This is the worst apple store. Its used to be good, for years they had great customer service, great people, fair and reasonable warranty repair policies. Now though they have a new store manager and getting help of any kind that doesn't cost you money is nigh impossible. I purchased a iPad pro for my daughter and within 2 months the power lead broke. So naturally I took the lead into the store to get it replaced as we had only purchased a short time ago, had also purchased apple care so expected it to be a simple swap. Boy was I wrong. Not only did they insist I make an appointment to get the lead assessed, they then made the assumption that I had damaged the lead myself somehow and as such they wouldn't replace it and that I would have to buy a new one. Now you may think, so what, its $29, buy a new lead a move on. But you know what, no, this is bullshit. I have supported apple for over 25 years and this moron manager was willing to loose my loyal custom over a lead that even under consumer law they should have covered. I mean the lead would cost them 10c max to manufacture. It's not as if they are made to last, they are made to break. There are entire industries based around trying to prevent them from breaking. Heres what you do apple. Firstly fire the manager at this place he has no concept of what apple is suppose to stand for or why apple stores even exist. Secondly you guys should have bowls of leads ready give out for free for anyone who's lead breaks. Do you want the device to be operational or not? They have already paid for them 200 fold when they purchase your inflated products anyway. Or how about this, redesign the lead so it doesn't break anymore so easily. There were even broken leads in the store that I pointed out to the manager and he said yeah people use them wrong here sometimes. I mean it doesn't take a genius to work out if this is such a common problem that people have made product to add to your leads to prevent it from happening that maybe there is an inherent flaw in the lead. The store manager said that the device isn't designed to be used while charging. I mean what the. If the battery doesn't last a full day it really should be designed to be used while charging. Here is the solution. It's pretty simple, look up right angle lightning cable. There it is pretty simple. Anyway after my last experience at this store I'm done with apple. So done. A trillion dollar company arguing over the legitimacy of a warranty claim on a 2 month old lead. Really, you need to do that? You guys have lost your way and have just become like every other company. You haven't innovated in anyway since Steve Jobs died anyway. So now I'm done with you over a lead. a simple inexpensive lead. I've given away my iPhone and my apple watch and have gone to Samsung. Hopefully they aren't as petty as Apple has become. read more
