It's bloody delicious, soft, moist, with just the right dusting of icing sugar. That and a gluhwein on a freezing January day sets you up for a walk on the ice on the north sea. Yes, it's really that cold here! I wouldn't recommend actually walking on the sea ice, since I ended up falling through it, into the gloopy "vat", which is a rich dark freezing mud that's only found here. I'm sure in summer it's lovely too.
