Set aside an afternoon and walk across Custom House Square to On The Square Emporium. This vintage shore/auction house has some of the most quirky stock you're likely to find anywhere. They have everything form a human skull to retro cameras! I spent around 40 minutes riffling through their various antiques and furniture items. The only ting I would say is that each item seemed quite expensive although you wouldn't expect anything different for collectables. Also make sure you ask the 'all in' cost of items as some have an added buyers premium - this will keep you right. I absolutely love this shop - more of a museum really without an entrance fee, if you're looking for a signature item of furniture for your home then pay The Emporium a visit.

Thy have a huge rang of vintage items set outside the store, this is what actually caught my attention. It's a bit like an upmarket car boot sale. There didn't really seem to be a theme to the items. There was a mix of furniture, household decorations and general bric-a-brac. I loved it - there is something really exciting about sifting through all their products. Almost like a treasure hunt. Antiques collectors would love this place. It also had a range of vintage camera equipment that was behind lock and key. Upstairs houses more modern handmade gifts, cards and part accessories. If you want a unique gift for a loved one or are decorating your home and want something a little different look no further than The Cove! Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

I was doing a message along the street and thought finally it was my chance to check it out. More Junk is perfectly named, it is filled with junk of all sorts. Crockery and cabinets, pictures and lamps, DVDs and old coins, it is all there. I nearly had a heart attack as I walked in to find myself face to face with a life size, pretty scary Jack Nicholson statue, random indeed. It reminded me of the flea markets in Berlin, but without the hipsters and beautiful surroundings. It was a bit more junk than kitsch for my liking, but I'll be in again, you never know what a magpie like me might find.

I spent about twenty minutes in here the other day as the place is very small and quite intimate which made me feel I couldn't really use the place as a library. There is an extensive of first editions as well as a surprisingly large collection of old children's books - many of which I recognized from my own childhood such as Jemima Puddle duck and Thomas the tank engine. Because of the uniqueness of some of the books and the extraordinary condition they have been kept in some cost over £40. Obviously there are other books you can pick up for a fraction of the recommended retail price and I was able to find a book on painting on glass for a mere £6.00 - let my new hobby commence!

The shop is small but well laid out, kept well and cosy. The pieces on show here are fantastic and although my budget rarely passes Ikea its still nice to come and see beautiful original pieces that don't come flat packed in a box. I must also point out that they also sell art, lavish mirrors and beautiful jewellery! If you're looking for a beautiful engagement ring with character and history do have a look as they really are beautiful! (not that I'm pining or anything...)

This is the place for the serious money on a par with the best of the big London auction houses like Sotheby's or Bonham's - in fact one such catalogue was open with a picture of the same furniture item as was in the shop. They also provide a service for sourcing antiques for those in the running for that sort of thing, but not for those of us better suited to an occasional rummage at Ross's.

It is in fact, a jewelers. It's just an explosion of gold jewelry, watches, little boxes and various antiques which is a lot for the eye to take in. From venturing into this 2nd hand shop I can only assume that they will buy absolutely anything, anyone's selling. It's run by a strange looking man who just smiles as you walk in. It's quite small so you always feel like he's looking at you as you wonder round trying to find a little hidden gem among the mass of items spread out over 4 glass counters. If you're in the mood for a hunt around for something unusual then this is the place to go.

I had the pleasure of calling in to this shop a few days ago and I felt like I was a child again. The dolls houses they have are massive, just what I always dreamed of. Any size, shape, colour you could ever imagine. It's a collector's paradise. In store you can also find various collectible items including chairs, tables dolls and so on and if this is your thing then I'm sure you wouldn't want to miss this adorable little shop. I'm surprised it's still open as this hobby in my opinion would certainly seem to be one that is dying out, but thanks to those who still collect such dainty items they still run a good trade. The massive selection of earrings caught my eye with all sorts of colors and sizes and, get this, the prices started at around a pound! I'm starting to wonder why I bother paying a fortune cartain other stores when you can help charity, get a lovely piece and pay next to nothing all at one go. If you are a student and you need a desk or a decent TV for a bargain price then this seems to be the place to go. Out the back is crammed with old desks, wardrobes, tables, sofas and chairs all at very reasonable prices - now none of this stuff is modern or scratch/stain free but it is usable and functioning. A real God send if you are strapped for cash but still need a decent piece of furniture. I was really impressed with this charity shop and I will definitely be back in periodically, just to see if there is anything I can make use of in my wee house.

I love this place…read more.. It's got everything you need for moving into a new house from sofas, to chest of drawers and wardrobes. The store gets daily delieveries which means if you miss out on something be sure to take a look again the next day as something bigger and better could have arrived. A little lesson I learned the hard way is to put down a deposit if you see something you like because the items go so fast if you come back at the end of the day it will be gone. The shop is great for student houses as you can pick up bits and pieces for next to nothing and then not feel too guilty about leaving them behind when you have no room in your car when moving. As well as furniture the store does a few rails of clothing which is worth a quick look for some bargain basics.
