If you drive they have a small parking lot for clients which is appreciated since the parking is metered in this area. They have an excellent selection of shoes for all types of running gaits and they carry a lot of Asics shoes which scores big points with me since I swear by this brand for my running shoes. The staff are very knowledgeable and if you don't know what kind of shoe type you need they will be able to help you with that. In addition to that they carry tons of running clothes for all seasons and accessories like fuel belts, hats and so on. The store is pricey but then again I have yet to find an affordable running store in Montreal. Sometimes if you are lucky you will find stuff on sale but if you don't be prepared to shell out the money for whatever it is you want to buy. They also offer running clinics to prepare you for races so if you are toying with the idea of running a race and would like to train in a group with some coaching look into this. These clinics work up to a specific goal race. They can be a great way to get into running or to take it up to the next level.

Nike is one of the coolest and strongest brands out there in the world. It ranks up there with Disney, Coca-Cola and Apple. What I appreciate lately of Nike is they are continuing to be an innovative brand and continue to produce comfortable slick footwear and athletic clothing. I will stay a follower for life. The outlet shop here is clean, well organized (for an outlet store) and easy to navigate. Usually other outlets I've been to can look like a bomb has exploded (or an ant hill after you disturb it) as many people are rummaging through their clothes and shoes. They keep this place relatively in order. There are times during the year in which clearance shoes are an additional 25% off. I've found this at Boxing Day, in the fall and other sporadic times. If you can get in one of these times you are lucky. For those who want the best deal on clothes head to the clearance rack. Selection is limited but you can score some good if not great deals. Most of the other clothes are either slightly discounted or near full retail price. Some days good scores are found other days you may walk out empty handed. This shoe store has been in Montreal's Little Italy forever and sells Italian shoes made in Italy…read more I remember back in the day, Montreal was littered with independent Italian family-run shoe stores where they privately imported Italian shoes and had their own suppliers back in Italy, usually located in little out-of-the-way strip malls. I used to see those types of shoe stores in areas where the Italian community are particularly strong, areas like Lasalle, Ville Emard, Pointe Aux Trembles and once upon a time, even in Pointe-Claire. I don't know what happened, but most of those shops are now gone and it's a shame because those shoes lasted me forever and I always got compliments on them because they were singular in their styles and they were reasonably priced. I think Cortina is probably one of the few left now. The service I received here over the years has always been friendly and the shoes are great. Prices here are not cheap but for the quality you get, they are fair. I usually buy boots here.

I'm a fan of this brand, and this seems to be the only New Balance store in the Montreal area, and…read moreit's an outlet. I was hoping to find some good deals, and while the deals and discounts did seem great (stacked discounts of i believe 30% off of already sale-tagged item prices) - I personally found the selection of items to be lacking. I tried on a few pieces of clothing, but none of them were quite the right fit for me, which I did not expect. I have trouble finding clothes that fit well, but with New Balance I can usually find *something* that is nice, stylish, and suits me well. On this day, however, I left empty handed...though they seemed to have plenty of buyers and back-to-school shoppers while I was there. I don't think I would personally go out of my way to go back to this location, as there wasn't as much clothing as I hoped there would be and the store was a bit smaller than New Balance stores I've been to in the past. Ultimately: not for me, but I would still recommend it to others people if they're in the area as the prices were great.
