The Zoo Aquarium de Madrid did not disappoint. It's quite a good size and offers a lot to see. Our son (2.5 years) really enjoyed the little farm animals. We all thought the dolphin show was outstanding. All in all this was a great experience. The walk from the subway station is a bit of a hike (we would probably bus it next time) but that wasn't a huge deal.

This was a day well spent. I recommend 2-3 hours for the zoo, 45 minutes for lunch, and another hour for the aquarium. I did not see any docents there though. Either they have none or they aren't there during the week. I had a few animal questions and no one to ask. I think this well worth the price.

The ride takes you over a big park and apartment buildings in the suburbs, so while it's not the coolest view, it is fun if you have a ton of time in Madrid and want to relax. The cable cars are pretty small and not super new, so again, if you only have a few days in Madrid, I'd recommend other things first, but if you're looking for extra to do, this is available!
