Not for the weak or witless, since even an e-bike requires strength, alertness, and agility when plugged-in pedestrians step in front of you! The tour was fabulous! Our guide led the way and at each stop she gave extensive history of the particular site. We saw so much of this fantastic, beautiful, and amazing city, much more than just walking or taking the tour bus. We will definitely do this again!

I…read morereally liked the bike ride from downtown to Mission Bay and just beyond that till the bike path along the water ends. She said it was 22 kilometers(whatever that is in miles). It was about a 3 hour trip. We made stops along the way. We stopped across from Rangitoto Volcano and we were treated to coffee or ice cream at Movenpick(Swiss ice cream). That was icing on the cake. It definitely wasn't raining, but it was a bit overcast. When the bike path ended along the water, we turned around and went back the same way we came in. The leaders led a small group of 6-8 people at a moderate speed. I was always sure to ride behind the leader because I wanted to go fast and not have to ride behind another group member. Maybe that's obnoxious. Oh well.

Back to the track not bikes, the track is very well maintained and has such nice scenery.It is so nice to just drive out there and spend the day in the forest hitting some jumps and having fresh air.There is bike servicing,Cafe and lots of seating area inside and outside last of all there is a hose and cleaning products to clean off your bike after while the dirt or mud (if you even have any on your bike) is still wet.

I was given a map when I bought my pass which showed all the trails (and their difficulty level). I think I biked around 10km (covered some Nature Valley trails and Big Mumma, before returning to the carpark). I found it to be a good workout with the hill work, and I liked that any jumps were graded by difficulty level also (aswell as there always being a bypass option). There were a lot of helpful and friendly people out on the tracks, who were only too happy to point me in the right direction, and fill me in on the most suitable track. It took me awhile to get used to all the exposed roots, but I did find it really fun. I particularly liked one new trail on my return to the carpark, that was like a BMX track. And I will end this review by saying I did somewhat spectacurlary come off my bike about 5 minutes from finishing, in some loose sand... But I was able to bike out without having to call the Emergency Response number written on my wristband! On site there is a cafe, bike servicing, lots of helpful staff and plenty of outdoor seating. In the carpark there was even an area with a hose and cleaning products to clean up your bike.

Going on a four day hiking trip and need something lightweight and breathable that also keeps you warm when the sun goes down? That dries completely within 2 hours? That through sweat, blood and tears STILL doesn't smell? Yes, all of this IS possible and it comes with a baaaaa code. I wear my merino a lot. Days on end. Doing ridiculous activities from tramping, mountain biking, swimming, running, rafting, burpees...you name it. I still have not been able to get this tshirt to smell. Ever. If that's not magic, I really don't know what is. PS - this specific store is kinda small but highly convenient on Queen street. The service I received here was great, too. I actually had a small tear in my 6 month old tshirt and they exchanged it for a brand new one no questions asked.

The service is non-existent. I like to think that this is actually a futuristic museum without tour guides, showcasing cheap warehouse bikes, that is just ahead of it's time. Three staff members sat around, keeping their heads down, and a fourth barreled past me without saying a word. I didn't see a lot in the way of accessories other than the usual helmets and locks. This could be an adequate place to purchase your first bike if you can attract any of the staff members attention.

In my "logical" mind, Bike Barn was the ideal place to pick up some bike accessories as this type of purchase doesn't require 'expert' advice and would be cheaper with all the '60% OFF' promotions. How very wrong I was. Not only was the selection poor (I was after a USB rechargeable tail light), the prices were HIGHER than the locally-owned bike shop down the street AND I was downright ignored while in the shop (okay, slight exaggeration - one man asked me, "Do you know what you are after?" and when I said "Yes, a bike tail light" - he vaguely pointed me toward the back of the store). This is our local bike place. We've brought our kiddies bikes from here since they've been riding…read morebikes and our eldest is 18 now! They've got kids bikes, trainer wheels, bike baskets which our teenage girls now like, bike seats if your old one has worn out, new tyres and so much more. As for adult bikes they have the full range. This massive store is filled with aisles and aisles of bikes, they are even hanging from the rafters. First class advise can be had here too as you'd expect. I find this New Lynn Bike Barn really friendly and they know their bike stuff. If you need any information about bike trails around Auckland they can help you out. They run a great repair and maintenance service too.

Fantastic. This park has a modest playground, 4 swings, climb wall, slide, monkey bars, 2 picnic tables and a few park benches. There is lots of surrounding space for free play too. Always clean, well looked after grounds. Rubbish bins on site. No toilet though. You can park directly outside "Sackville Reserve" in a suburban street, safe in the knowledge that you don't have to walk miles for the trip home! Love!
