I asked Justin from Arbortech to swing by my house and provide a quote for tree and landscaping work. During the inspection, I told him about how my property was damaged by another tree company. He told me that he was actually filing a lawsuit against that other tree company for unfair trade practices. I decided not to use Arbortech because they were pushy and trying to convince me to sign a contract with them ASAP. I found a company that was not as pushy, had better reviews, and did quality work instead. Almost a year later, Justin asked me to testify in court on HIS behalf, against that other tree company. I said no; I don't want to be involved in a court case. And he said he will subpoena me. He did in fact subpoena me to appear in court on HIS behalf against a tree company competitor. God forbid a client wants to obtain a quote from someone for honest work without having to go to court with the company that quoted them MONTHS ago. This is honestly NUTS. I can't believe Justin would do this in retaliation for me rejecting his services and going with a competitor of his. read more

Arbortech Tree services in Coventry, CT, just finished cutting down about 40 Hemlock trees next to our driveway. The trees had been infested by Hemlock Woolly Adelgid and needed to come down. This was the second time Arbortech was helping us with problem trees. We were very worried how the area would look after the tree removal. No worries! We were very impressed about how nice the area looked afterwards. The arborists were there early in the morning, prompt with their timing even on a day of heavy rain. They took down a massive oak that was rotting from the inside out, in a weird spot, with minimal damage to the lawn and surrounding trees. Cut a neighbors tree down that boarders our property. Cutting top branches off and letting them fall on our NEW arborvitaes tearing the braches almost completely off of one and half the branches of 2 more! When confronted, Justin said don't worry they will grow back in a few years...WTF?!?!? After much discussion, he then finally agreed to replace 2 of the trees and we gave him our landscapers info he said he would call and order the trees and put them in. I didn't want this hack planting in my yard so I asked if he could drop them off & I will plant them myself, his response was that he wanted the old trees back, really??? After waiting weeks & having to call him, he said it was too hot to plant so we needed to wait, ok. Waited till temps were lower, still no call, call him, oh your guy doesn't have any trees available now but he (Justin) will call when he has trees. I am not calling again, Its been over a year and no word about out trees, very bad way of taking care of your screw up! Also falling branches in our yard tearing up the grass and leaving a bunch of debris from cutting and small branches left after they were through. I never mentioned this to my neighbor so they have no clue what he did, not even sure they were happy with his services? Would you let this guy work near your property?? I had a fantastic experience from start to finish with this company ... so much so that I felt I needed to share. The response from my initial call for a quote was almost immediate (far different than other businesses!) and an appointment was scheduled. Justin came out and actually listened to my concerns over the health of the extremely large trees close to my house and power lines, along with a couple others I wasn't sure of. Unlike other places that had the standard "We'll take them all down" reply, he was honest and showed me where the trees were unhealthy, where pruning was all that was needed, etc., with zero pressure to even do business with him. The conversations with both Justin and Lindsey after my initial visit made the decision even easier and I went with having 2 very large trees cut down and the other pruned. Their crew was here for 2 days and at the end of each day, there was not a twig or leaf left behind! Paul and his guys are beyond efficient and top notch ... their experience shows. I am extremely happy with the work Arbortech performed at my home. I was basically living in a forest. I have a huge oak tree in the front of my house that was starting to grow over the house, landscaping in the front growing out of control and tree limbs growing over into my driveway as I pulled in. Justin and his crew did an amazing job cleaning up my property and gave my home a beautiful curb appeal. After this horrible storm we just had I noticed a tree limb was hanging dangerously in front of my door. Justin came back that day and removed it for safety. I have worked with a few tree removal services over many years and Justin with his crew from Arbortech are by far the best company that I have ever hired. They were timely in keeping their appointment. They were very polite and very professional. Justin took his time to make sure that the two forty foot trees fell correctly because they were very close to my storage shed at the rear of my house.
