Absolutely recommend!!!! You don't find businesses like this anymore. Edwin was FANTASTIC!!!! We've been having issues with our 20 year old Kitchen Aid built-in refrigerator for several months. The water dispenser and icemaker stopped working. My husband repairs everything in our home. He was an engineer. He's replaced parts, torn apart assemblies, poured through service sheets and the internet and has been unable to fix this issue. We were hesitant to call anyone, because we had a bad experience years ago, where another appliance repair group told us on the phone that it would be a $250 charge to come to our house to diagnose a problem on our washing machine, and then if they could fix it, the repair cost of parts and labor would probably be over $500, on top of that diagnosis fee. That was more than the washing machine originally cost. My husband got on the internet and figured out the issue and repaired it with a $20 part from Amazon in 30 minutes. My husband did not want to make a call for outside help, but I insisted. We needed professional assistance. After much research, we found Appliance Works, a family owned company that had fantastic reviews online. We called them to schedule an appointment to come out and diagnose the problem. The diagnosis service call was to cost $95, and it would be applied towards any repair costs. After our other experience, this sounded like a dream. The day of the appointment, the technician, Edwin, was right on time. He was sharp, knowledgeable, and professional. To make a long story short, he spent almost three hours working on our problem. He even got Brett, the owner, on the phone when he couldn't figure out the issue after 2 hours, and Brett was right there to support him in thinking through the possible issues. When is the last time you encountered a company whose owner gave that kind of support to his field personnel? We thought they were going to tell us that we owed more, but at the end, the bill was only $95. They gave us a quote for repairs and applied the $95 against that quote. We now have a working refrigerator again. This is an awesome company and they hire incredible people. The owner supports his people in a way that you just don't encounter in most businesses today. We can't say enough about them. Don't look any further; just call them if you need help with an appliance. read more

Went to schedule an appliance repair. Called and was told they need a card on file. Not a problem. That is pretty standard. However they said they needed to email me a form that I then had to print out, fill out and send back with my credit card info. I feel like this is pretty unprofessional and quite frankly a little shady feeling. With AI and scams out there this didn't feel right. Reviews can be fabricated on a website. So it just didn't feel right. A suggestion for your company being that it's 2026. Get this to work digitally. The next company I called sent me a text and I filled out the info on their system. A lot more secure and not as much of a hassle. read more

Went to the Appliance Works website and filled out their scheduling request form on 07-14-25. I received a text msg. from Lydia that same afternoon & scheduled on 07-16-25. Super easy. Super quick. Super efficient and effective communication. Let's face it. We're all busy. I don't necessarily have the luxury of stopping what I'm doing in the middle of the day or stepping away from my desk to make a call. It's much easier to respond via email or text and I suspect that's the case for most busy individuals these days. They called me ahead of time to let me know Chris was on his way to get my appliances fixed. Our Maytag washer was rockin' & rollin' even with the lightest of wash loads & our dryer has no power at all. After a quick diagnostic test, Chris has everything all figured out. It took him a couple of hours (including time he had to obtain parts) but he got our washer & dryer all fixed up! Repair cost was on par with just about any other repair network in the Valley with far better communication. Not fun paying this stuff out of pocket but still considerably less expensive than a new washer & dryer. I would not hesitate at all to recommend Appliance Works to my friends, family or fellow Yelp'ers! read more

They came out to look at my 48" builtin Frigidaire that quit cooling but you could still hear it running. They said they needed to rebuild the whole closed system. I called another company for a 2nd opinion and he told me that the fridge is still under warranty for parts only. I would still pay the labor. These more expensive builtin units have better warranties than stand alone units. So I called customer service at frigidaire and they got someone out right away and ordered the parts. They explained that I will only be paying for labor to install the new parts, which will have their own warranty and I agreed. I saved about $3,000 NOT using Appliance Works. They've lost a property manager with several properties under management now. read more

