Although this is a pretty place that is walking distance to the ocean, I was not impressed with their food. I ordered their avocado toast and it truly was underwhelming. The salad on top with lemon juice was good but avocado and the toast weren't that great. Their green tropics smoothie, however, was EXCELLENT!!

I came here not knowing what to expect. I find it hard to find good breakfast/brunch places and this place is one of the good ones! Good selection, friendly staff, and delicious food at reasonable prices. I got the nutella french toast and it was very good! Very filling. Check it out!! This place is vibing with outdoor seating.

Great brunch spot. Reasonable prices. Great service. I had the classic pancakes with bacon and eggs. Good place to come on a lazy Sunday or during the week for breakfast or lunch. Ambiance is casual. They don't rush you which is great.

The coffee is great 5/5 The food was delicious 5/5 The service was amazing 5/5 The locale is hermoso 5/5 The staff was friendly and very accommodating on a cold morning. The food was really good. Benedicts were made perfectly. Bread could of been a bit more toasty. Plants everywhere and just a nice feeling of relaxation. Will totally be back.

Can you spot the restaurant? hint: it's in the center.

I wanted to try someplace different today. Aranda's is located just behind El Tapatio's Restaurant and next to a VFW. Fast service and seating, it took about 5 minutes for someone to take my order... My food came out within 10-15 minutes. It was fairly busy for this small restaurant today, with about 10 tables occupied. There is minimal indoor seating and covered outdoor seating. They had these strange looking things on a couple of tables; they looked like pilloncillos with propellars, haha. After sitting for a few minutes, I figured out they were shoo fly shoo thingies. It's a great idea for outside dining. I chose to sit inside to avoid a coastal breeze because I didn't bring a jacket; however, there were a few flies inside which came to be a little annoying. I didn't have one of those shoo fly things, I didn't ask for it, nor was I offered one. The food was good. Not bad. Not wow spectacular. Portions were average. My toast wasn't buttered. Just plain. I didn't ask for any butter or jelly. I ate it plain. I noticed one table had a problem. Apparently, no jus came with their au jus sandwich. These customers were seated just before I was. The hubby ate his meal, but wifey waited 15-20 min for them to make "the sauce". They asked for the sandwich to be warmed and to come out when the sauce was ready. They didn't appear to be too greatly agitated. Their whole meal was comped, and the staff handled the issue very professionally. The customers were about to just leave when the wifey's food finally came out. They laughed, and then she stayed to eat. Afterwards, the couple came in and left a tip for the servers. Overall, my experience was a solid 3.5 stars. Get rid of the flies, butter up my toast, and I think it I would bump up my rating to 4 or 4.5.

Today, I woke up wanting somewhere new. My first thought was finding somewhere with an amazing Mexican mocha. Amanda's cafe was a hit. Very cute, trendy spot with a huge variety of drinks. My mocha was good. I did need to ask for simple syrup to be added. I prefer my coffees on the sweet side. Hubby got the French toast he was happy they did not skip on their servings. My sandwich was also enough for two. Love finding hidden treasures, especially so close to the beach. Now for a walk on the beach with my amazing Mexican Mocha.

    Lavender Latte

I'm really particular about my coffee, but this Lavender latte hits the spot! The food is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly friendly, making it a wonderful brunch spot to enjoy.

    Empty tables

We showed up at Aranda's with friends visiting from out of town and were completely ignored for about 10 minutes. When I finally asked for a table for 12, the hostess said the wait would be an hour--even though there were three empty tables in plain sight. I asked if they could be put together, but she flatly refused. It wasn't just what she said, but how she said it--her tone was rude and dismissive. I'm usually patient and willing to wait, but the lack of courtesy made us leave. We went to Pizza Port instead, where we were welcomed right away and treated kindly. Aranda's really missed the mark on hospitality.

Food was flavoured well with a cute ambiance. It's a shame this restaurant is not out on a Main Street where it can be seen easily. Such a great restaurant for IB. Definitely going back.

You could tell the potatoes were never frozen, the tortillas were freshly fried, and the beans were on point. We shared a 1/2 order of pancakes and WOW... some of the fluffiest pancakes ever. They came with bacon and were honestly my favorite thing we ordered. My son got the French toast which was really good too -- maybe not as amazing as the pancakes, but I'd still order them again. (Of course I tasted everything .) My daughter's banana latte was scrumptious and perfectly balanced without tasting artificial. Overall, such a cozy hidden gem with fresh, flavorful food. It looks like it might end where the corner is, but it extends all the way in. Note that it still fills up quick on the weekends. Very cute interior, coffee, cups, everything. The menu looks like graphic design was someone's passion, although I low key wonder if AI was used. The mazapan latte was a bit too creamy for me, but as someone that usually takes their coffee black, that's probably my fault for ordering something like that. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, and I like how they were mixed in. The cheese was a nice touch. Sometimes, I think refried beans + potato is too dry, but these beans were not as thick and the potato was also surprisingly soft and warm. It also came with some nice tortillas. Finally, a shout-out for this special hot sauce. It's deceptively hot for how sweet and syrupy it looks and feels. Quite tasty. I wouldn't mind purchasing a bottle of this.
