Road Trip! We took a random exit off of I75 S to ditch the rush hour traffic and found this great Applebee's. Our server, "Despina K" made the entire experience more than just dinner. She was wonderful! She knew the entire menu and all of "Two for $20s". I asked for recommendations and she hit back with a thorough summary of great suggestions. She was attentive and pleasant and then desert! "Thank you Despina for making my unscheduled stop a pleasure. Applebee's Management???? Very disappointing. I ordered a grilled chicken breast and 2 sides assuming I would get a whole chicken breast. For $15.99 I received 1/2 a chicken breast and 2 sides; pretty misleading!! I was hungry 2 hours later. read more

Amazing service very personable and wonderful demeanor! However, the problem is the food and drink. First off the menu is not inclusive to Vegan people AT ALL! There is a handful of things I could eat there and I basically got them all. Chips and Salsa for the table, then two sides of Broccoli steamed and a side of fries. To wash it down I got a Margarita Mucho. Chips and Salsa was good, nothing out of the ordinary however had an old, or even frozen taste to the salsa. The Margarita was AWEFUL! It tasted like I was drinking apple cider vinegar with tequila. Broccoli was way over steamed and COVERED in salt! WAY WAY WAY too much salt! Fries tasted like they were made first then sat in the window until mine and the other plates at the table were cooked. Again absolutely covered in salt! This place has got to get back to the product they use to be known for. The food is average and most dishes have changed. Had the Pretzels for an appetizer. When they first offered these they were amazing. The cheese was warm and gooey and the pretzels were so yummy. What we got tonight was over cooked, over salted and watery tasteless cheese. It's evident they are taking many short cuts in the quality of the food they purchase. It shows and we are not the only people that feel this way. Open up a bar if drinks are keeping you in business, because it can't be the tasteless food. read more

Okay so apparently the half price apps after nine still exist. My bad. I apologize. Also we've been back practically weekly since my last review and I still stand by Erin being the best server there. There are more servers there that are good but Erin takes the cake. She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and its just fun to be around her. read more

Ordered the Strawberry Balsamic Chicken salad tonight. It was supposed to come with mixed greens, said so in the description and showed it in the picture. Instead, I payed $13 for a salad with little toppings and 1/4 of a $1 head of ice burg lettuce. Disappointed seeing as ice burg is cheap, tasteless and has no nutritional value. My point here is, if it says it comes with mixed greens it should come with mixed greens. Seems like a rip off to me. Also, they forgot the bread stick read more

It's a chain people, you're coming here for a whopping plate of reheated food on a budget. Well, at least that is my expectation. Every dish I've had at this Applebee's tastes just about the same as any other Applebee's. Service is, however, extremely nice and I have been pleased with every server we've ever had-- even with a 2 year old destructo in tow. They have various perks such as half price appetizers and specials throughout the week so check those out! I think I saw ladies' night on Tuesday and a few kids nights. read more

My wife and I have been to enough restaurants to know that a medium-well steak should not be completely brown with dark edges, but that's how it seems to go at this Applebee's. Every time we go here and get the steak, it seems to come out cooked the same way no matter how you tell the server you want it cooked. One time, she ordered medium-well and I ordered well-done. When our steaks arrived, they looked identical. The boneless wings with buffalo sauce are great though, and when you include those with their 2 for $20 meal, it's not a bad bargain. The mashed potatoes are mediocre, but you don't really get many side options. My wife once asked if she could get onion rings for a side, and the server said she could. But, she never mentioned that it would be extra, as it appeared on our bill. It was pretty cold in there last time we went too. There's nothing really wrong with this place. It's a typical Applebee's. However, I prefer the one in Southgate much more. But, when it comes to all the choices of places to eat in the area, Applebee's usually isn't the first place someone will suggest, unless it's late at night and you want half-off appetizers and cheap drinks. read more

