It's not far away from Edmonton. The parking was not an issue. The place is huge with tons of choices and it may not look as fancy as some other places but the quality is very good. The staff is friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable about their plants and they provide the best solutions for this weather condition. Kathleen helped us today and she was great. She provided great information, helped us pick the plants we needed and showed us all available options. Upon viewing the wedding flowers the day prior to wedding...the bride was told that the peachy roses would be exchanged out, for different ones and a final inspection would be done before sending them out, to remove any broken or browning flowers. This was not the case and we discovered that a flower that was definitely not to be used, was in the arrangements. Bits of the bride's bouquet, started falling out at the alter and continued throughout the day! Could it be that Heather is overloaded and there is little quality control, due to time factors? I don't know...but $2,000. and the word of a "professional" should warrant the best quality and condition of the flowers. Quite disappointing. Just remember.....once you pay...you have no recourse!!!!

I have never had these worries at Black Gold Gallery and Frame. The owner is a lovely woman who is friendly but content to leave you to browse if you tell her you are just looking. A little known fact about this place also is if you are a Bradford exchange fan they will place an order for you if you see something you like on the website and will do it through their own account which is great if online shopping makes you uncomfortable or you don't have a credit card. Just make sure you have at least half the money to put down on your purchase and they will call you when it arrives. They were very understanding with me the last time I made a purchase and it took me three days to get to Leduc to actually pick it up. I only received one extra reminder phone call and not once was I ever accused of trying to flake out on paying them the other half of the money. These folks have been around since 1993 and with great selection and unbeatable customer service it is easy to see why. If you are in the Leduc area and looking to add to the decor of your home make sure to give this great small business a look and I promise you will not be disappointed.
