Ordered a steak rare. The steak came out grey All the way through. Sent it back. The next steak was reddish On the inside yet still grey on the outside like it was microwaved. No color at all from a grill. I sent it back and only ate a salad. Won't be back. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had at any of their locations. I always get a ribeye and this one came with absolutely no flavor or spice of any kind. My dad and I ordered the exact same thing but his was flavor-filled tender and delicious as is the typical experience. I wish I could show a photo to show the extreme difference. I went to Applebee's in Andover and the food was pretty good I had a crispy chicken salad and it seemed really good but the only thing that bothers me was I had kind of got sticky on the table so I took out my hand sanitizer and a napkin because I figured I'd just washed down the table. And that was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in my life I even took a picture of it I even left napkin on the table thinking a manager or somebody would come by to see it but when I wipe the table down you could see my whole handprint and it was just covered with filth that came off that table so it kind of makes me wonder if the tables are that nasty then how nasty is the kitchen. Which is bad because Applebee's is always been a fairly good place to eat so I may have to start rethinking where I eat at Applebee's if they're not going to take better care of their tables. read more

I always go to Applebee's when on the road for work as they have some good healthy food options and of course some good beers on tap. This one was no exception I ordered salmon with broccoli which is my favorite and it was perfect, that's why I come to Applebee's as they are very consistent for the most part. This Applebee's is understaffed and horribly slow. Every time we order takeout, it takes an hour to get our food. We wait 30 minutes before going, then sit in the To Go stall for another 30 minutes. Nobody acknowledges you. You go inside to inquire and the few staff they have working are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Nobody knows what is going on. 50% of the time they get our order wrong. So frustrating. This location is poorly managed and it's reflected in their service. read more

Applebees in general isn't very good. But this was especially bad. We were told the bartender was a no call no show but that the drinks would still be good. So we ordered, and then proceeded to watch a very confused employee struggle to find out how to make our cocktails. Our waiter came over and informed us that they didn't have enough of the alcohol to make one of the drinks. So instead we just ordered a shot. Then that same employees struggled for a long time to make a shot of patron. She looked very confused. 10 minutes later our waiter came back and said they were still working on it. And eventually we just canceled the order for it. The waitress then brought us our ticket even though we said we were going to order some more food. Loved Applebee's today, nothing against them at all. Did have an awful experience due to another customer, who decided our very real, professionally trained service dogs were fake and followed us out to our car to confront us, but Applebee's staff handled everything well and respected us and our dogs. Appreciate this and their kindness after everything, food was great, wish we had a better experience to share with the incredible food and service! We talked to management on the phone and they were very kind and respectful to us over the phone and afterwords. read more

I had just about given up on this place! We stopped in and I had very low expectations, as that had been pretty standard for the last 6 to 8 months. We had a great server, I must say that this young lady went out of her way to take care of us, but the food was typical, it seems the level of quality has been lowered a bit, as some of the standards are not available any longer. If you are looking for a steak and want anything other than sirloin, you're outta luck. If you're hungry and just looking for some grub, it's probably going to meet your needs. If you're looking for a great meal, I'd probably look @ something else. Unfortunately, if you do eat there, you're going to pay the price of a great meal anyway, so your choice. read more

I am thrilled to have Applebee's open back up under the ownership of Thrive Restaurant Group. We went after they were only open a week and know it is difficult to get in a good rhythm. All in all they did a great job and we will be back. We had the 2 for $27. The appetizer was onion rings and there was plenty for five of us to have two or three a piece. The ribs were excellent-juicy and flavorful. Green beans were the best I have had. Thanks Thrive for reopening our Applebee's. read more

Carside Orderers Beware! I realize this restaurant recently reopened,but they are having major problems. 1.) Applebee's Order Online app wasn't working. 2.) Put on hold three times when I called in the order. 3.).When we arrived to pick-up order, the had no order for us. Apparently the "call center" took our order but didn't bother to send it to the restaurant. Carside to Go employee was great. Mediocre manager apologized, but offered no compensation for our inconvenience. This was a $60 order. 4.) We resubmitted the order. They told us they were putting a rush on it. Yea right! Needless to say we left to pick up the order at 6:30 (7 min. drive to restaurant) and we walked back in the door with the food at 7:55. Still no compensation for the terrible service from manager. 5.). Then to top it all off, the order was incomplete. We had a salad missing from the order when we got home. 6.). Food was good, but getting it was a dreadful experience. Won't be going back there for a good long while IF EVER! read more

