AVOID this hospital at all cost…read more On Aug 5, 2025, Toronto Police 22nd Division took my severely delusional schizophrenic son from prison to this hospital emergency on his release from the prison. He was arrested and imprisoned because he had assaulted his older brother and me, his mother, while medicating himself with crystal meth. Almost three months time passed since that attack while he remained imprisoned without any treatment. The mental health nurses and the on-call emergency psychiatrist were all very disrespectful, rude, and angry with me. The psychiatrist literally told me and i quote "As the on-call emergency psychiatrist, my job is to admit and discharge patients." On my insistence, he kept my son overnight in the emergency mental health unit but released him the next morning before 10 AM without any assessment or treatment. My son and I walked out of the hospital together. My son is as much delusional as he was if not more delusional at the time he was arrested and imprisoned. I am helplessly watching my son being killed by the government that is eagerly punishing mentally ill people while denying them the treatment and care they deserve.

Since I am an international student covered only by UHIP, they told me that payment must be in cash or cheque, so I paid $250 in cash for the visit. The receptionist brought me to the doctor, who gave me a handwritten receipt that looked very unprofessional. It had no printed name, CPSO number, or procedure code. I later noticed that the receipt said $200, even though I paid $250, which is not eligible for a UHIP reimbursement. I contacted them through text message to ask for a corrected invoice. At first, they replied and asked me to send a photo of the receipt. After I sent it, they stopped responding completely. I also tried to reach them by phone and email but never received any reply. It made me feel that they took advantage of the situation because the payment was in cash, leaving no way to dispute it. The entire experience felt dishonest and untrustworthy. As for the consultation, I do not question the doctor's qualification, but he only spent about five minutes with me. There was no physical examination, only a brief verbal suggestion. I also asked to leave a message requesting the doctor to fax his diagnosis to my family doctor, but once again, they never replied or followed up. I felt much frustrated, ignored, and cheated. I will continue to dispute against them.

My previous experiences with this hospital were not very good at all, quite the opposite and in the negative. This experience was much better, was able to hop around and find a wheelchair no problem. The staff were super friendly and worked with a sense of urgency, when it all was said and done, the visit took about 3 hours, the only thing that I have negative to say was that the doctor at the time read my xray wrong and I got a phone call the next day telling me very bad news. The hospital was very clean and bright. Lots of parking on site Transit options are the 123 and 80 buses, and the 15 with a bit of a walk from the mall.

An urgent care centre (UCC) provides care for non emergency injuries and personal health issues. Sprains, cuts, rashes, broken fingers etc for example, as well as blocked catheters, urinary retention and post surgical complications if needed. Emergency care is provided at another site, as is inpatient care. This site provides investigative and pre operative work up, as well as rehabilitation on an outpatient basis. An army of knowledgeable volunteers and clerical staff ensure you are seen in good time. The UCC practices triage, so less urgent cases may wait a long time for treatment. These cases could probably get seen at a walk in clinic or at their own doctors. Properly utilized this can be a one stop shop. Before I retired as an RN I referred patients here appropriately and they received good care. My wife had her follow up care here after her knee replacement, and I have cardiac investigations done here. The one down side? The cost of parking, although options are available to reduce the cost for frequent attenders.

Turns out the sprain I thought I had was Cellulitis and it had spread into the bone. Ended up on I.V antibiotics for 6 weeks. 4 years later and I am still using a cane and in pain daily. Do not go here if you are a chronic pain patient on any kind of pain meds. They automatically treat you as a drug seeker.

It wasn't long before I started to feel light headed and sweaty. Claudette truly took care of me...she quickly finished drawing blood and began to fan me with a board as she motioned me to put my head down to get the blood flow back to my head. She got me a glass of water and stayed with me until I felt better. This woman truly made an uncomfortable chore tolerable and her kindness made all the difference.

I had multiple derm issues and she was completely unhelpful with both and I never heard back from a clinic and she did not have any recommendations for other Dermatologists she could refer me to. I felt dismissed and like she cared about money over the care of her patients and I would strongly warn anyone looking for a family doctor to be cautious.
