I was very interested in the aquariums that they have on display, as they're really good quality tanks. The only thing that's really prevented me from dropping the cash has been that my home is a very, very long drive from there, and the roads are not particularly friendly to the transport of glass items. The plants are worth a look if you've got an aquarium, though. They're not those crappy ones that some pet shops sell that seem to rot and fall apart in a couple of weeks, these are proper aquatic plants.

Plenty of tropicals and varieties of goldies, and a great range of plants that are true aquatics. There's lots of tanks here, too - and they do customs to match people's requirements. The display tanks are a testimony to their knowledge, beautiful planted tanks, and a great display with rock and cichlids, too. Lots of parking here, it's quite an empty centre around with lots of free spaces. The only reason I'm not giving Amazon Aquariums a better rating, the owners and staff aren't as friendly and helpful as many other stores I've been to - in fact, they seem positively withdrawn compared to most.

Also, I have just moved houses, so I was on the search to find a new destination for my supplies. One thing that I really love about Yelp is that it point's me in the right direction constantly. I go to all the cool shops now. Places where locals love and want to share the love! And this brings me to P&K pets. This store is surprisingly big! From the street it looks like a pokey little store, but head on into it and it just keeps going! My only disappointment was that it doesn't really have a carpark (unless I missed it anywhere?), so I had to park in the pub carpark. But not too far of a walk to the store and not that this would deter me from going back. This store has such a huge selection of products for all different types of animals. Also, the animals that they sell look very happy and healthy.There are lizards, fish, bunnies, turtles, etc... I even saw two pet Kookaburras. Wow! As for dog food and toys, a brilliant selection with great brands to choose from. Well priced and they offer a 5% off when you join up as a member of the store. I signed up in a flash! Every dollar counts. They also pointed out that the discount only applies to full priced items. Fair enough. The staff are so super friendly and so happy to help! They even offered to help me carry my massive bag of dog food to the car. How sweet! They helped me find what I needed and offered me some great advice for my pets. Totally love this store and so happy to have found my new destination for pet gear near my new home!

P & K Pets is one of the largest pet stores I've seen, and it's collection of fish and furry…read morecritters is beyond impressive. I went to this a while ago to buy my girlfriend some fish. I'm warning you right now - if you think that fish are easy to look after, you couldn't be more wrong. They require a lot more care than dogs or cats, will die on you at any sudden moment, and don't give you any love in return. Despite all this, the staff at P & K really know their stuff. They gave me all of the materials and equipment required to properly look after the fish and information on which fish live well together. I usually hate going in to pet stores and seeing a whole lot of puppies and kittens locked away in plastic boxes. Fortunately P & K Pets is an ethical pet shop, and they no longer sell kittens or puppies in the shop. Furthermore, they refuse to keep any pets in the store if the temperature is above 33 degrees celcius. It's comforting to know that these guys really care about the welfare of these animals, and if I am ever to buy another pet in the future, I'll know where I can get pets that are genuinely well looked after.

Out of all the aquarium shops in Adelaide that I've visited (and I think I've been to them all by…read morenow) this would be my first stop if I could only go to one. Without a shadow of a doubt they have the biggest range of fish, and by far the deepest range of exotic species. There are shops that have cheaper fish, bigger fish, rarer fish, harder to find plants, or a bigger range of cichlids, or marine exotics - but for all round range, Seaview has it hands down. It's also a huge store - lots of tanks to choose from, accessories, pumps, decorations, rocks & logs - you name it, it's here. Again, there ARE bigger stores - but the range here has everything I could think of needing all contained in one store. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It can get busy, and I've stood in a frustratingly slow queue on a Saturday - but that's understandable given they need to communicate with a lot of customers over the suitability of fish for their needs, that they understand the care needed for certain species, etc. Parking is best off the Anzac Highway - I've seen far too many wing mirrors whipped off cars parked here while people shop for fish.

Now he's the size of a large dinner plate. Along with 2 tanks, and a whole school of fish... this place loves taking my money :) I've tried many other fish / aquarium shops in Adelaide but this really is your one stop shop for all fish, turtle, frog and marine plant supplies, they also have a large range of tanks and ponds. It is easily the best aquarium shop in Adelaide. It does however get a little busy on weekends, so prepare for a wait while you get served, but there is a lot of cool marine displays to look at while you wait. Check out the shark tank very cool, or my Bumblebee Cichlid who now lives in the large Cichlid tank out back, he got way to big for my 6 ft tank and started picking on all the others. :( Prices are reasonable, and the staff are usually friendly... If you love spending endless amounts of cash on your marine critters, then this is the place to go. :)

They have bulk food in huge bags that you nearly need a forklift to carry; a wide range of collars, toys, harnesses, bowls, beds, water dispensers, flea and worm treatment, and a plethora of pet pampering products. They even have a dog washing station that we have used one Saturday. It was a bit traumatic for our little dogs though, so may be better for a medium to large dog. Petstock also have a rewards program of some sort. I think we get a discount there.

Apart from Cork, I shop here often for my cat. I'm pretty sure he's put a spell on me, as every time I step into PETstock, I aim for the treats and cat nip shelves! It's a great one stop shopping venue for all your pet needs. It has friendly and helpful staff, aquariums with majestic reptiles and gorgeous fishes to look at, huge range of pet accessories to pamper your pooch and best of all, there's free furry hugs for all!

I was quite happy with the service I was provided, with the staff that I spoke to sounding fairly competent in knowing their products. Fibreglass, rock ponds and black plastic ponds sit out the back with or without water falls, it's up to you. Also outside is a large turtle pond containing long and short necks some the size of dinner plates. Pond plants, pond liners, rocks, absolutely everything. The service is excellent and staff are dedicated and knowledgeable offering advice on set ups and installation.
