MSY have been open for a few years now. I've been coming to this store for about three years, but…read moreI've been to some of the other stores too. This is the closest one to me, but I've found they're all much of a muchness. Five stars is a big call. There are some very big caveats to that rating, though. The first is that you absolutely must know what you're shopping for. Don't turn up and expect demonstration stock and staff showing you stuff. This isn't Harvey Norman. If you've got no idea about computer hardware, either take someone that does know (and presumably will be putting your computer together for you), or don't go. The second major caveat is that customer service is generally pretty poor. It's gotten better, but it's still not that crash hot. In the old days, you'd turn up, probably with their price list printed off, line up, ask for your parts, pay and leave. I went in yesterday and they'd changed it. You now walk through the shop, pick up what you want and then go and pay for it. I think it's more crucial now that you have that price list with you than it was before, because you're picking the parts yourself, and you need to know what the packaging looks like. So why five stars, after all that? Price. It's probably the cheapest place to pick up computer hardware in Australia. It's so cheap that I'm pretty sure this place is almost singlehandedly responsible for the death of computer swap meets. I've put together a few systems with stuff from here. Haven't had to return anything yet.

MSY consists of walking in and either A. Finding your computer parts (not labelled with prices, though a 'Parts Guide' is supplied both online and in-store with ALL the items they sell and the prices. Some might not like this, but it makes it VERY easy to compare prices quickly between parts!), taking them to the counter and paying. B. Going to the counter and requesting the items which the staff have behind them. The main issue is customer service. They don't seem to be fans of answering phone calls to inquire about availability of products, and often when I go to the store I find the items I'm after are sold out. Luckily they always have alternatives at only a couple of dollars more, but it can be frustrating. As every other review has also said, DO NOT go asking questions here! Some staff are helpful and might answer a quick question (One asked if the amount of RAM was supported by my Motherboard, making sure I don't waste my money buying too much), but most are there just to take your money and keep things going quickly, which a lot of the customers would really appreciate. However, you can look past any issues with the store because of the prices! There is nowhere better in Australia to buy parts for low prices, that's for sure!

The Robot, Al, Computer is in Control and the human assistants are beholden to the Computer even…read morewhen they know the Computer has made a mistake & then accentuate the problem that the computer is wrong but they can't correct the Computer error & lve been lied to & told by a human agent to go in store to pick up a SIM, 3 times the Shop assistants didn't know what I was talking about & surprise, suprise either did the team who sent me 3 times from various locations when l received the call. I didn't have a Mobile SIM for 3 months because the Computer didn't recognise myself for its diabolical take over of my Sanity and then the WORLD. 3 months without contact with family or anyone including personal business unless I found a working non pay phone which works. The store manager after 3 months was in the store. I wasn't going in but going food shopping l glanced & seen a assistant l hadn't seen before so talked to him. As l mentioned lm sure he was the Manager & after telling him about the computer, my PayPal payment & also the Computer wouldn't recognise my ID & l made sure it was everything l opened the account with & to top it off VODAFONE sent 3 monthly payments worth $350ish with late fees. I actually laughed because l didn't have a SIM so The store manager couldn't believe it & he meant the apologie because it was VODAFONE who continue to break the contract between us. They said l am a valued customer & seeing l have been with them for 7 plus years & was late for a monthly payment at Christmas & when l seen it instead of family l paid the bill within a day or so. Its my only blemish so they didn't give me a late fee. A blemishless account & l get treated like this as a valuable customer l can imagine a always late male being GELDED & l wont comment on the Ladies. The service who are our Guardians of such deeds from providers will like every public service find Nothing because they don't LOOKY So my rights are as usual, no rights & the Power's that should but don't will do nothing allowing other People to be treated like a PLEB, l love Democracy but this isn't what we envisaged or what was meant by America's Founders. Look what a great job protecting America and us it seems the Constitution and the Bill of (human not robot) Rights. They are being used as dunny paper as was the bills VODAFONE spent & that is Metaphor. Oh well the Umpires will call a draw & they can continue happily screening other customers. Oh well when they call a draw l Will then play the recording l took when this started because people believe it or not people lie & shock horror so are ROBOTS especially when a boofhead human assistant puts in the wrong program instead of the right program or is the Terminators risings Im buying a mobile & there a company that sells you a SIM at 10 dollars a month top up with 32 GB of Data which is INSANE. I can't remember the name at the moment but if in aus its easy to find & they are human beings. The Rating is around 4.8/ 5 & & its growing exponentially. I won't payout the contract & even if you do when you get your mobile number back you can't use any product, laptops, mobile & lm not sure on other communication devices but that is terrible practice & if it's in the million letter contract l didn't read it because I can hardly see as it is & its impossible to read for me & if there is lm unaware of it. Take care everyone l will let this go when I let Vodafone go
