This Applebees has literally changed my opinion about Applebees and how they should be ran! I have only ever given out 1 other 5 star review on yelp and this rating was definitely earned for my dining experience! My service was fast, accurate and all the staff and the manager on duty (I think her name was Adriana or something) were all very helpful. The food I ordered was very delicious and really hit the spot for what I was hankering for! I would recommend this Applebees to all my friends and relatives out in Toole. This restaurant is poorly run. Go elsewhere. The wait staff is okay. They are not well trained though. The kitchen management should be fired. The food is served with no pride in appearance. I have been there several times and usually there is something burned or not fresh, such as burned hamburgers or fries that were sitting out. This is one of the few "bars" in Tooele. I think they ride on that rather than serve good food. Unfortunately, the drinks (liquor based) are watered down and overpriced. But, that is typical for Utah. Applebees should be ashamed of this place. The people of Tooele deserve better. Get better value for your money. Go to Denny's, Wingers or Apollo burger! read more

My husband and I went out to eat for our afternoon dinner and had a terrible experience.....first off,the waitress was weird,let me explain,I was telling her my order and she acted like she didn't understand what I wanted and I think her brain was in outer space.....secondly when they brought the food out,our appetizer,spinach broccoli soup was burned and my fries were cold,my husband's baked potato was not loaded with hardly no bacon on it....of course they screwed up the temperature of his steak also.......overall it was a terrible eat out experience and we will never eat at this Applebee's again.....7-11-18 2 thumbs down for this read more

I keep giving this place chances, new management, updated menu blah blah. This place still consistently disappoints. The server looks as if they are trying to not make eye contact, have to go to the kitchen to ask for something. Their burgers have onions and bacon apparently seared into the meat, so asked for a regular burger without the onions. Apparently this was to much to ask. We were running out of room on our table from the appetizer plates not being picked up. Jesus I sound like a bitch, but it's so frustrating eating at this place. So after many years since the last time I visited this Applebee's, (because of the horrible experience). I decided to try the place again. I wasn't impressed to say the least. The place was decently clean, service was okay, Advise to the front staff from someone who has worked the food service. ( Your attitude and how you present yourself will set the tone for the rest of the customer's experience). At least the waitress was tentative and pleasant. That's the reason for the three stars. Because the service was non existent the last experience. The portions have definitely shrunk, (probably to cut costs). The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. In fact, not to brag but I could cook a better steak then what I had. Well really anyone who knows their way around a BBQ could have cooked a better steak. I couldn't say whether I would recommend this place to anyone, and if I would return. There are definitely better places for sure, even if driving to SLC is necessary. read more

Server was sweet but clearly in the wrong line of work. Forgot our drinks, particularly the bar order twice. Not attentive. Other patrons were also having issues. One family sat for an hour and their food order did not even get put in. Another family paid for someone else table. Manager was trying his best to fix things. read more

It is the worst Applebee's I've been to. They were doing karaoke in the restaurant while we were eating. So dang loud!!! Can't even chat with friends sitting next to me. The medium cooked steak is also BURNED! Wow, if I can find other restaurant open, I will definitely not go there! The Waiter Tyler has to be a simpleton or maybe scored "dullard" on Any IQ Test. And these BS rules about 3 drinks per hour is complete garbage. The Bartender refused to listen to Tyler's multiple requests for drinks as well.. the French Onion soup was warm, cheese wasn't melted at all. One of my favorite places to eat. The service and food have always been great. Never had any issues.

Very good service and the flavor was great... the only ding is the steak was tough. ( the steak had grissel throughout). I was offered another... time was important and I did not have time for a redo. However the manger did take the steak off of our bill and the waitress was very nice and professional. They did the right thing it was simply a bad cut of meat... no fault of theirs. And like I stated earlier the flavor was great. And every effort was put forth to make it right. Every time I come here, I regret it and wonder why I keep trying. Staff is probably good hearted enough but under trained and/or understaffed and/or under interested in their job. Although the food is about what you'd expect I am always disappointed in this location. So common to feel forgotten or even ignored. It's a shame. read more

First off, when we were seated, my bench had crumbs on it & it was wet from recently being wiped with a rag. If you just cleaned it, how is there still food on it? Our food tasted alright. Seems like much smaller portions than it used to be, especially the appetizer. Not sure if it is Applebee's all around, or just this location. Service was bad. The restaurant was pretty much empty, yet the waitress had to be told by another employee that our food was ready. She did not refill our drinks, not once. We asked for a refill & she said she'd be right back. Never refilled our drinks. Next time we saw her she was wanting to know if we were ready for the bill. I really want these guys to be much better than they are. We've had to send several orders back for prep issues, and at least twice for entirely wrong orders. Half the time the staff is either rude or dismissive, and attempt to upsell. My wife who seldom complains about her meals, even when bad, has resolved the issue for us in that she will no longer go there for lunch or dinner. On the flip side, when they miss the ball and the manager comes around, they will attempt to fix the problem (a big plus), but with their slow food prep and waiting 20 plus minutes for most meals, adding an attempt at restoration has had us there for upwards of an hour with my wife and I eating in shifts. Tooele has very few middle tier restaurants (middle for Tooele might not meet NYC standards) in the area, and The Rodizo is only open Friday and Saturday. With our Walmart mentality as a country when it comes to dining, if I were still in the entrepreneur mentality I would certainly not spend my monies investing in a local dining establishment. We want quality and a battery of upscale dining options, but few in the area are able or would invest in supporting such dining experiences. read more

