I came here for lunch a few times as it's super cheap, and you can get deli foods like sandwiches…read moreand salads as well as soup, hot foods and breakfast all for around 4-7 euro. There's also a coffee machine. There's some inside seating in addition to the take away option but not many, so expect to share when it's busy. The soups are super salty, I can't imagine anything but water, salt and blended veg going in. The deli is pretty average, nothing different from any other standard deli with a selection of meats and salads. They also have a subway which tends to get packed with school kids around lunch time. The hot food is mostly breaded chicken, hash browns and maybe curry. They don't seem to restock very often here, so products like pre-packed sandwiches and salads, fridge items and yoghurts tend to sell out as the week goes by and they don't restock until the following week. Overall, a decent enough pit stop for petrol or a cheap quick bite to eat. The Castle Arch hotel is only 5 mins walk away, and a 10 mins walk from the town centre.

This evening at 6.20pm I on my way home from work I called into Ross filling station for groceries,…read more as I do almost daily for the past 30 years. I intended doing the Lotto and searched for a lotto form among the lottery forms and I could not find a lotto one. I mentioned this to the male shop assistant at the counter, but he made no offer to help me find one or offer to input my numbers manually. He then went to serve another customer. Having not found the Lotto form I again said so to the assistant who just shrugged his shoulders. There was another customer at the same time looking through the forms. Having not getting the normal customer courtesy I left without buying my groceries. I must add when I entered the shop I was the only customer but shortly afterwards 3 more customers came in. I was quite satisfied to wait until the other customers were served so the assistant could go and get a form or at least ask me if he could manually input my numbers. I was a little surprised at the laissez - fair assistants attitude towards his customer. Needless to say I will be doing my shopping at Campus in Dunshaughlin in future .

A smallish service station they also have a shop with a few grocery items and some random things like cards. It's a handy place to get something when you run out late at night. And if it's a busy time you might be waiting to pull in or out of this station because of it's closeness to the crossroads.

It's a fuel station location primarily, a Texaco (of which Christopher Lloyd is an heir) with a few different dining options and a general shop for everything from crisps to newspapers. We only wanted coffee and we got one 16oz cappuccino between two. We bought at the Bewley's coffee dock but the receipt had Supermacs as the business, so there must be a franchisee arrangement in place. As an aside do Google the legal fight between Supermacs Irish owner Pat Mc Donagh, a former school teacher and Mc Donald's - Pat won. I now see him taking Mc D on throughout Europe as he has the tenacity and, as they'd likely see it, the temerity. The €3.95 coffee (£3.25) was the same price as downtown Dublin, similarly the Supermac burger chain prices were not hiked either. I noted one local independent cafe here offered a carvery dinner for €13.50 which in these times is a darn good deal. The toilets were well appointed despite it being a very busy stopping point that catered for cars, lorries and buses. It's on our radar now and we won't hesitate to return if passing by.
