Went there to buy fireworks. It's out in the middle of the desert but worth it for the prices.

Amazing selection at reasonable prices. Very pleasant and helpful staff. I know nothing about…read morefireworks and told a very nice young man this. He didn't try to sell me the whole warehouse. He asked me the ages of the people that would be there to witness the fireworks and asked me how much money I wanted to spend. I had received a coupon in the mail from Fantom that morning. They had no inventory of anything that was a deal as they falsely claimed on this very pretty discount card. I wasted not only my time, but gas driving from Rock Hill to Ft Mill in a truck that does not get the best of gas mileage. I was not a happy shopper when I couldn't find the products at Fantom. The salesgirl said, "we don't have those items at this location". So therefore, I have to go to a store 2 hours from Rock Hill to get this deal. I think not. I Googled fireworks stores in Ft Mill since I was in the parking lot at Fantom anyway. I saw Fireworks Supermarket was just a short distance from where I was. So, that is where I went. Best decision I had made that day. Fantom needs to quit wasting trees to send out their phony coupon deals. I wish I could remember this young man's name. He told me that he had worked for this company since a teenager and would not leave. That speaks volumes about the integrity of the owners of the store. I will not go anywhere else for fireworks in the future but Fireworks Supermarket. They do not offer any "buy one get one free deals", ever according to the this very professional asset to the business. He needs a raise!

South Carolina Strawberry Festival - Strawberry goodies we brought home from four different vendors.

This was our second time coming to the Strawberry Festival. The last time we went was 8-10 years…read moreago. We enjoyed ourselves each time. Tips: Arrive first thing when they open to avoid traffic and finding a spot to park. They have several different lots to choose from - some will shuttle you or others are a short walk. We chose the lot with the short walk. Bring cash for this - it's $5. Arriving early allows you to walk around to each of the vendors before it gets slammed just to check things out. Lines for food started early, so if you think about having lunch at 12, be prepared for long lines. We had no issues with vendors accepting credit card or cash. Bring water. We brought our hydroflask filled with water and ice which was nice because it gets warm fast. What I love: That each vendor had at least one menu item featuring strawberries - whether it is a dessert or a meal. If you love strawberries like me, you can find a lot of great items to fill you up! Look forward to it again next year, it's a great time!

AMAZING fun time for the whole family! Great food selection from many LOCAL food establishments…read morethat have their own trucks. A standard set of faire food too... YES on the FUNNEL CAKE! A good set of rides for kids aged 8-12 years old. Prices are carnival-level... not cheap... but understandable. LOTS of lawn and grass areas to hang out. LOTS of police and safety folks very visible. All the tent vendors are in the shade, so it was easy and nice to walk around and visit them out from the sun. LOTS of toilets... AND a physical toilet building for those that dont like the plastic portable toilets. There is a NEW kids area they built in the park and they had it fenced in so the kids would not be running away and out of parent control, it was like a mini-day-care. Excellent selection of local and appropriate music to listen to that was at appropriate volume levels to be able to enjoy. Parking was difficult, but there were bus shuttles to the local school that ran every few minutes, so that was helpful. They had a classic car show, that was fun to walk around. I think they should have had more 'competition' style activities.

I am incredibly impressed with Village Park ... and the city of Kannapolis as a whole! My husband…read moreand I attended the opening show of their free summer concert series, and we were in awe of how well-maintained this park is, and how organized our entire experience was. We arrived around 5:30 PM to claim our seats on the lawn, and thankfully we were able to find a parking spot right near the pedestrian bridge across the street. The city posted a very detailed map of parking options on their Instagram page ... and the amazing thing is, not only is all of that parking free, but there is a free shuttle that will take folks back and forth to their spots if they are unable to walk that far (or even if they just don't want to!) The openers started at 7 PM, and then the main act started around 8:15 PM. This gave the crowd plenty of time to get situated in their spots, grab some snacks, hit the restrooms, or even ride the carousel! This was a family-friendly outdoor concert, and they did a great job of having food/drink/activities for both kids and adults to enjoy. A glass of wine or a can of beer was just $5 each ... which felt like a steal since I'm used to spending more than double that for the same pour at other concert venues. The show itself was awesome ... we saw The Fray and they were everything we wanted them to be and more. The sound and lighting were both great. The layout of the park allowed many folks to stay in their folding chairs for the majority of the show, and still be able to see what was going on on-stage. Five stars all around for Village Park and the city of Kannapolis ... more cities should take note of what a great job they are doing here to engage their community!

We stopped here because they advertise a lowest price guarantee and my daughter was all about the inflatable ape our front. We browsed the store, so much is stuffed in the small space but there are employees everywhere constantly restocking. We had a full cart and then came across the Maximum Load pack. It had no price and they only had one left. A young man gladly snapped a photo of the SKU and came back a few minutes later to tell us $389. We tossed it on the cart and headed to the check out. Packs similar to this at other local stores were being advertised between $600-$800!!! Once at the house we called some neighbors to help us anger the neighborhood. Everything in the pack blew off perfectly and everyone enjoyed the show. We had a fantastic time and saved a good deal of money buying in bulk. The employees were SO helpful and even loaded the car for us! I'll be going back a few times to stock up through the year. Tip: if there is not a price, definitely ask!

The store was fairly busy and the aisles seemed a little small with so many people. I'm no fireworks expert but they seemed to have a decent selection. Note: They have an $8 minimum on credit transactions. Annoying if you don't carry cash and have a small purchase. As we were driving away, we decided to stop in across I-77 at the Red Rocket Fireworks store. They had an item I bought over at Davey Jones Fireworks for HALF the price! Supposedly, Davey Jones has a lowest price guarantee... From their website: "we beat any price or it's free!" Well, I called about it and it doesn't really work like that... On the phone they said that I would have to come back in with the item and they would call the other store to investigate. Then they would refund the difference between prices. It isn't really worth the hassle for a few bucks (which is probably what they count on). Oh, and they don't offer any bonus/free items with purchase like Red Rocket did.
