It was Sunday night and we were searching for any non-fast-food restaurant still serving after 9pm. Most of the restaurants in the area shut down their kitchens by 9pm. We rushed to Applebee's shortly before 10pm hoping they served until 10. We discovered they serve until midnight...every night. We sat at the bar, ordered a beer, and were welcomed by a great bartender who's name we failed to obtain (shame on us because she was wonderful). She told us the specials, took our order, and refilled our drinks all while holding a friendly conversation with us despite a fairly busy crowd at the bar. We first tried the HALF-PRICED Queso Blanco which was warm, spicy, and delicious. Almost all their appetizers were half priced, so I think it cost us about $2.50 and was large enough to share for two. We then took her recommendation for the special $5 deluxe cheeseburger with fries. $5 !!!!! Awesome. We like to eat later than most, so Applebee's will be our new late night stop. read more

I recently visited Applebee's Grill + Bar, and I have to say--it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The service truly stood out, especially thanks to Eva, she was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests, and it made a big difference in our visit. I also want to recognize Carrie, who is clearly doing an incredible job leading her team. The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and had a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere. It's obvious that strong leadership is creating a great culture there. The food was exactly what you hope for--hot, fresh, and delicious--and the overall experience was memorable. It's rare to find a place where both service and management shine this brightly. We were greeted as soon as we arrived by a friendly young hostess & Manager. She brought us right to a table, and explained the specials. Our server was over quickly, to take our order. Our drinks came out quickly followed by our pickle fries. Yum, the pickle fries are so good. The manager brought our food out and it was hot and fresh. We loved seeing the manager all over the dining room helping the staff. The manager Carrie, even checked on our table. The entire staff was attentive but not annoying. From the moment we told her, she was incredibly knowledgeable and proactive. She double-checked every dish with the kitchen to ensure no cross-contamination with shellfish, and she was always happy to offer suggestions and modifications to the menu to suit my needs. Grand Haven Applebee's rocks! They would above and beyond and making a Miracle food delivery happen. Alexa answered the call and boy did she follow through. Stuck at work, hungry and unable to have delivery because there's not a physical address at my job. Even though everybody knows where the building is at. She graciously agreed to make that delivery which was only a block away. But I am ever so thankful and grateful for the customer service I received from Alexa this day. My wife and I generally visit Applebee's of Grand Haven as that's one of the best places to go to great a great meal at a great price; especially during the summer with tourist season. Going anywhere else will cost you time in line and your pocket book. I get a burger and fries with a friendly smile all for under $10. read more

Applebees is always a consistantly good value. That said, this location has really great service. The management must be top knotch, every time we go the staff is really up beat. Even Coast Guard weekend we were seated and served pretty quick, and the staff never looked frazzled at the Holiday slam. read more
