We had a family crisis this week in which my husband's iPhone was lost. We needed an immediate solution as we feared its data could be compromised even though it had a passcode. Between the Apple Store and the Verizon Store, both conveniently located in the same shopping center, we went about handling it ASAP. I chose Verizon first and as we had had Brunch earlier at Alpine Modern, also in the same location and where it was lost. I immediately walked across the lot to Verizon to shut off its usable connection as it is on my account. When that was successful, and we purchased a new phone, something he was to need soon anyway, we went to Apple next to have it physically locked so if it had been found then stolen, it could not be reused. Apple was very helpful in setting this all up for us. We went home satisfied that our line was protected too. Apple has provided us much help over the years and so has Verizon. In person, works best for us and nice they are both close by. In the morning we went back to the cafe to try one more time as Apple had told us that the phone was still pinging at the cafe location. The cafe had closed by the time we got to Apple the day before but we had gone in twice ourselves to look for it after discovering it missing. And no one had turned it in. First thing in the morning we tried the cafe again and yes their cleaning crew had found it the night before as it had slid under something we could not check when looking ourselves. Apple had told us if found, we could still get a trade in value paid out even though we had already bought the new phone earlier from Verizon. We went back to Apple with the phone, they unlocked it to credit as trade and issued us a gift card to our Apple account for its trade in value. Both of these large companies can help customers and for some, in person, at these Boulder locations, with well trained staff, is the efficient way to go. This was an awkward way to trade up a phone but in the end, we were able to get what we needed from both companies. I appreciate having them here in Boulder and so lucky to be able to walk between them and also near a tasty and responsible cafe, Alpine Modern's Twenty Ninth St location. read more

Nice selection of equipment. Numerous employees more than customers. Too bad they turn customers away for making them wait more than a half hour while they chat in groups ignoring the customers who are serious about purchasing equipment. I noticed some potential purchasers were correcting the agents for lack of agent's knowledge on example: Watch Bands Sizes. They walk away from customers making themselves look busy but chatting in groups. A waste of 2.5 hours of my time. Today they lost two customers who wanted to purchase iPhones and Laptops. After waiting a minimum of 20 minutes with no help, customers leave. Although they send someone around saying someone will help you within 20 minute. It gets old hearing that. read more

Was given a 2 hour window for delivery. Driver parked 2 blocks over and told my son to walk the 2 blocks, as he was parked. THEN driver Lee CANCELLED THE ORDER! Genuinely may stop buying Apple products anywhere other than Costco. Or may stop buying Apple products if this is what it means to have to get service. I have had several issues, not only with Apple, but specifically this store. About two years ago, me and my fiancé brought his phone in which mysteriously would only show the Apple sign on the phone and the best that the Apple tech technician could tell us was that it was some bug that made it so the phone was rendered utterly useless if you updated it and it lost Wi-Fi connection . Brand new iPhone we had to spend another $1200 for a new phone because of some bug. Then last summer I brought in my AirPod maxes because they would no longer charge. They were still working when I brought them in and said that they would need to ship them in for further diagnostics. It cost me more than the headphones were probably worth at the time, but I did it because the technician Recommended that I do so. About $100 later they tell me that my headphones are unfixable and they ship them back to me and they are completely broken like the earmuffs fell off of the headband part. They were in worse condition when I got them back. I tried to rectify the issue and they offered me no assistance. Third time's a charm right? I took my work laptop in for a MagSafe charging issue in which my laptop had stopped working on two different magnetic chargers. I took it in, and once again, some random software issue that they were able to fix, but said they would replace my cord under warranty. They did not have one in store. (For context; I live 45 minutes away. This is the closest store to me.) I asked if they could ship me the cord, and they said, no, they could not, with no answer. Then that I would have to go back and pick it up in store. It's my work charger. I need it asap. So, I once again drive into the store TODAY to pick up the cord. I walk in and am told that to pick up the cord, they need my old one. Not ONCE was I told I would need to bring it in. I did not have it, and the man told me like I must have been an idiot that they wanted my charred, burnt out cord back for my new one that costs them next to nothing that I have now driven 45x3 times for. He would not do anything to help me and I left, yet again, with no resolution. I am now sitting on the phone with some AI crapshoot for assistance and it seems like they don't care about their employees issues or anything else. read more