My family and I love this Applebee's. The staff is friendly from the time we arrive all the way through to our departure. Great servers that are very attentive and friendly. I just don't enjoy it...All the nice people got fired. So, food is okay but so much nasty kiddo type of environment with insults and loudly rude discussions between employees, yuck.Ate whole meal without a water last time...This spot has too many drunk Millennial brat customers and workers to really enjoy it any more. Seen fewer and fewer adults. It's just an insult match with customer/employee back and forth and not a nice environment any more for family dinner or adult date night. Boeing employees' rich brat kids just don't make good employees.... I hear the old bar at 13th and Andover Road called Timbuktu Bar & Grill has some good reviews. This Applebee's is probably the best one that I have ever dined in. I went there for Veteran's day and had one of the best meals ever and it was all on the house. I was treated to a delicious meal from a special veteran's menu that they offered. We were also treated to a $5 gift card for later. Applebee's knows how to honor veteran's and this one will be back for more great food and service. Haven't eaten,or had take-out food, for over a year. So this evening,mew ordered the Salmon dinner, with vegetables. We didn't make any substitutions, just what we could see on your on line menu. After picking it up, $13.99 for the one item, drove home and found, over cooked ? Greens, and potatoes that had dark/black abnormal marks. Spinach was so wilted, it fell apart, and was inedible-gross. Definitely NOT worth even $5.00, what the salmon would've cost, from the grocery store. Love Applebee's great restaurant, food is priced right....but Andovers location is suffering with the weak management...they may need to change some of their service protocol too. We like to dine at the bar, but tend to always get this one bartender/ waitress with the small bullring in her nose and tattoos she is quite rude and in your face... she treats you like your wasting her time... but she blames her rudeness on being from New York. She will never ask you how you are, or offer any service to you.... so if you need anything - she responds to those that say, Hey can you get me this or that! We know now how to order and feel bad about our experience, but come for the food. read more

I own a local business nearby. We order food from there 4-6 times a month. We ask them to leave things out of the meals. I'm not one to complain but the order is consistently messed up. I used to drive back to work but now I check it before I leave. It's getting ridiculous. All it takes is s little attention to detail. We travel all over the country. We've eaten at many Applebee's. This is the worst one we've ever been in. We noticed that there were only a couple of cars in the parking lot when we pulled in, but we put it down to the fact that it was after lunchtime. We sat at the bar. The bartender, Brian, seemed to be either bored or angry at something and was not interested in serving the customers. When he brought our drinks, he just put them down in front of us, no coaster, and asked if we wanted menus. We said yes, and he plopped them in front of us and walked away. When our food came, he didn't give us utensils. Fortunately, there was a bucket with utensils wrapped in napkins on the bar. We got them ourselves. We were planning on having a late lunch-early dinner there. But after the way we were treated, we decided to leave after just having appetizers. We just got up and walked out of here! Both of us ordered the brunch burger. It came out with the cheese BURNT, the fries were cold. This was all after waiting for 45 minutes. Right now, Applebee's has bucket's of beer for only $9.99 which means it's only like $2 a bottle. Also, they have patron perfect margarita's for only $.50 more than the house. Patron is really pricey, so this is an AWESOME deal. Those drinks go great with half price hot wings or queso blanco after nine. Also, the service is amazing...if I do say so myself. Make sure to leave them great tips, they only make $2.13 an hour without. Your glasses will never go empty and your extra ranch will be out in a jiffy! Even if you are a bad tipper, Applebee's servers know what's up and you'll still get treated wonderfully! Also, every kid gets a personalized sticker and balloon! They put kids first. read more

Since moving to Andover I have eaten here two times and attempted once more. The trend I have noticed is that the service is attrocious at this place, food takes forever to come out, and the staff (hostess, waitress, managers) always have a lame excuse. The first two times we stayed the course even though it took 2 hrs from sitting down to paying our check. The food was good but it just doesnt taste as good when you wait over an hour to get it. The third time (8/3/13) we decided to go early at 4:30pm to beat the Saturday night crowd. The place was only about 1/3 full and we were seated immediately. After 10 minutes and no server I flagged down a hostesss and asked where our server was at and also ordered some water. After another five minutes our water had not arrived yet and our waitress had never even come into our section. Matter of fact I didnt see any waitress in our section. We got up, let the manager know how unhappy we were and left. As I was driving off I saw two waitresses outside on a smoke break. Most likely one of them was mine. This place is so poorly managed and run I cannot understand how they stay open. The managers need to put their foot up someone rear end and get the servers moving. If someone goes on break then there needs to be another employee covering that section. I should have to wait 15 minutes while you smoke a cigarrette. On the second visit the couple next to us asked why the table was so sticky. The managers response was "it is the varnish." Lame excuse, how about getting that fixed instead of expecting your customers to deal with it. This isnt a dive bar. That couple was alos informed they were out of mashed potatos and had their entire meail comped. Who runs out of mashed potatos at 5pm? Also, my inlaws like to joke that if you have 2 hrs of free time and want a free meal to go to the Andover Applebees. They rarely pay for their meal. read more
