I got three quotes and their prices were very reasonable. The cedars look great and they also provided mulch and a long irrigation hose to make it easy to keep them looking great, as well as clear instructions on how to take care of them. And they warranty the job for a year. They came on time and got the job done in a few hours. In other words, they did a fabulous job! We were very pleased with their professionalism and good communication. We highly recommend them.

I used Yelp's service to find an arborist to trim a big tree. The system identified and linked me to this company. They replied fast ( thank you!) but asked for a photo of the tree. I sent them a photo. But then they sent me a note to try a specific tree service. Not them. Ok. I wanted to know why they passed me on to someone. They didn't explain but sent me again to the same company they named. Again I couldn't find anyone by that name except in Toronto. But I'm in Ottawa not in Toronto. I wouldn't have contacted this company in the first place because they do not advertise the kind of work I need. So it was Yelp's system that sent them to me. still they could have transferred me to an existing firm in my area or even simpler: say: we are sorry but we cannot help you. Oh well.

They removed them safely and left very little trace that work had even been done. They were very careful to clean up all debris. They also cut some already fallen logs for us to make them easier to deal with. I would highly recommend them.

My situation was a bit complicated because it wasn't evident if the tree was a city tree or if the tree was my responsibility. Green Thumb worked with the city to determine it was, in fact, a city tree...so not one that Green Thumb would cut down. Despite the amount of time that Green Thumb put into the project they refused compensation. They are were also very polite and friendly during their site visit.

Both Alain and his partner, Jean-Guy, worked tirelessly in totally cleaning away all the branches and large stumps. Even raked the lawn to give a pristeen finish to our front lawn and used their leaf blower and rake to assist in cleaning the debris from our driveway, as well. The next job was to take down our old Birch tree from our backyard. They showed us how rotten it was and agreed with us, that it was a good idea to remove it, before falling down on our neighbour's garage. They began sawing the first branch only to find a very large hornets nest, with hornets emerging due to the saw disturbance. Also noted higher up was yet another nest as well. It was late afternoon, so they said they would return the next morning (before 6 am!) to spray a special foam on the nests, while the hornets were still in there. Alain & Jean-Guy waited awhile before they could finally proceed to totally get the Birch tree cut down. Totally removed the debris from the area and shredded the large branches and disposed of the larger pieces in their truck. Again raked the area and made the everyting totally appear professionally cleaned up! Extremely satisfied with his final quote, even with the above and beyond work that was performed with removing the hornets nests!!! Both Alain and his partner, Jean-Guy, worked together like a "well-oiled machine". Both men were very personable and easy to discuss with them the various stages. We fired them and went with Zoryk's - within 2 months, the lawn was revitalized and began to bloom. Mike Zoryk (the owner/president) gave us helpful advice on maintenance, in addition to his own hard work. Granted it wasn't cheap to renew the lawn, we had one painful summer. This year, we have continued with Zoryk's (and a lower price) and have continued to be quite happy with their services. They are reliable, and helpful. I don't know what kind of seed they used but it is not grass seed, everything else in growing in it but grass. I called they said they drove by and saw it. That was all they said.