So... After scheduling another repair company to come out and got ripped off by Pro Tech I found Appliance Works , called them on Friday they could've came out next day to fix my Dryer but I wasn't available Saturday so they scheduled me for Monday and the Technician showed up on time with a 15 minute text notification he was on his way , arrived and figured out the issue immediately I wasn't expecting it to be fixed same day as usually they need to order parts and that takes at minimum 24 hours but not these guys, he jump right in fixed the issue back in business then I asked him if by chance they also work on gas stoves he asked what was going on I explained and showed him he says ," I have that part in my vehicle and can work a price " I was pleasantly surprised he had the part .. then also fixed my gas stove !! Less than an hour and a half I had both appliances fixed !! These folks are top notch!! Would absolutely use them again if needed !! Chris was the tech and was great ! I had what I thought was going to be an easy fix for my icemaker that was not producing ice. The tech listed below showed up on time, was cordial and proceeded to enter codes from a source on his iPad to try to get it to work. He spent about 20 minutes or so checking codes (or Youtube? for help). Then proceeds to tell me that nothing was working and I need a new icemaker. I declined because it would be cheaper to buy one from Amazon...and he agreed. The next morning..."a miracle??"...my icemaker is working perfectly. I'm so glad that I didn't buy an icemaker especially from this company. After further research, I found that by waiting 12-24 hours after the correct code was entered (defrosting), the problem could resolve itself. NOT the advice I received from the "expert" technician. That $95 service fee was unfortunately an expensive fix for me to end up having to figure it out on my own. Not sure if this was a training issue with the tech or ???. I've used Appliance Works in the past and appreciated their communication and efficiency. Unfortunately, today's experience was the opposite. I scheduled a repair for a severe refrigerator failure and was given a 9-12pm window. That window passed with no update. I had to call myself--twice--to reach someone, and only then was I told that a technician had an emergency and left the route. I completely understand that emergencies happen. What's unacceptable is the lack of communication and service recovery. My time is valuable, and a simple proactive phone call or text would have gone a long way. Instead, I was left waiting past the quoted window with no outreach, only to receive excuses when I finally got through. There are many appliance repair companies to choose from. I'm the one who calls and requests the repairs but yet they don't call me to let me know what the repair is and they go ahead and charge anything over the 350 limit. Three times have they not called me with the repair to allow me to try to talk to the owner to get the repair done. UPDATE: I received a call from Appliance Work making everything right. They apologized for the fact that the wrong diagnosis was made and will hopefully not have that happen again. I can't give them 5 stars, but they seem like a responsible company so I'm giving them 4 stars for reaching out 24 hours after I had contacted them, and making things right. Yesterday: I am SO disappointed! Ricky seemed great when he came to diagnose the problem with my built-in oven. He pulled the oven out about a foot and tested a board and said that the board was the problem. Great, then not great, the board was on backorder. No problem, my husband is handy so he found the board on EBay and replaced it two days later. Didn't fix it. So he pulled the oven all the way out and discovered that one of the 110 wires was not live. Something Ricky would have found if he'd pulled the oven out like maybe he should have done! So hubby looks in the junction box and one of the 110 wires has melted! Hence no power to the oven! Called an electrician, then the Electrolux folks, who came by and fixed it! Since the board hadn't fixed the oven we had already ordered a new oven! We're hoping we can cancel that order and not pay for shipping or a restocking fee. Only time will tell on that. So my review went from 5 stars to 1 star. I'm so disappointed cos Ricky was great when he was here and I really liked him. But he misdiagnosed the problem with my oven and I'm out his call-out fee, plus maybe more on the new oven we no longer need. read more

