interview I had the next day! My recent full set turning into only 5 nails from a previous salon and the same thing happening the week before (the second time was from them "fixing" it.). $100 and two sets later I decide to take advice from a coworker and check out this hidden gem. When I arrived Sandy could tell I'm Hard on my nails so she did solar and shellac while meticulously making sure every nail was perfect. I felt in good hands the minute I walked through the door and honestly knew that this woman is a seasoned professional from the glance of her appointment book crammed with reservations for the whole week. She also managed to wax my brows and lip perfectly in less than 2 minutes at the end. Love this place, I followed them from their other location. However today my daughter and I went in for a pedi and we waiting for 30 minutes. They sat us in the chair. The guy finished on the lady next to me and moved onto 3 other women. At the 30min mark I asked how much longer and he said it would be another 10-15 minutes. His excuse was that they were here before me. But I watched these 3 ladies walk in and sit down after my daughter and I sat for the first 15 minutes. Another girl was also told to sit down and they'd be right with her and 30 minutes later he did the same with her. I came in today and had them sanded down and straightened out by Teo - and he did a phenomenal job, just the way I like them. They are much thinner, straighter and the polish isn't sloppy like it was before. Not sure who the girl was who did them first, but I am asking for Teo from now on, he is very meticulous and particular, and made sure my nails were done precisely as I liked them. I am giving this place 5 stars now, since the customer service was great, they made it right, and Teo was excellent. read more

I went there for a full set of acrylic nails ($30.00) posted at the front desk. The tech took me right away and started my nails. A few moments later he said the price would be $45.00. He said it like a joke, and I laughed and thought he was just being funny. Then every few minutes he said 45.00 for nails and they will last me 30 days.. I thought he was still joking.. anyways, 20 min later I got the bill for $45.00. Needless to say I gave him a poor tip and won't be returning. If the price is $45.00 then post it as that. My nails were not completely covered on the sides and the way he glued the acrylic nails on there is a lift on every single one. I won't be going back. A week later I had to get them redone and it will just take time to get the lift out of them as my nails grow longer. read more