The last time I wrote a review was the last time I attempted to go to the store to get help to no avail in 2021. We cancelled our small business contract after that interaction but I still had my personal computer. After my interaction today, 2025 - the first thing I'll do when I go to the office tomorrow is cancel $1 million+ in business with Apple when the current terms conclude at the end of this month. Apple, is this how you treat your most loyal customers? On 12/28/24, I purchased a $5,192.96 MacBook Pro under order W1372067234. As part of my order, I selected Final Cut Pro for $299.99 because your website did not clarify that an existing license could be used. Upon receiving the MacBook, I realized this and immediately contacted Apple to request a refund for the software I don't need. Initially, I was told via chat that my refund would be processed. But today, I received a generic email asking me to call Apple. After being transferred repeatedly, I was told my refund request was rejected. Let me break this down for you: * I've been a loyal Apple customer for over 20 years, spending more than $250,000 on products for myself and my business. * Rejecting a simple refund request for $299.99 risks alienating a high-value customer over what is, in the grand scheme of things, a small amount for Apple. * If I were to return the entire MacBook and repurchase the same model, this would increase your costs and completely contradict your environmental sustainability goals. This is not just about $299.99. It's about trust, loyalty, and customer care. I expect better from Apple, a company I have long respected and supported. The Boulder Apple Store is an awful place these days, full of condescending "Genius Bar" employees who simply don't listen to customers. I have been trying to fix an email app problem on my MacBook, even to the point of spending $1500 Friday on a new MacBook Air. When I picked it up Sunday (June 1), I tested it out to make sure it was working properly. The exact same email problems popped up immediately on the new machine, and the floor manager and staff simply refused to address it, telling me to come back k in 24 hours. The employees provide generally useless advice, then make one feel like an idiot when their insufficient instructions don't work, and they don't seem particularly interested in listening to a customer's full explanation of the problem. At this point I'm just hoping I can get a refund of my $1500. read more

Why does a salesperson only last for 15 minutes and then walk away without letting me know? Why does it take five different people to sell me an iPhone? I ordered a new computer online through the Apple Store and set a pick up appointment for the same day. I was notified both by text and email my computer was ready for pick up nearly 2 hours early. I arrived on time and was immediately greeted and introduced to the Apple Genius who would take care of me. He asked if I had any questions and I asked a couple. He answered succinctly and assisted me in selecting a cable adapter. I was thoroughly satisfied and as we talked my computer was brought to us. From the time I came in to the time I walked out with my new Mac was less than 10 minutes and there was no sales pressure to get additional hardware. read more

When I go to the apple store, I know what I want and I just buy it and leave. Customer service is not something I'm really concerned about when I go to the apple store. With that being said, the little expectation I had was somehow not met. I interacted with maybe 3 employees there and they all seemed annoyed I was there and none of them had a clear answer on any of my questions. My refund amount and monthly payments did not make sense due to it not adding up and I was given a clearly B.S. answer. No "let me find out for you" or "I'm not sure but here's where you can get your answer", just a guess that did not make sense and was clearly given to get me out the door. I would recommend driving a few extra miles to not deal with that kind of treatment. read more

I love Apple store Geniusses, mainly because they are so technically foucused that they often neglect to sell you anything. Perfect!? Yes, mostly. First Genius takes my name, and politely asks that I wait for Genius #2 to arrive. When he does, he listens to my Story of Woe (ring on/off switch is stuck in off), and runs a dignostic that finds my battery sucks. I suggest they change the battery while fixing the switch. He apologises, explaining that Apple will charge about $50.00 for battery and installation and also take about an hour! I sign up for new battery, and ask if they could also install a new screen protector. "Yes, but you will have to buy it, then we will install it," was the reply. Rather than explain that, yes, OBVIOUSLY, I just will not drop my phone. read more

Missing SIM card Apple was crazy fast repairing the iPhone and sending it back. The stumper is they kept the SIM card. I called them to ask for it back and they said they do not have it. They will not replace it. My carrier said they will reimburse me for the cost of the card $10. read more