Our LG washer appeared to be leaking. Matthew came out right on time and quickly figured out the issue was soap buildup. The excess soap forms a lot of bubbles that are eventually pushed up and out the overflow hole in the top of the drum area and fall to the floor. The bubbles eventually form a puddle. Matthew pointed out the LG has a "Tub Clean" feature that we have never used and will now start using monthly. He suggested putting a cup of white vinegar directly in the tub before running Tub Clean. Before he left, Matthew made sure our LG wasn't "leaking" anymore. We were happy no parts had to be replaced and were only charged the routine amount for the service call. We got quite an education and didn't pay too much for it. Reached out because my fridge/freezer wasn't cooling and was told the issue was for a faulty control board that is no longer available and was advised to get a new unit and paid their fees. Shortly after, I found the part needed after an Amazon search for $30 and hired a local contractor to complete the work for less than the 'service call' and everything's working fine now. My dryer started screaching very loudly about a week ago. I called and they were able to get a repair technician named Chris out within 2 days! Chris was very personable and knowledgable and had it fixed within an hour. This is our 3rd time using Appliance Works and we've had great service every time!!! Our Samsung fridge decided to pretend that 58 degrees was actually 37 degrees (apparently a common issue with Samsung fridges), so I went to Yelp for some help and came up with Appliance Works. I'm going to have to agree with the 5 star reviews. My phone call was answered promptly, and within a few days Jorge came on out to take a look. Jorge was super helpful, showing me the back of my fridge where the fan had decided to ice over and also explaining a secondary issue (our freezer makes ice but our fridge does not) and why repairing it would likely be a waste of money. He was honest, straight-forward, and discussed a variety of options before we settled on fixing the sensor in the back of the fridge. We discussed prices and Jorge ordered some parts and did a temporary fix to get our fridge to run for another week or two while the parts came in. Turns out we also had some crappy tubes in the back of the fridge, because one of them decided to explode and spray water everywhere while we were waiting for the frozen fans to thaw. We woke up to a flood, but Jorge came by and saved the day - and fixed another potential future leak that he found under our sink at no cost. 100% will use Appliance Works again for the next time anything else goes wrong in our place. read more

These folks have true old fashioned integrity and competence. They advised what was best for MY pocketbook, not theirs! Instead of urging me to spend $1700 on repairing my Kenmore fridge's compressor, (my fridge was made by LG, which I didn't know!) they advised me to replace my fridge with a Whirlpool or a GE to avoid a repeat of this issue. I did some research & learned of class action lawsuits against LG for making compressor coils which don't last even to their 5 year warranty. By the way, Appliance Works does ongoing continuing education with their service personnel! Focusing on what's best for your customer is a great way to build trust & loyalty! Please see previous review below before reading this one. I definitely had a few mishaps! They came out to repair my washer and the worse case senior ended happening but let me tell you what they did to resolve the issue. They sent a supervisor or owner idk.. they sent Brett out to have a look he told me he'd have to take my washer back to the warehouse for a week but that he could bring me a loaner in the meantime, as we were headed into the labor day weekend so it would be a while i got it back and he did. When he returned my washer he told me they had to change out the transmission and reprogram the washer. Well he brought it back set it up and left. He'd tested the machine out at the warehouse so no need for him to stay for the first wash cycle anyways something happen and the lock switch was acting up wouldnt allow me to drain my machine. Called Brett he came out the next day and fixed it something about a glitched when the machine was reprogrammed. He got that adjusted at it has run perfect ever since. Now one would think I'd never use this company agian but ONE WOULD BE DEAD WRONG their commitment to customer care, quality work and Bretts unwavering commitment to resolve ALL the issues guaranteed that im a customer for life! I called to make an appointment. I let the lady know that my husband was disabled and could not hear the phone, but would be there for the appointment. She said unfortunately if he couldn't answer the phone to confirm the Techs were coming, they couldn't help us. So what she is saying is that this company is not willing to help disabled people. Though I reiterated that he would be there and not miss the appointment scheduled, she still wouldn't make accommodations for disabilities. We needed our 10 year old Bosch dishwasher inspected to determine why the detergent pod didn't fully dissolve. Technician Steve arrived right on time (even a little early). Checked a number of possible causes and ultimately determined it must have been a large pot or pan blocking one of the washer arms. My dryer stopped working out of nowhere and I contacted them via their website. Someone from their company called me back within 2 hours of my initial contact and since I listed my dryer's model #, they were able to quickly set up an appointment. Brett showed up within the time frame he promised and quickly diagnosed the issue. He had everything he needed to repair on that spot and I had my dryer back working in no time. He recommend I have a dryer vent cleaned annually and gave me a recommendation. I contacted the company Brett recommended and I am very happy with his service as well. 6/5/24 Last week I called Appliance Works and explained that our Dryer was hot but not drying clothes, damp and would not dry. I now understand after talking to others that this is an "indication" of a blocked vent and common knowledge. AWorks should have known this and explained that they DO NOT CLEAN VENTS, but instead, knowing the problem sent out their tech. After 5 minutes he said "your vent is blocked, you need to call a vent clean out company, and that he just happened to have a name to call. Charged me $85.00. Quick $85.00.
