ASR is a great little place. I love how nice and comfortable it is. The atmosphere has an elegant boutique feel. I had a massage with Ashleigh and she did a great job of de-stressing my upper back. I've been having some trouble finding a good massage therapist after moving back to DFW. After my experience here, I can say Ashleigh will be my go-to. I already have another appointment booked. YOU GUYS. My skin was the worst it has EVER been. So I decided to go ahead and get a facial just to see what could happen. I started with the Derma Plane with the infusion - yes it's pricey but about two weeks later, I could see results. I came back three weeks after my initial facial and got the Oxygen facial. That was about two weeks ago and I CANNOT believe how much better my skin is. I even went to the dermatologist in between, who prescribed me medication, but I have waited to take it because I'm not huge on taking unnecessary hormones if I don't need them. So essentially the only different thing I've done is my two appointments here and I am over the moon. Five stars and highly highly recommend. read more

I have been going to Kristin for facials for over 10 years now ( I started with her when i was pregnant and experiencing really bad break-outs and my daughter turns 10 tomorrow!) Hands down the best facials I have ever received and I have been getting facials at various places since I was 16 years-old for mild to moderate acne (now I deal with wrinkes and occasional break-outs). I typically schedule a deep cleansing, microderm or oxygen facial with Kristin which I love. I notice when i keep up my monthly appointments my skin really looks great. ASR has a nice environment and the staff was nice. I went in to get my eyebrows waxed and I left with a patch of skin waxed off. The wax lady stated it was not that bad, when I looked in the mirror it didn't look so bad because the lights are super dimmed. I was expecting them to reduce or waive the price since she tore part of my skin off but they did not. I paid $42. Never going back again! read more

Sarah, one of the owners and estheticians at Arbor Skincare Retreat, has been a saving grace for me since moving to Fort Worth last month. I had recently started to break out on my face like never before and nothing was working to clear up my skin, even products that my dermatologist had recommended. I decided to give Arbor Skincare Retreat a chance since they had great reviews on Yelp and it was the best thing I could have done. I've been going back to Sarah to get facials every two weeks and my skin has cleared up significantly. The atmosphere and ambiance of their place is one of a kind and the staff is very sweet. The ladies at Arbor are amazing! The space is very chic and relaxing. Ashleigh always takes great care of me! Ashleigh is my go-to person when I want to treat myself to some self care with a massage. I am very picky about massages and after moving from Austin had tried many different massage therapists in the metroplex which I found to be very mediocre. I finally came to Arbor and found Ashleigh who is extremely knowledgeable and was able to do exactly what I was looking for. I always leave feeling super relaxed! I have also seen Ashleigh for waxing and she did a great job reshaping my eyebrows after they had been poorly waxed at a nail salon! She was very gentle and knew exactly how to fix it. Unfortunately, this customer service did not come close to exceeding my expectations I made after reading all of these great reviews on Yelp. I waited almost 15 minutes at the front desk to be serviced. I'm not sure is this was laziness or due to conflicting schedules. Either way, I was not pleased. I'm new to the area but wanted great skin care, so I ventured out and made an appointment at ASR. Much to my dismay, Sarah was not courteous nor did she send off a warm and welcoming vibe. Because this business is set up in a comfortable atmosphere, I simply was expecting more. I was interested in other services and the owner was not helpful and honestly, seemed like she could care less about my business. This struck a cord within me, for I am a big advocate to small businesses, especially while trying to find my new "usual" spots in an unfamiliar town. Also, some of the other estheticians were on their phones ignoring the help I needed and questions I had about the business and services. Ft. Worth seems like a traditional, welcoming and warm town to call home. I was hoping ASR would also provide this atmosphere, but sadly enough, it didn't. I will not go back and I encourage others to really evaluate the level of customer service the ladies provide. read more

This place isn't good for sugaring. I don't know about their other services. I have been sugared from a few different places, both good and not so good. This was my worst sugaring experience. Here's my story: I booked to sugar my underarms and a full brazilian. Booking was easy via phone and the place looks nice and clean. The receptionist was polite and offered me water. These were the only good things about my experience. The first girl took me to the back and I undressed. When she came back in, she prepared to do my underarms first. Two things made me uncomfortable about her: she didn't recognize any of the other places I mentioned I had been sugared (they're kind of popular in the area), and as she was handling the sugar, she couldn't control it very well. Usually good sugarers can handle it easily between their fingers and she just seemed to struggle with it being sticky. She began to sugar my underarms and it was more painful than I'm used to. She had to go over each side more than a few times. It was pretty uncomfortable to say the least. Finally, at the end, she went to get a strip, like you use with waxing, to remove the rest of the wax. I have never had a sugarer do this. Throughout the whole thing, she kept talking about how much she loves wax and prefers it. Finally, she was done with my underarms and she begins on my brazilian. Pretty much the same sceaniero; she didn't have good control of the sugar, it was very painful, she kept going over the same areas repeatedly, and she kept talking about wax. After finishing the top portion, she tells me my hair is too coarse and she's going to get her sister who has more/better experience with sugaring. I know I have coarse hair, but it doesn't grow down my legs and it's really not THAT bad. As I said, I get sugared a lot and it's never been more than a minor inconvenience for other sugarers in the past. When she left the room, I lifted the towel to see what was up and there were stray hairs all over the place and huge clumps of sugar stuck my the hair that was still on me. I was really uncomfortable. The sister came in and finished the job. She had better control of the sugar and it was less painful. She walked me to the front and charged me full price for both my underarms and the brazilian, so $110. I thought it was really unprofessional to not comp me after that disaster. Then gave me her card and told me that she'd sugar me from now on, which I would be more comfortable with. So I paid and booked another appointment. The day before my next appointment, I called to get a price check on what this time around would cost. The receptionist told me the same, $110. I cancelled at that point because most places charge a fraction of the initial rate for a brazilian if you keep up with your appointments (ie, $100 initial brazilian, $60 in four weeks). And my all around experience here was awful. Also, as it grew back, there was a lot breakage. More than I've ever had after being sugared. Don't get sugared here, there are much better places. read more

I visited Arbor Skin Care for the first time for Dermaplane with Sara. What a difference it made to my skin. Loved it!!!! Sara took great care in educating me on the products she was using and why.
