My mother would call for help and no one would come. I hired a person to come sit with my mom and they found a way to kick her out of the building because she was bringing up issues of negligence to attention. I was traveling and a friend stopped by to see my mom. She called me hysterical because my mom was in her urine and feces . I have photos of this happening TWICE. But the worst part is my mother had been complaining of pain in her leg. I asked the staff to do an x-ray. They never did. After my friends call I took my mother out in 24 hours and put her in a 4 bedroom home. They proactively did the xrays and determined my mom fractured her hip. That is a death sentence. My mother told me she tried to get up to go to the bathroom after waiting forever, and she fell. She was #&#(#(@ BLIND!! How hard is it to help someone to the bathroom??? I guess to Tucker Wellness, it was worth letting her die. I had few options for my mother as she was on Medicaid. In hindsight I should have not gone back to work and just let everything go financially to keep my mother alive. It wasn't worth it. My mother died in pain. Had a fantastic outing on my own yesterday using Uber and meeting up with friends. A reprieve from this living hell. You are not allowed to restrain patients, etc. but Friday night another patient who was in her own distress was in the hall screaming for hours. I always felt safe here until then when she was literally 5 feet from our room and my back was to her as I tried to eat my salad at 9 pm. I made a blockade with my wheelchair and ice cart and put keys to make noise if anyone entered. Talk about our own version of "Home Alone" and an absolute fire and safety hazard to have things in our way if we needed to get out. This brings up another interesting point. Is there enough staff to evacuate all the clients in an emergency. I can answer that. ABSOLUTELY NOT! Damn it takes 2-3 for patients to be in line for the hoyer lift. Will you roll everyone out in their beds with or without oxygen and legally not have any side rails to protect oneself? Where does one begin when they're not even worthy of 1 star. Call this place "Hotel California" and let your imagination run! Meds are never right or on hand. Are you kidding me? It's a battle every single night trying to ensure my medicine is correct. Tonight two were not available and after my rant and rave to them and my son, it mysteriously appeared. It's a constant BS story. Last night the person handing meds out knew nothing about my most critical medicine. I had her triple check and argue with me. If you want a facility that all you're worried about is rehab and not overall care come here but know you've sold your loved one or yourself to the devil so the bastard who owns this and the administrator all look good and the ROI is what ultimately counts. I came on to multiple shifts where the previous nurse had skipped medications for residents or not hung feedings to patients requiring feeding tubes. Lazy! Almost every one of my shifts started with cleaning residents up because they were sitting in soiled briefs. I had a miscarriage while working there and required a d&c. I missed 2 shifts due to this and had a note, and they fired me. They don't care about their employees and they cared about very few of their residents. Bottom line, if you actually love your family/friends keep them FAR from here!