It's a franchise restaurant, to take that into account: there are new managers every year, practically in this industry. I've never had a problem with the service or food here and we frequent the place at least once a month. Half-atizers are great. Their staff will let you wait if you're close to the time. Great food. I'll do Apple Bees once in a blue moon and I love the military discount Military Mondays. Like all big chains the wait is long when busy and the portions to price ratio not good. My appetizer looked good on the menu but geez guess their going for style points? Anywho, the drinks come quick thats good with a good menu, the buy 2 for 20/25 is cool so all in all Apple Bees gets 4. Please get more Crafts on tap. read more

I used to come here twice a week after getting off work with friends.. love the sirolin streak with parm and shrimp. Food has always been exceptional. No matter what anyone says about a chain restaurant, if you like something its all that matters However i will not be returning due to the service. I recently visited twice with 2 different friends. Each time it took anywhere from 8 to 10 minutes before being acknowledged. My friend got a promotion so to celebrate i bought her a shot. That shot cost me 11 dollars.. why? Okay though no problem, servers dont control cost after all. However servers do control smiles, refills on drinks, checking on us. I ordered french onion soup, and i did not have a spoon. I requested one and was told "yeah gimme a second". 5 minutes later i had to ask the host. My friend asked for another pop in which the server walked away without acknowledging her I ordered a to go for myhusband and another entree for me for lunch the next day. I got home and was putting things away when i noticed they gave us two of the wrong steaks, veggies when i asked for only mashed potatos, and a spinach and artichoke dip with about 10 tortilla chips. I called to steak to a manager just to let them know in case someone else got our steaks. Was put on hold for 10 minutes with no answer from a manager. Average at best. Hadn't been here in nearly a year and I was quickly reminded why. The chicken was extremely over cooked, cold fries that had been loaded with salt. Do the cooks not at least taste test a single fry? Had to clean off each fry by hand for them to be edible. Won't be back for another year or so, hopefully new cooks by then. * side note wife said there was blood smeared on the wall in women's restroom!!!! read more

Service wasn't great, I had to wait until I was done with half my entree to be given my glass of wine. The salad was spread across a dinner plate, and they not only forgot to put cheese on my pasta, they forgot the breadstick. i love applebee's i come here every night for the half off apps and someone took the chicken quesadillas off the half off apps menu. i'm a broke college student i cannot afford full apps that's why i come here at night so the apps are half off. i'm very mad. the very nice waitress here at woodhaven had to break the news to us and i cried. i'm kidding. i didn't cry. but it's very upsetting it's my favorite thing ever. plz plz plz just put them back on the menu. i would really appreciate it. thank you. read more

Very friendly and polite waitstaff. Nice and cozy atmosphere to relax and spend some time with friends and family. Tvs spread around so that you keep up with news and sports. Great deals such as the 2 for $20 and good options for then as well. They have a bar if your interested and they are walking distance to shops such as GameStop and Walmart. Good to stop by while you pet is getting fixed up at petsmart. And also good for lunch after or before shopping. read more

Have been coming to this Applebees for years! Never ever had a problem. Our favorite is the wonton tacos for an appetizer! They never disappoint and starts our meal off amazing! They are even more amazing during half off apps (thank you for that also) French onion soup is PHENOMINAL never had any better anyplace else. I always get the same thing, the parmsean shrimp sirlion with loaded mashed potatos. I am always so suprised by how much shrimp comes with this! It is so delicious and i love the topping. Staff is nice for the most part, only had one problem last time with a server who seemed bothered by us because we were getting drinks and half off apps. As a retired server i know how to tip so they should remember not to judge a book by its cover. A manager has always checked on us during each visit, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! read more

Girlfriend and I went to this applebees and were seated, it was very cold in there and we ordered the boneless wings like normal and they had tons of fat on them, way too much sauce on them, and overall they were disgusting... my fries were cold, fresh out the freezer.... waiter barely checked on us. I went into this Applebee's and when we were sat down it smelled like dirty rags. We switched booths and it still did. We decided to leave because of this. On the way out I told a hostess and she said "oh it's the menus they always smell like that" um... excuse me why is your menus smelling bad acceptable? If your okay with your restaurant smelling like mildew, I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like. That's disgusting. read more

I used to come here a lot and the quality of food you get from curb side pickup has been terrible for the last few months. It's sucks because once you get home and see the order is messed up You don't want to have to drive all the way back to have it corrected.
