Sadly, every other place that was a national chain was out - and the problem with appliance parts on Amazon is that if you have an issue, it is one of those "oh crap, it's wrong." On a whim, I Googled around, found Aeraci.com and called their office in Brownsville, but that was closed due to COVID so they were working out of their main office only in Los Fresnos - a scant 15 minute drive, and after speaking with Mary on the phone (a consummate professional, kind, and thorough) who was clearly handling phones ringing off the hook. I have spent my time working in commercial appliance sales, so I know how hard Mary was having it at 4:00PM in the afternoon, as it seems their smaller satellite offices were having all phones route to them, and she was juggling incoming calls from much bigger fish than me - though she was thorough, diligent and had my GE part and it was on my way to grab the part. I explained that I had to get gas, I may be cutting it close, though she offered to stay open if I needed. All of this was unnecessary as I had made it in good time, with getting gas, and the small shop was one of those small town gems that you love - simple, to the point, and highly functional. You could easily tell that their business - definitely of the counter-style appliance part variety - was more centralized on commercial B2B though the friendliness, kindness, and sharp nature of Mary at the front was one that welcomed even the DYI crowd. The transaction was speedy and I was most pleased they sold water and chips old-school small town style, and it was fun to support local businesses like this - especially for appliance parts and repair in an era where the larger Lowe's and Home Depots of the world overrun places like Aeraci.com though they cannot replace the care, expertise, and speed. Plus, with folks like Mary manning the desk, any HVAC repairman, handyman, DIY-er will be confident that Aeraci.com has the parts, expertise, or added repair help to get the job done. While I was not able to take advantage of their extensive repair services, I can guarantee everyone in the Rio Grande Valley this - you will be in good hands with Aeraci.com for all your appliance repair needs - large to small, A/C to Refrigerator - the folks at Aeraci.com have it handled. And if you have a minute, swing by and say hi to Mary at their main office in Los Fresnos and feel at home knowing that experts are always a call away.

Two men came to check my washer which was agitating but not spinning. They just looked around the…read morewasher for 20 min and the rest 10 minutes were just standing there with an Ipad. They told me it would be $500 dlls to fix it and it would likely be better for me to buy a new one. They Charged $60 !!! just for trip to my house and stand there for 20-30 min. Their argument was it would take 2 men to take it apart, repair plus labor and parts. Obviously I said NO and decided to search the Internet where we found some simple videos of potential problems. We bought the part (clutch) for $40 Dlls (although we saw some for as cheap as $15 dlls) . It only took my boyfriend to move the washer and lay it down on the floor. It took him literally 15-20 min to take it apart and remove Clutch and put new one back together. The washer started spinning but only slow. Another google search said it could be a garment trapped between the spinning basket and water tank. Another 10 min of taking things apart and voila there it was. Removed the garment and there it was my washer spinning full speed now. Spent total $100 thanks to these people otherwise it would have been only $40 dlls. We had been very hesitant on calling them but we said to give it a try thinking it could be an easy fix (which it was ) BUT of course they made it look it wasn't. Bottom line. I do not recommend using this company. If you are not a DIY person please do more research on who to hire first. Obviously we didn't but we don't want anybody else going thru what we went thru with this company.