Paranoid about keeping my new phone safe I decided to hop in before the lunch rush to have a screen protector installed. I checked in with the greeters and in less than a minute I was being helped by a super kind young gentlemen (he has a dark pony tail though his name has escaped me). He executed my phone protector in no time and was happy to answer all my questions regarding the process. I expressed dissatisfaction with the phone case I purchased at the Flatirons Mall Apple Store (nice to look at, slippery to hold) and he was so kind and understanding. We walked through the other cases available and he provided me with his honest opinions of each model. I opted to go with the same case he used (otter box brand with clear back and paint splattered sides). I was surprised and delighted that he was able to not only look up my receipt via my credit card but also issue me an exchange (even tho I'd left the receipt at home). This visit blew me away and reminded me about all the reasons why I prefer I get my new phones here in-store rather than through my cell phone provider. read more

This is the worst customer service that I have received in 20 years. The manager (Megan) is in dire need of training so is her little puppet (Adrian). I was shocked on how little managerial training this lady has and how inept she was. She should not be a manager. She ethnically profiled me and told me this is not the way it is done "in this country" because I have an accent. She then proceeded to have me wait for a long time "while tending to others". Please someone, give her some "customer" training. I am in the HR department and if we ever act like Megan did toward the customers, we would be fired. read more

My laptop battery exploded, and brought it in for warranty work. That was trip #1. They kept it for 4-5 days and got a call when it was done. I came in a 2nd time to pick up the laptop, and waited about an hour. When I got home, I noticed that they had replaced the keyboard, but now have two "K" keys and no "L" key.... I called them again to set up a time to get this fixed. I brought it in a 3rd time, and waited over an hour. Over the phone they said they had the parts to fix in 15 minutes. After coming in AGAIN, said they would need the computer for another few days, but no guarantee that they had the parts. Basically, I now have a keyboard with two "K's" otherwise I'd have to take off another day of work and numerous miles of driving. WTF! Get it together Apple!!!!! Never been so frustrated and dissatisfied with a product AND service. With all these tech wennie "geniuses" on staff, I would think this would be a simple fix. When you're trying to run multiple companies, you can't have your computer in the shop for weeks!! As highly rated as Apple products are, I think they're about due for a quality control audit. read more

I go in here occasionally for service at the Genius Bar (most of my shopping is at the Flatiron Crossing store, which is the same distance from my house but easier to get to). Apple routed me to this store this time for diagnosis on a cranky iMac; D'Andre helped me and is very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. He ran some hardware diagnostics, which showed no problems, so he is confident that it is a software issue and I'll work on that next. read more

Tried several times to resolve the issue online. They were not able to do so. Took four tries on line to get an appointment with the "Genius Bar". Finally walked in yesterday was told there were no appointments left but I should be there at exactly 11 AM tomorrow, Sunday to be sure that I got an appointment right away. I got there a few minutes before 11 and the store was already open and they were already filling up appointments. They told me that I had a 20 minute wait, I went and got a cup of coffee and came back in 10 minutes. They had already called me earlier than they said, and then moved my appointment. Another 40 minutes forward. Absolutely ridiculous. Able to wait that long, issue still unresolved. read more

This is by far the best, most customer-oriented store in the Denver area. I have always received prompt and above-and-beyond service here, whether I had an issue with my iPhone or laptop. Incidentally, people who complain about a) not getting Apple warranty replacement for an aftermarket power supply (Yes, real Apple ones DO have an apple logo on the side); b) long wait times for the Genius bar when they don't make an advance reservation; or c) vague situations that the customer thinks should be covered by warranty but then takes to Yelp to disparage the employees who have the unfortunate luck of having to deal with you; All of the above just mystify me. Entitled cry babies. If you crunch your phone under a boulder or whatever, it's not covered. Accept it, and move on. If you had a real case, they would have gladly helped you. read more

Usually this store has friendly people in it. I cracked my phone and I needed it fixed. I talked to an associate and he said that it would be 15 minutes till I could give them my info and my phone. About 5 minutes later he came up to us and said that it was actually going to be an hour. He then said we could make an appointment tomorrow when the technician was back. We asked if we could put in our info and leave it overnight. He said that that was against policy. He was extremely rude to us. There was other apple workers in the store messing around with each other. I've never had this bad of service at this store. I'll be going back to fix my phone but that is probably the last time I'll ever set foot in this horrible store with horrible people. read more

