It is very hard to believe that someone with an established face book page has very poor customer service. I paid $300 in cash the day she came to take pictures. She showed up 20 minutes late but ended up staying very long to take photos for the photo session we had hoped for. She had asked for 3 week time stating that the edits we are requesting will take more time. We have given her enough time. And at the end of week 3, upon asking repeatedly, she shared another link with the unedited photos that we could download only by paying some extra $$$$ (surprise surprise). After that she stopped responding to our phone calls and text messages. Giving her a benefit of doubt, it could be that she is super busy with other stuff but doesn't mean she cannot respond via text. Two months after hiring her for our photo needs, we have absolutely no response regarding the links so far from her. Upon calling her and asking her why she sent another website link that is showing another couple of hundred $$$ to purchase, she stated that we will get a separate google drive link with both edited and unedited photos. We never received either of those links. This is very unprofessional. In short, I would think twice before hiring Janet Skeem for any of their personal or professional photo needs. She sent all my calls to voicemail and didn't care to at least respond via a single text stating when exactly I will get my pictures. I am still waiting on my photos as I write this review. I have nothing to gain by writing this, except as a warning to anyone else who may be thinking of hiring her. The time frame at which those photos was taken is not going to come back no matter how much money we spend. I'm deeply disappointed with the service we received hope others read this in case they're looking to hire her for important shoots.

They invite you into their home for appointments, and are genuinely happy for this exciting time in their clients' lives. Our engagement photo shoot with Daniel was so fun and comfortable. He really helped us feel less awkward about the process, and we soon were laughing and having a great time. The photos from that shoot came out better than I could imagine. My bridal shoot was just as comfortable and I have never seen such amazing photos of myself. Dan made me look more glamorous than I ever thought I could! The day of the wedding Dan and Kristi spent the entire day with my husband and I taking pictures before, during, and after the wedding (from about noon to about 1:30 in the morning!). By now, we were so comfortable around them that we considered them as good friends who happened to hang out and take pictures all day, and those pictures were gorgeous! The quality of the album, photos, and everything else was also exceptional. Due to Dan's photo journalistic style, my husband and I can look at our album and re-live our wedding day all over again from beginning to end. She captured moments that are so very precious to me (that I didn't even know she got)! What an amazing surprise and I'll be forever grateful. Oh, what can I POSSIBLY say about this woman!? Friendly, patient, skilled, tolerant, creative,…read moreartistic...MAGIC. Lisa did our engagement and wedding photos. I tried going with another photographer initially, and was referred to Lisa. Once I looked at her portfolio, I knew SHE was the ONE. Our engagement session in Gruene was sort of odd...when we got to Gruene, our car broke down, so all we were thinking about during the session was "omg, how are we getting home, how do we get the car towed, what the HELL?!" Through all of this, she managed to get some amazing photos of us...she definitely brought out the inner feelings we have and captured it in some amazing fall evening light that just took my breath away. I didn't even know where to tell her I wanted to have the photos taken - just sort of what I was looking for, and it was her idea to head to Gruene. She even got a couple shots inside the dance hall!! Our wedding photos...and I've only gotten a sneak peek at those - they aren't even all ready yet! - unbelievable. She moved around like a ninja...one shot she took she clearly had to be behind the judge, who was obviously in front of us - and no one remembered her being there!! Skills of a true professional. Being there, being everywhere, and yet, being nowhere!! I am an amateur photographer (and FAR more amateur after seeing what she does!!), and I just can't wrap my head around how she does what she does. I instantly fell in love with their style! photos Kate was able to capture but also to represent the experience she more than delivered on. Kate's passion for capturing our special moment and day was so much more than just the perfect shot. Kate's passion and energy created the perfect feels which I believe is what delivered the perfect photos! She had the instant ability to excite and connect in this experience! We truly felt we connected with her and for my husband to also express how much he appreciated and enjoyed her energy and excitement speaks volumes to her abilities because well guys don't typically note this. She created and fostered an environment that really spoke to me, while also gaining his buy in to have fun! We had a few hiccups with the weather being a little less than ideal and Hannah quickly pivoted and moved us inside to continue to party while we waited for the rain to stop. Once it did, she found the perfect opportunity to take our sunset photo's. Her assistant Dave was great and on top of everything as well! However, I want to give Hannah props for her professionalism and flexibility in all of this. Julia was my photographer for everything related to my wedding a little over a year ago. She took…read moreour engagement pictures, my bridal portraits, and our wedding pictures. She is a phenomenal photographer and person. She and Wil (her husband) had us laughing and set us at ease when my husband and I were incredibly awkward at posing ourselves. She got our pictures back to us so quickly and made herself so available for questions. Julia was with us for about 8 hours the day of the wedding. She enabled my husband and his friends to be silly and creative with their pictures and set everyone at ease on a high stress day. I am so glad that Julia was such a big part of our special day and would recommend her to anyone!
