Save your $ and go to Olive Garden or Chili's. I came because I've had good experiences with other locations in Wichita and Salina, and it was close to my hotel. Food was fine. Service and atmosphere were terrible. Music blaring with songs depicting sexual acts . 3 servers (including mine) sitting at the first table one sees upon entry, all staring at their phones. They all looked bored when at their tables. I had to ask for water 3 times and it finally arrived without a straw. No place for children. Perhaps I misunderstood this was to be a family-friendly place. If it is, that is a gross exaggeration. I don't know who the franchisee nor the manager is, but I certainly wish I had gone to any other franchise establishment than this. read more

we went here tonight in Hutchinson Ks. From the time we walked in there was a table of 5 people. 4 of the guys were drunk, all they did was swear! My husband spoke to the manager all the manager did was tell them to stop. But they kept it up there was elderly people and families with young children in there. Everyone on staff seemed to be covered in piercings and tatoos and most of them just looked dirty. The young "man" placed on food on the table with long pointed fake fingernails. Not many places to eat out in Hutchinson, but since I get off work late I go here after... anyways ive been here twice the first time with employees and they got mine and a coworkers order completely wrong had to get my steak taken back 3x and by the time I got it back everyone was finished... went the 2nd time and even mentioned to our sever what happen and the shit happened again....had to send my steak back twice and I swear I'm not picky at all but if i'm goin to pay a meal it better be right!! im always down for chances soooooo we'll see what hppens the 3rd time!! read more

Haven't been to an Applebee's for awhile, but traveling & too tired to research local offerings. Arrived about 6PM & noticed "Terrific Tuesday" (TT) offer of 4-5 entrees where 50% of charge would go to family's funeral expenses of wrestler from Dodge City. (Don't know if all Applebee's do this, but great community outreach effort) Seated next to a party of eight who'd ordered before us, but ordered beers so no issues. Andrew was our server & did great job. Beers came out fast but a bit of a wait for food. Andrew stopped by & said apologized on wait (burger & fries and grilled chicken Caesar salad, both from TT menu), so good on him. Manager stopped by a couple minutes later & said training a couple new cooks and offered to discount our meal. I've worked both sides (wait & kitchen) and said no need, everyone needed training & we're in no hurry to get back to hotel room. Food came out & bacon cheeseburger was an actual handmade patty (not some pre-formed & pressed mystery meat) with nicely crisped bacon. Fries seemed to be hand cut (not from 5# frozen package) and very tasty. Hubs salad was nicely 'dressed' not swimming in dressing, croutons crispy & garlic breadstick toasty. Impressed with food quality & attentive staff. If you want fast food, go to Arby's or McDonalds but stop by this Applebee's for good service & quality food. read more

Just left apple bees 5 minutes ago with a lackluster experience, even for Applebee's. We just went in to watch some of the ku game and get a couple drinks. Upon arrival there were open tables, but no hostess. We and the group in front of us waited about 10 minutes to get seated. Our waitress seemed nice and brought us waters. I ordered a Heineken Brutus and my date ordered a sangria. It was apparent the waitress wasn't really listening after she asked if we still needed time looking at the menu when we told her we were only ordering drinks. Also she came back after taking our order and asked what beer I had ordered. All of that is petty and doesn't really bother us. I'd also like to note it smelled rancid when we walked in. 30 minutes later we were still waiting for drinks and discussing leaving when the waitress noticed we still didn't have drinks. She let the bar know we were still waiting and they finally brought out our drinks. It appeared the drinks had been sitting for some time. Her sangria was watered down (not fresh) and had no fruit in it as the menu says. It was a poor excuse of a drink. My Heineken was brought in a bottle and not what I ordered. I told the waitress (different from the first) that it was not what I ordered so she took it back. The waitress returned and informed me that they did not have Heineken Brutus's. Would have been nice to know in the first place. So I took the bottle. The bottle had food littered on the side. What a joke. We left, went to the liquor store and went on our merry way home. So much for the experience... time better spent home. read more

Went to Applebee's last night, party of 7. Go in and there's maybe 15 20 customers tops, they told us it'd be a 15 minute wait. Right after we walk outside a party of 5 went in and was sat down right away! We waited 25 minutes outside in 95 temp with no shade and no one came out to tell us anything. The service always has been good which is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 2. The food here is incredibly average. It always tastes like something frozen that was thawed and heated on the grill. Not a fresh taste at all. I used to like their buffalo wings, but the last few times I've been there they have been very soggy and rubbery. Sat for 30 minutes just to get drinks ordered then another 10 minutes for the waitress Hannah to take only my id, which I was the only one at the table that was asked to hand my id but not the only one to have an alcoholic drink. Took another 10 minutes for us to get the food order in, which we were all ready to order when she had asked our drinks. The waitress Hannah also walked off in the middle of us ordering and did not take down what sides we wanted with our meal. Absolute horrible service. It's a chain. This place raises their prices and makes the portions smaller. You will pay 15.00 for a steak a potato and an ice tea. Anywhere else you will get a salad and some good bread along with your meal. The service is almost always slows. Have had under cooked food many times. They seem to not train the staff to do anything but take orders and check back once. Why can't a restaurant offer an appetizers that is a small portion for under 5 bucks. It's an appetizer not a meal. UP have a few bites while waiting on your meal. If it costs 8 bucks it's a meal. .?????? read more

Used online app to order and it gave me a time of 6:45pm pick up. I went at 6:50. They did not seem very busy for a Friday(no one waiting to be seated). The server at the pickup desk was flustered and hurried to cash me out. I stood and waited. The server brought me the wrong order. After showing her that she put it on a shelf behind her and went around the corner to ask the kitchen about my order. The female kitchen manager cussed her out and said my order could wait. The server had to get a manager to sort things out and finally deliver my food. I got my food at 7:35. The manager gave me $10 off my next meal, but honestly with all the other options in town I probably won't go back. read more

took my wife out for dinner at Applebee's I always get the bourbon steak. Tonight was the same however the meat was terrible it was full of fat, and very hard to eat. I asked the waiter and he said they had changed the type of steak they were using. We spent almost $40.00 I was very disappointed. The manager never came around to ask if everything was ok. I can't began to count the number of times we have eaten there. But this was the worst meal I have ever had. No one seemed to care. This might the last time for us. read more
