They, along with the other teachers in the classroom as well as my son's 1:1 aide all covered up the assault for a week before they notified me of the assault. Craven County School District did a poor internal investigation and refused to give me a copy of their findings in their report and made the entire situation an even bigger disaster. no accountability was taken. Kelly Leonhart-Griffin was transferred over to a Havlock Middle School as an assistant principal. They do so many activities with the kids as far as educational field trips and they have a lot of great perks if your kid meets the goals for the year. (movies, bowling, parties, etc) They also have 2 family nights a year where all the kids and their families come out to the school and get to see their teachers and the teachers fill you in on what's going on in their class and there is a lot of fun activities to do. They make sure to include the parent in on everything there. The staff is extremely nice and I've never had any complaints at all. What's also really neat is that during the summer the library is open for the students to come and chill out and read some books.

The instructor, wish I could remember her name, was so kind, helpful and entertaining. The class was simple to follow and we came out with great paintings. She mentioned that they host a lot of events, one being "lights out"painting classes. I'll definitely be coming back for that.