This store is always very responsive and supportive. They're my go-to Apple Store. I have yet to have a bad experience here. That being said, they are a very, very busy store. I suspect this is in no small part because they are the closest Apple Store for everyone north of Boulder. While the employees at this branch manage how busy they are fairly well, I think Apple should consider putting in a store in the Fort Collins, CO area. People from there, Greeley, Loveland, and Cheyenne would then have a much closer store, making the experience better for the customers up north and simultaneously making it so the Boulder employees can devote more time to each customer and provide a better experience more reliably. I brought in my old MacBook for repair, the genius bar informed me that the repair would cost a flat rate of $100. It may cost more, and they informed me that they would tell me if it did. When I went in to get my repaired MacBook they tried to charge me $1000 for it. They never told me that it was going to cost that much. Needless to say I didn't take it back. I have had a few frustrating experiences with this Apple store in the past month and I would encourage anyone who needs assistance with their Apple products to go to a different store or try online. My new iPhone's data stopped working because of a factory problem. I brought it in, they gave me a loaner phone, and told me they would fix it and it would be ready in a week free of charge. After a week they called me to say they had not fixed it and they still needed proof of purchase of my original. So I made an appointment, brought in proof of purchase, and the loaner phone, hoping that they would start the process to fix it. Then, they charged me $130 for a scratch on the surface of the loaner phone. It was literally a scratch that I did not notice, and it had been in a case the entire time, but they were not convinced. Then, they decided to just replace my phone rather than fix the old one. This is at least two weeks after I had initially brought it in. So, all in all, I didn't need to get a loaner phone, but they gave me a loaner phone for no purpose. Then they charged me $130 for a scratch I didn't even notice, for a phone I didn't need. Not to mention the fact that my phone was originally broken because of their software's defect. I would have appreciated a little more helpfulness, explanation, and consistency in what was needed for repairs. Another time recently, I brought in broken headphones which I had bought for $30 a month prior, and I asked for a replacement. The customer service representative told me it wouldn't be covered by the warranty. I tried to explain that I had JUST bought them, they're not cheap, and that I didn't do anything to break them. But she kept trying to get me to buy new ones. I said No, left, and called Apple on the phone, when one of the customer service reps looked at my recent purchase and offered to send me replacement headphones. I never write customer reviews but I am getting increasingly frustrated with the customer service at this store and would recommend going elsewhere, especially because I found calling apple on the phone was much more helpful. read more

My folks (85 yrs old) both got airpods for Christmas. Between a shared apple-id and a iphone6 phones (which are not fully compatible with airpods), they had multiple setup issues. After a false start we were assigned to David who may be the most patient person alive. He helped my folks get everything setup so they can use their airpods and get some more life out of their phones. Apple is good, David was great. read more

Brought in my laptop because the battery was expanding and breaking the case. I made an appointment online and was seen right away when I got there. Everyone I encountered was super friendly. They said they would have to ship it out to their repair facility and would take like a week to get it back. Actually ended up only taking like maybe 3 days. Everything looks like it was fixed properly, even got a new case on it. Also I don't think my laptop was under warranty anymore but they did cover the repair, I think it may have been a recall or something. Regardless happy apple stood behind their product and my experience at this apple store was great from start to finish. read more

I want to like this store, but I've had 3 out of 3 visits leaving dissatisfied. I don't think it's up to the usual Apple standards. I may be heading to a Denver location. I don't get it. They really do the minimum, no suggestions, no interest. They try, but I'm not getting that they are into it. I bought a desktop, a big purchase. My MacBook Pro was not fully functioning but one Rec urged me to resell and said I would get a certain amount. He was wrong and what a hassle, not worth the effort. Next trip was a phone issue, the headphone jack magically was the problem even though I never used it. And there was no solution offered. I left not satisfied, and the went back to talk to the manager. I bought the phone 3 years ago, so nothing they can do. But not selling me on anything about a new phone. And not checking for other possibilities of what could be wrong. Maybe they are right, but the speaker works. I just can't hear the calls up to my ear. Frustrating, and I'm one of those customers that drank the cool aid-everything I own is apple. read more

Sort of a mixed bag here. The coronavirus changes are definitely weird. But, they've made it very easy to come in for purchases. If you need to return something, it's kinda like "good luck." The team seems poorly organized. The greeter guy seemed just kinda pissed that I had even shown up. He had a system in his head, of corporate terminology for different types of checkins he could do. He was pissed when I didn't know his internal phrases. I dunno. Overall most of the people in the store were nice. But this isn't the best Apple store I've been to and I think Apple's coronavirus changes are more in the interest of their business than they are in the interest of keeping people safe and helping customers.