Quality depends on the day, usually a nice atmosphere. Can either be quickly speedy service or a long wait. But the food is usually good

Tooele Applebee's has stepped up the last few month's. I stayed away for a few years due to bad service but the last 4 or 5 visits (all in the last 2 months) have been a different story. They have a very friendly attentive staff and a great way to relax for a Friday meal! read more

Was going to give 3 but as i started this they set a birthday group of 12 next to me in an almost empty building :( food and staff were average. Absolutely most worthless Applebees i've ever been to. I showed up alone so "attempted" to sit at the bar but over half the seats still had empty plates from previous patrons. Chose a table and was handed a menu and not even greeted. 30 minutes later I still hadn't even met my waitress let alone be asked what I wanted to drink. 35 minutes in I left. 100% management to blame. read more

The food is average. The staff is friendly-ish and polite-ish, but try and get a cocktail there... I dare you. I did, and let me tell you something. Congress moves faster. First I ordered. The. I was shown flash cards designated to educate me that I needed to order food in order to order a cocktail (That's a lot of ordering). Then to drive the point home, I was given a verbal quiz in reference to the flash cards to make sure I was paying attention. I passed with flying colors. Now you go through the interview stage. It's not sufficient for just your server to see your identification, but the lead server, assistant manager and the manager need to verify your age, eye color, hair color and your weight ( I have packed on a few pounds so there was a lengthy discussion of that was actually me in the ID photo). After the exams and the background check that would make the FBI proud you get to order....... And wait. And wait. And wait. It's kind of like waiting for your number to be called at the DMV, only your hungry....and thirsty. It took so long to get a sangria and a beer that I thought this establishment fermented their own wine and beer. After what seemed like a couple of birthdays, we finally got our drinks. Now it was time for the flash cards and oral exam for our food. Smh All and all the place is average. If you order adult beverages, it's going to cost more than your meal. Two pints of Goose Island and that sangria cost close to 30 bones. read more

This Applebee's will leave you with one of two conclusions; the service , cold food , and empty feeling you leave with is 1) on par with that Tool-ee backwoods kinda environment, 2) Applebee's is not what you remember from 1997 ... either way you loose! read more

We have eaten here twice since we moved to the area. Both times I was impressed with how good I found the dishes. I went in expecting it to be Applebee's average fair, which is okay. Instead, I found it very good. The service was excellent the first time. The second time we had to wait a little longer on coffee refills but they were busy and it wasn't a cold evening where many people were drinking coffee. Not that I find any reason a 'good' reason, I think I just understood and could have pressed the point. It wasn't that important to me on that evening. read more

I am never impressed by this Applebee's. You usually have a long wait, the service is lacking and the food is not that good. I have had uncooked chicken served to me a couple times here. But if you want to have a drink and dinner it's one of your only options in town. read more

The service we received, or lack of service was terrible. We did not see our server at all after our food was brought out to us by someone other then our server. What is it with the overzealous carding of ID's for people who want an adult beverage? We got carded twice by two different staff for the drinks we ordered with dinner. The manager then came around and was going to card us a third time (he was carding a table next to us again) and I said we were walking out the door if we got carded a third time. I saw the sign on the table saying be prepared for harassment if you want a drink, I get it but carding people multiple times by multiple staff for the same drinks is downright absurd. Our server was great. Although I was not very pleased after she ID me for my beer that then I was ID again (as she forewarned) by a rude manager, before he even looked at my ID (which I am 45) said "are you planning on eating? I am holding the lunch menu at a booth with 2 others. Obviously I was there for lunch, if wanted to just drink beer Tooele has several "bars" in town that I would much rather buy and drink beer from. I really am not going to Applebees and sit at a booth with my 72 year old mother and 43 year old sister to "drink beer" SERIOUS!!!! He came across as rude and unprofessional, with the way he handled the apparent "required by law" of beer sale. So after twice showing ID to the 2 separate people, it was another 17 minutes before receiving my barely cold bottle of Budweiser. I think the food is pretty darn good. The service can be very lacking though. Have seen the waitress talking with another waitress two tables away while waiting on the check for over five minutes. Not a one time thing. But I still come back for the French onion soup and fried green beans. read more

It's an Applebees. The Tooele location is better than the majority of the US locations. Staff is friendly, takes a second to say hello, and that keeps me coming back. Food is appropriate for cost/value. What prompted me to write a review is that my phone asked. The atmosphere on a race night is very different than the atmosphere on a week night. read more

Worst experience ever from an Applebees. 45 min for appetizer forgotten refills. Appetizers were cold. Chips were soggy and oily. Biker servers flashing colors. Just a bad experience all together. When a waitress says she is going to ask her Manager what she can do and then does nothing... Says to me she screwed up and didn't say a thing to the manager to cover her mistake. Not the right career for her. Looks have gotten her this far in her life. But she had better put a little more effort onto her work. read more
